My family and I have been patients at Dr. Davidson's practice since Dr. Loder retired. The transition between dentists was seamless, and each time I visit, I'm impressed by the office's continued efforts to update its equipment and better serve patients. The practice offers a wide range of services, including cleanings, crowns, root canals, sealants, fillings, bonding, teeth whitening, and Invisalign. Our family takes good care of our oral health and continues to attend our twice-yearly cleaning appointments. Dr. Davidson has an excellent eye for cosmetic dentistry, and it truly shows in her work. Recently, my husband and I both needed crowns, and she did an outstanding job. She is patient, gentle, and consistently checks in to make sure you're comfortable throughout the procedure. I also want to recognize the wonderful ancillary staff, including the hygienists and front-desk team. All of the hygienists are excellent, but Renee stands out. I always try to schedule my cleanings with her because she is meticulous and thorough and makes sure you receive a great cleaning. The front-desk staff is fantastic as well, especially Lexi. She is incredibly knowledgeable about insurance coverage and knows how to navigate the reimbursement process. Whenever I have questions, I simply ask, "Can Lexi give me a call?" She is always patient, explains everything clearly, and helps me understand my insurance coverage and what I can expect from the reimbursement process. She also handles submitting claims on my behalf and is very accommodating when scheduling appointments around my work schedule. Overall, I love this dental practice and have no complaints. Dr. Davidson and her entire team provide exceptional care, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a welcoming, professional, and compassionate dental office. read more

I was a patient at Walnut Creek Dental Studio for about three years. My care was routine, and my experiences were generally positive--I even referred several friends. My only prior complaint was that their billing and reimbursement process was cumbersome and inconvenient. For the first time in three years, I needed to cancel an appointment because of a family emergency. I was told I would be charged a $70 cancellation fee. I asked whether they could make an exception, but they declined, explaining that the policy was included in the paperwork I had signed when I became a patient three years earlier, which I don't remember. Rather than cancel, I rearranged everything and made it to the appointment. A month later, I received a letter stating that the practice would no longer provide me with dental care because we had been "unable to reach a mutual understanding regarding our appointment policies and related fees." That decision is what I find most concerning. This wasn't a pattern of missed appointments or repeated conflicts--it was a single attempted cancellation due to a family emergency, and I ultimately kept the appointment anyway. Healthcare isn't like most businesses. Providers have a responsibility to care for patients over time, and continuity of care matters. Healthcare providers are entrusted with more than delivering a service--they're entrusted with patients' health. That's why dismissing an established patient over a single attempted cancellation due to a family emergency felt so disproportionate to me. It suggested that enforcing policy took precedence over preserving the patient relationship and patient health. If you're considering this practice, just be aware that their appointment policies appear to leave very little room for exceptional circumstances. read more

I can't say enough about how much I enjoy my visits to Walnut Creek Dental Studio! First and foremost the staff are all professional, skilled, friendly, and did I mention all female? This is where you want to go for your dental needs if you want a warm welcoming environment, a dedicated care team, and just an overall positive experience! Thankfully I was clearly communicated with as far as billing, insurance, and my care plan because the world of dental care can be so confusing and misleading without all of the proper information. Asking the question and getting the answers I needed built my trust right away and then all of my treatments have been handled by a skilled dentist who makes me feel confident in her work and knowledge. I will definitely be returning to this dental office for anything I need in the future! read more

Though I am still facing a large increase in the amount paid vs the initial estimate provided, I have now learned that Delta Dental is the real issue. Lexie has helped me better understand the problems with Delta Dental and has suggested approaches to appeal the coverage denial. I appreciate their help to overturn the coverage denial from Delta Dental. read more

Tried to schedule an appointment because a crown she put on is popping off hasn't even been that long since it was done and they conveniently felt it was right to terminate me as a patient steer clear. They also said I had an outstanding balance of around $100 and when I asked for the EOB the receptionist gave attitude so I called my insurance and they said it was because the office coded incorrectly as well as added on fees/costs that didn't makes sense. Good riddance. read more

