Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. I went today for the sunrise and the views and cleanliness were great. Beautiful kept boardwalk and plenty of seating including at least two pavilions. The bathrooms were open when I checked at 6:30a and I was grateful.

One of the best Milford residents beaches. Resident sticker required. Nice and clean. Bathroom facilities.

Not sure if I came out of season but I did not see one goddamn walnut! Really, extremely, amazingly, astoundingly rocky and shell strewn beach. BRING SANDALS AND/OR FILP FLOPS! I subjected my poor, defenseless tootsies to some serious torture. Having said that its a fantastically fun beach with a great raised boardwalk for fun.

A sea of tranquility in the heart of Connecticut. Located on the Long Island sound, this peaceful beachfront area offers a haven for sun bathers, beach volleyball junkies, walkers or bikers (long wooden boardwalk). If you walk the beach area, watch out for oyster shells. There are many many many.... Maybe you want to do a little light fishing off the pier? Perhaps a kayak? There aren't many limits here. There is a fee for parking, but on the street is free 2-hour parking and there is typically plenty except for summer weekends and holidays. Whether you want a morning walk or quiet outing on the water, this is a great starting point. It is only a couple of miles off of Route 1.

This is a beautiful beach! Me and my son absolutely loved it and had a great time. It's clean, and in a nice area and parking was very close. We got there early enough and didn't have to pay to park next to the beach. Some other reviews said they had to pay however. And after we got there around 9:06 we saw someone at the stand where you pull in collecting money. There were lots of joggers and me and my son got to pickup a pretty nice sea shell. The Pier here was BEAUTIFUL! My first time on one. My son and I saw a father and son out there fishing. This was an awesome beach to visit.

Walnut beach is a cute little beach in Milford Ct. There is a nice boardwalk to go running or walking alongside the beach which leads to a food truck, parking, and local shops and restaurants nearby. The cost of entry is $15 Per car for non Milford residents Memorial Day through Labor Day. My greatest takeaways from this beach are simple: * The location is great thanks to local restaurants and shops like scoot and paddle that offer kayak and SUP rentals * On a calm day, the water can be surprisingly clean and clear. * The beach isn't as well kept as other parks like Hammonasset beach. While the board walk is nice there is often trash, a lot of rocks and straw. * The beach is fairly narrow but there is still a seemingly designated area to play Volleyball * There are no outdoor showers * Lifeguards are available * Water shoes are highly suggested for kids or even adults due to debris

This was a nice beach with plenty of parking and space to lie down. Although, some obnoxious kids came to play frisbee a bit too close to us, besides this it was a very enjoyable day. The view was beautiful but lots of rocks by the water so be careful. Also no CLEAN, accessible bathrooms nearby. Had to drive to a gas station about a mile away .

We have only been here each time after 4 pm, and found no problems parking and were not charged a fee. I think for the facilities it provides, it's a great place to get to the beach given how ridiculous in comparison prices are for entry to the Jennings beach in Fairfield county and such! So I highly recommend!

This could be a review for Walnut or Silver Sands as one merge into the other, I chose to write under Walnut as I enter the stretch of the beach from there. As I am getting ready to leave this place I am already feeling nostalgic about the beach. I don't think there will be much useful info here, I just had to write down the feelings that this place invokes.. I got to know this beach during the onset of spring. Chilly breeze and freezing water kept people away from the beach though the boardwalk that stretches from Walnut to Silver Sands bustled with joggers and walkers. Some areas of the beach was closed off as birds nesting place..then came the spring flowers. Summer brought in the crowd and rows of cars parked off street (plenty of parking around). I have avoided the beach when its crowded, living right across the street let me take a stroll at ungodly hours and see the different moods of the sea, so like me...I have been there in the calm, the rough, the low tide and high, with the dark blanket of cloud looming over, bright blue skies, the painted skies at dusk, the wet sand after the rain, the golden sands reflecting the evening light, the July4th fireworks lighting up the skies. The various smell ..salty, of fresh oysters, of spring flowers..Sometimes the lighting in the late evening is so perfect that Ive driven straight to the beach from work, taken off my stilettos and walked bare foot on the warm sand in my office wear. I've transitioned from one phase of my life to another right here, picking up pieces of my broken heart along with the smooth washed over stones..feeling warmth and comfort While I look forward to my move to the City brimming with the sea of people, this beach will always remain close to my heart. Ive put some pictures (some taken at Silver Sands, again one is the extension of the other)

Love this walk, great for relaxing and unwinding. I park on the street around Walnut Beach if available but for $5 you can park in the parking lot and be closer to the beach. The boardwalk is beautiful and the people are always friendly there.

Cold, but a really picturesque place. I had never been to Milford before, but I might have had I know about this lovely spot.

Very nice beach and atmosphere, with the Coronvirus only residents are allowed. Safety first

Nice, clean beach tucked away in Milford. It was easy to find parking this time of year and you can't beat the sound of the ocean...

So pretty and peaceful. Sat on the beach with a book and i didn't even feel like I was in Milford. Definitely better than Silver Sands!

For a Hartford beach this is great. This is probably the best in CT. Nice walk to the Charles island when it was low tide
