    Pottery Barn Outlet

This is a rare outlet location for Pottery Barn ... there aren't many of these on the east coast…read more Many might remember that this space in the Wrentham Premium Outlets was previously occupied by Restoration Hardware, which has since moved to Patriot Place. It looks the same now that it is Pottery Barn ... kind of an industrial warehouse sort of feel. The prices here honestly aren't much different from an actual Pottery Barn, except for some of the sale items from the end of the season. Most times, the furniture is discounted ... but not greatly as if the official Pottery Barn website has 20 or 30% off, they don't honor it. Generally, we find that you'll save $50 - $100 off the retail price of furniture through their website or stores. However, you should note that most of the furniture in the outlet store is scratch and dent stuff with some damage being more noticeable than others. The great thing is, Pottery Barn is notorious for backordering items ... so, often the couch, table, chairs you order from the website or regular Pottery Barn store are shipped from the factory and not available to purchase from the floor (unless its a Floor Model at the end of the season). At the outlet, they only sell the stock on the floor, so if you see something you want, you won't have to wait 6 months until it is delivered (even though they say 3 - 6 weeks) because you are buying the piece off the floor. They arrange shipping with a local company, whose prices are very reasonable. We bought a large dresser and it cost us $160 to have it picked up at the store, wrapped and transported and set up in our summer house, 30 miles from Wrentham. That is a huge convenience and bargain and the moving company does a fantastic job. The employees here are hit or miss. Unfortunately, many of them act as though they were working at a Rolls Royce dealership and are on the pretentious side. There are a few who have been really helpful over the last year though and went out of their way to make sure we were happy customers. Overall, if you don't mind a little scratch and dent ... and a hodgepodge of availability ... this store is pretty cool to browse around in. Don't expect to find things at very deep discounts as the pricing usually works out to fairly similar to what you see on their website. However, you are able to see the items in person and have it in your home within a few days at the Outlet. The selection I'd say is so-so usually ... they have 4 - 5 beds, 6 - 8 couches. 20 - 30 chairs, many dining chairs and rugs and shelves and shelves of knick knack crap, bedding and tablewear. We have bought a bed, dining table, dresser, mirror, rug and lamps here. Sadly, Pottery Barn quality is not fantastic and we notice the paint or stains wear off very fast, despite the high prices ... but we like the style.

Of course a lot of the stuff is wood, like fences, cool light posts and mail box poles, huge and elaborate play sets for kids, nice sheds, gazebos and pavilions, tables, chairs and stools and my favorite, little wooden bridges. I've always wanted a bridge in my back yard, just wish I had a stream or river to put it over. Walpole also has some very cool and creative gates, arbors, cupolas and lattice thingies. If you actually make it inside the store you will see gigantic and very impressive looking bird houses. These aren't just little boxes nailed to a pole but a seemingly endless variety of shapes and sizes for everything from humming birds to pterodactyls. Lots of bird baths so the avians in the houses can stay clean and cool spheres, thermometers, wind chimes, garden critters and great looking weather vanes. Even high quality basketball hoops and backboards. All kinds of things that you probably never thought of but once you see will desperately desire. Some of the stuff you can take home in your pocket, other things you need a huge truck to move. I love going here just to look around, I seem to find new things every time. Sure, a lot of the stuff is basically useless and unnecessary and this isn't Wal-Mart, the prices aren't cheap. But if you are looking for a bird house that probably has more room than most people's homes, an baroque and ornate moon gate, a fat little Hotai Buddha, a lighthouse weathervane or a cool but totally useless and frivolous little bridge, this is the place.

It's exactly what they promised! It is what we need to store our snow blower, etc. I asked endless questions and the owner, Jon, and another employee named Lauren were incredibly patient. They answered every question within a day or less. I have had so many negative experiences with contractors, but this was a great purchase from the first email to the professional install. At one point, Jon said I could have the guy who installed our shed pad (see picture) call him if he had questions to ensure it was done properly for drainage purposes. I have never had such a positive experience with a major purchase-- of anything. I wish I needed another shed. I would buy one from them again. My suggestion is to find out exactly what you need to ensure a seamless install. They list details on their website for reference. Send them a picture and ask if it looks reasonably within their parameters. They answered every question. A good quality shed isn't cheap, but done well-- it's so worth the money. I want to add that the crew who installed the shed were incredibly professional. They showed up early. They worked diligently. They got the shed up in a very timely fashion and cleaned up better than anyone who has ever done work on our property. I highly recommend NEO and Eastern Shed who did the install. Great service. Love my shed!! Thank you--