I love this office! They are so kind and caring. They put the patients needs first and explain so well what is going to happen at my appointments. The warmth felt when you walk in the door is unmatched! read more

Dr. Davidson and her staff are amazing! Not only are they incredibly good at what they do but their equipment and technology are modern so things like fillings, e-rays and cleanings are faster and almost painless. I've had a lot of dental work in the past, so I know. Even my teenagers don't complain about their cleanings, which is big. Totally, today recommend this business! read more

I just dealt with the most unpleasant customer service at this office. I had a scheduled appointment for today at 11 am, which I made through their website and confirmed on the phone the day I made it. They had sent another message to confirm the appointment to which I responded with a "C" but it didn't get delivered. I would think if it's a scheduled appointment, they would honor it. Instead, when I showed up to the office, they told me that they gave my spot away because I didn't "call back". I'm a working mom and can't always call back to confirm appointments. That doesn't mean you give my spot away. I work as a nurse practitioner and sometimes patients don't call back to confirm appointments but we still honor their appointments. This was very unprofessional and the front staff was rude and arrogant. read more

Overall, this office is too busy for new patients. A word of caution for all potential new patients: unlike industry best-practice, they do not schedule new patient appointment with cleaning. So if you have a busy schedule, forget about it; you are just a number. The person would call on a moment's notice to see if you can show up at random times within the same day or the next day. Do they value the patient's time? Frankly, the office is ran poorly and the doctors do not want to hear anything constructively. The message was, 'I'm too busy. If it's not you, it's someone else's money that is coming our way.' Walked out of here: the pursuit continues for a dentist that is mutually appreciated: dentist care and prioritize patients' care and overall the business. Not just the latter... read more

I love how small and personal this place is and has such a a cute Aesthetic. Her assistant was so sweet and gave me an absolutely amazing cleaning. The doctor was knowledgeable and charming. Everyone was great I would highly recommend! From the receptionist receiving us to all the staff.

We had realized that this practice was going seriously downhill shortly after Dr. Loder handed it over to Dr. Davidson. She immediately started a battle cry of pretty in the mouth is what I like""and that just doesn't work for older patients. Most of us are looking for functionality, not "pretty." So I was due for a teeth cleaning last week and I had to cancel the appointment at the last minute because I came down with a very serious stomach flu. Highly contagious. My husband got it as did the rest of our family and I was trying to prevent infecting the staff at Walnut Creek Dental Studio. When I called into cancel I received a 10 minute lecture on being responsible and how there was an $80 charge for late cancellations. I pointed out it was due to severe illness but basically shrugged my shoulders and said well, I don't want to come in and infect everyone... but that was the end of it. Got an email telling me I had to reschedule that appointment. Went online, rescheduled it. The automatic scheduling system did not take the appointment. Got another call from them telling me my insurance wasn't okay. I said well we have Medicare plus Medicare supplements and I took another lecture for needing Medicare as they do not take it. Obviously I asked about my supplement and it was an arduous process getting them to do the background work to determine I actually do have coverage. Scroll up to my appointment today and basically got yet another lecture. I pointed out I wasn't in the mood for another lecture from someone half my age and got more attitude than I was bargaining for. Look I get it. She wants a young pretty clientele, but she's rapidly alienated everybody who was only loyal to that practice due to Dr. Loder. I believe you can tell how bad a practice is when you go from a situation with Dr Loder where if you canceled an appointment there was a minimum 6 months wait to reschedule because he had an absolutely full schedule with loyal patients to this current situation where I canceled the appointment last week and had another appointment within two days. In addition, the waiting room was packed with older patients and as I sat down they all either said me too or I wish I had your guts so scroll forward to them clearing out the waiting room and them personally canceling my appointment because they don't like hearing honest feedback. Frankly, I was delighted to get out of there and I told them to cancel my husband's appointment next week as well. All I can say is if you're practical and you just need basic care and you really believe in human decency this is not the practice for you. read more

I have been going to Walnut Creek Dental Studio for over 2 years now and this has been undoubtedly the best experience I've ever had with a dental care provider! Everyone in this office goes above and beyond to make sure I'm receiving the care I need. Dr. Davidson is amazing. She really spends time to explain to me what my problems and options are. Her diagnostics are very accurate and the plans she puts together has been very effective; I've started seeing real results very early on in the process. Sophie also does a wonderful job in cleaning/deep cleaning. She's very patient and puts time and energy for every visit I have. I strongly recommend the team at Walnut Creek Dental Studio!! read more

STAY AWAY! The dentist gave me the wrong diagnosis, (almost) making me to take out most of my tooth and put a new crown. This would have been costly, painful and time consuming. I went to another dentist who took time to explain and told me that it wasn't necessary and we simply need to monitor the tooth. Additionally, the staff at the reception is rude! I was 15 minutes late and called them. They told me no worries but when I got there they gave my appointment to someone else. They were not flexible and talked to me in a condescending tone "unfortunately its not possible...." Then, she told me the next available appointment is in a month, when the doctor told me there have free time the week after. It seems like she was purposefully unpleasant and taking pleasure in other people's misery. I will never ever go back and hope they will educate their staff on quality of service. read more

Been coming here for a little over a year, Dr. Davidson and her staff are fantastic. The assistants at the desk are always very knowledgeable and on top of everything. The dentist used to be kind of a stressful place for me but I was put at ease with my first visit here and I kind of enjoy coming now. I also love to support a business that is woman owned and operated :) Thanks Dr. Davidson & staff, you are all awesome! read more

Umm, love, love, LOVE my new dentist! I just moved to Walnut Creek and needed to find a new dentist relatively quickly, as I had not been to the dentist for a cleaning in a little over a year (I know, bad, but COVID is an excuse, right?). I went based off Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed! First of all, it is super easy to book an appointment online. I was surprised and pleased with how quickly I got an appointment! Their online "new patient" forms are super straightforward and easy to get done. When I came in for my cleaning, I was taken in by Lala, who is such a rockstar and honestly feels like your best friend from the start. She is fun to talk with and makes sure you have everything you need to be totally comfortable. Dr. Davidson is incredibly brilliant and has an excellent bedside manner. She has a great ability to tell you what you is going on in your mouth without sugarcoating it, but also without inducing too much anxiety (dental stuff can be scary if you're a worry-wart like me!). She takes the time to explain everything to you and answer your questions. Dr. Davidson immediately spotted two cavities, one of which had been marinating for a couple of years! Gross! She also alerted me to some inflammation going on and told me exactly what I need to do to address this. She came up with a treatment plan that made me breathe a sigh of relief. Renee was my dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth. I was super impressed with her level of knowledge and all the tips she had for brushing and flossing. Brenda at the front desk is really warm and helped me understand my insurance plan a lot better. I was able to get in right away again to have those gnarly cavities addressed. The pain was very minimal and I was out of there in under two hours. Dr. Davidson again gave me realistic advice to prepare me for any potential complications, like a root canal, even if unlikely. She spent time to tell me what I should and shouldn't be concerned about. I can't say enough good things about this dental studio and their team. Amazing staff, amazing doctor, and oh - I almost forgot - check out the view from the chair in my photo! The whole studio gives you a sense of calm. Thank you so much to Dr. Davidson and team at Walnut Creek Dental Studio, I will be referring anyone I can to you! read more

Walnut Creek Dental Studio - View of nature! Lots of squirrels. Heh heh. - General Dentistry Near Me - Walnut Creek, California

Just had my very first visit with Dr. Davidson and couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Coming off of the pandemic, it was my first cleaning in over a year. Dr. Davidson and her experienced team were extremely friendly, caring, and professional, and immediately put me at ease. They were thorough, yet gentle through the x-rays, cleaning and exam. Dr. Davidson is clearly an expert at her craft, and took time to explain what was happening and answer all my questions. We created a plan together which I'm confident I can follow! I'm so glad I found her and her great team. Highly recommend her to anyone in search of a new dentist! read more

I knew that whoever Dr. Loder chose to succeed him in his practice would be a terrific dentist, but I'm so grateful it ended up being Dr. Sara Davidson. She's an absolutely stellar practitioner, and she leads a terrific team. The facility has been redesigned and updated, and features the absolute cutting edge in dental technology. We've got the whole family, including the young children, transferred to Dr. Davidson. I usually try to avoid the phrase, "Couldn't recommend highly enough," but it certainly applies here. If you're not a patient yet, you should get in quick before their practice fills up. read more

I truly cannot believe how wonderful this dental office is ! I had chipped my tooth over the weekend, and in a panic I called this office to see if they offered any emergency dental care. I have been a dental patient in this office since 2003, and I believe that when you find a dentis you can trust, it is like being married, you simply want to keep your dentis for ever. The dental assistant I saw (Lala) was very sweet, friendly and helped me feel relax. Dr. Sara is friendly, very professional and knowledgeable. The office staff here are rude and unprofessional. We got a message from their automated messaging service that there was a last minute cancellation and asked if we would like that appt for the next day and we said sure. Their automated messaging texted us a follow up confirmation with the date and time. Well that time was not the same as the original message, but since this was a follow-up text confirmation, went with that time. My husband showed up at the later time, but was still 30 min early, and the staff said he was late and that they couldn't fit him in. They proceeded to give us a lecture on how it was our fault. We showed the texts to prove we showed up on time. Instead of trying to fix the solution and be professional, the staff were rude and blamed it on us that it was our fault, instead of their scheduling system. After going back and forth, they said my husband couldn't have a cleaning, but could have X-rays only. Poor customer service and clearly no regard for patients. There are many dentists to choose from, so won't be coming back here. read more

Thank you Dr Loder for finding Sarah Davidson to take over your practice. You cared enough about your loyal patients to find the right person to care for us. Dr. Sara Davidson is spectacular. She was my first dentist in the Bay Area, she made me feel comfortable in the chair while explaining to me what was happening in my mouth and why. I recently moved from San Francisco to Walnut Creek and I'm so glad I found myself a great dentist. Dr. Davidson is very competent, detailed and she cares about her patients a lot. The front desk lady Maria is also very responsible and organized. I got the fillings done for five teeth and unfortunately our insurance didn't cover any of that due to some timing issue. Dr. Davidson personally wrote a narrative to our insurance company to explain my situation as soon as the my issue was brought to attention. Couple weeks later, I got a call from the dental office telling me the insurance company was able to cover a big part of my payment and the office already processed my refund on the same day. That's really great team communication/work there and I appreciated tons! All the staff members in the office are very friendly and I loved being surrounded by nature while getting my teeth fixed! read more

I've been seeing Dr. Davidson for 3 years now and I have followed her from San Francisco to her new practice in Walnut Creek. She told me she believes in "painless dentistry" and I wasn't sure what she meant until she gave me a painless Novocaine injection. I am so happy with the switch. Well, having been a very long time patient of Dr. Loder, was sorry and happy for him when he retired. I don't care who the owner is just that you have a good dentist and great staff and that's what I have gotten so far at Walnut Creek Dental Studio. Very business like but hey! it's 2022! After a great cleaning and an issue with future appointments, my hygienist sorry forgot her name) took the time to take me to the front office staff who took the time to see what they could do to make it best with insurance. Upgraded facility and technologies and waiting to see the new waiting area that made entry a little cumbersome with this virus thing! One star off for the burdensome pre-appointment separate online service that give pages of check box pages with no "no changes to my medical situation" or what ever. OK the first Covid page every time. The last financial responsibility page, I already did that and that is all you need not every appointment. So page two with 57 individual yes/no boxes and third with a bunch more add a box on top "no changes" and I am still not pregnant! Dr. Davidson seems to have a well running ship here so although it is a long drive for me, look forward to be one of the passengers. read more
