The Walmart Supercentre at Islington and Rexdale is a decent, middle-of-the-road option for basic household necessities. The store features a standard selection of groceries, electronics, and clothing, making it a convenient one-stop shop for quick errands. However, the experience is frequently hindered by long checkout lines and understaffed registers during peak hours. Stock availability can also be hit-or-miss, with popular items occasionally cleared off the shelves. While the prices remain predictably budget-friendly, the messy aisles and minimal customer service mean it is best suited for quick, independent runs rather than an enjoyable shopping trip read more

Came here to look for something, when I couldn't find it, I see this young Indian walking really fast as if he's trying to avoid customers. I ask him if they have it and where, he just shrugs his shoulders and with I don't know and barges off. This is despicable customer service and absolutely disgusting that this store and company would not train people to assist customers. Some of these Indian staff act like we're inconveniencing them and have ZERO customer service or manners. To this store and company, fix it or only hire staff that will not further lower your image. Also, don't be surprised if your store/company begins losing business as a result of this. They never smile, say thanks, say hello, or have a good day. You have taken a serious downturn in your standards. Not like how this store used to be. All this for cheap labour only read more

Pros: Really big store, lots of free parking spaces, and some decent helpful staffs. Cons: I wish they would restock as often. I'm a lover of bacon and yogurt and they barely had any of those items restocked. Just about 4-5 bacon package on the fridge shelf. I would also wished they were up to date with their price tags because I noticed some things like lobsters and some other seafood didn't have a price tag on them. I would come back here again if I am around the area read more

My first time in Walmart in Canada, and I am not impressed. First you have to walk through a security gate to enter. The store is very small, and there is know one to help you in sight. Also, the lines are extremely long and the cashiers move extremely slow.!!! I think I should have just went to another store. This particular store did not have one Toronto Raptors merchandise in sight. The only reason I gave this store two stars is because they had a well stocked wine section, and a really nice guy give out a samples WoW read more

This by far is the worst Walmart I have ever been to and do not recommend it. We were visiting Toronto and I wanted to stock our hotel room kitchen with beverages, snacks, and the fixings for home cooked meals for myself and my family. We found that this was the closest Walmart in the area that we were in at the time. You have to put a quarter in the cart like you are at Aldi. The parking lot and outside of the store was dirty in appearance. When we got in we noticed the layout of the store reminded us of Dollar Tree or Big Lots and not Walmart. We were not impressed and we did not notice any rollbacks. I'm all for clearances and not wasting food, but I never seen Walmart ever take almost expired fruits and vegetables and other foods and bag them and make a clearance rack (this can be seen as good or maybe not so good-they could donate the food). The service in the store was very poor. We asked a worker to direct us to an item and he said I think it's over there and then said I'm not really sure where it is located and walked away from us. The store itself looked dirty and outdated looking and not bright. We opted to go through self checkout and at one point needed store clerk assistance. I asked a worker for help and he said hi and just stood at his post and didn't come to our register ( he left us until another worker came past and helped us). I do not recommend this Walmart and I should have walked out and not spent a cent there. I strongly suspect that this location is not practicing the Walmart mission. read more

This Walmart was kind of messier than what I'm used to. I live in the USA and our Walmart's are pretty organized .

Went to Walmart today and seen a mouse!! Yes a MOUSE! Me and my friend went to go tell someone and they looked at us and is like ok and didn't even seem to care... then we found a manager and told her that there is a mouse and we even said that we don't think it's sanitary because there's food and everything around and when there is one mouse it always comes in bundles of 3 and now it's in there and then they are going to breed and then it's going to be infested and none of them cared ! Well never going back there again read more

This Walmart has HORRIBLE customer service. I've gone several times to return a garment steamer but because of the Covid pandemic they keep delaying their return policy dates. As if that weren't enough, they NEVER answer their customer service calls. I've called MANY times so I can save a trip and avoid going for nothing and they pick up the phone just to hang up!! HORRIBLE SERVICE. This doesn't even deserve that one star rating. read more

It looks like a tornado pass all over the store, pretty bad experience :( Dirty, unorganized and many garbage in the flor. read more

Really quite awful. There is nothing that bothers me about a superstore/market more than disorganization. Every single aisle: hard to match a price (tag) to a product because the shelves are a MESS. If you want to waste your time matching products with the names of products all over the aisle, this is the place for you. The store is dirty. Too long lines. Unfriendly customer service. Even the aisles are a mess; can't you lump the cereal or ice cream or chips section in one area? Better just go across the lot to the Chinese supermarket, at least that is less disappointing. read more

Now that I can choose between local walmarts I like the one on st.Clair better. This place is always crowded even the express line can be a 15 minute wait. If you find a sales person please let me know as I've been looking for one for over a year now. Ps. Be careful in the parking lot here it's crazyy read more

While shopping, the employees' constant loud chatter about their personal lives was disgusting and disorienting. I didn't want to hear it. No one cares how your dates went; I can't even believe you ugly bitches got dates! Ewww. They also didn't move a big cart that was blocking shelves I was obviously wanting to look through. Ghetto! I hope they both get fired. Moving on... The store lacked most of the things we went in for, and had a really light selection overall. Although, the low price on Vicks VapoRub earned it another star. The store nearest our hotel charged $5 more. Now that's a big disparity in price -- you better shop around! read more

Made an account just to post a review about this Wal-Mart in particular. Store is a complete mess, everything is so discombobulate. Returns took forever because the indian lady at returns was spending 45 minutes with one customer and failed to address the huge line up of customers. I had no choice but to come at night and by the time the lady was done, it was store closing time. That's when I really snapped. read more

On Oct 22, 2021, I went into the Rexdale Walmart to buy (qty) 8 of the 6" Hometrends plates. There was just one on the shelf so I asked an employee if there were 7 more in back. Without even checking, they told me to go home and order the plates online. That was around 9:30am. I went home, placed my order online at 10:16am. At 10:27am, I received an email stating my order was ready for pickup. That means they were at the store the whole time and I could have saved myself a $5.00 "order handling fee". For the record, the nearest Walmart distribution centre is 47 minutes away but Walmart had the audacity to claim that the $5.00 order handling fee was justified because they CLAIM it was shipped from their distribution. So, somehow, a driver broke the sound barrier to get these plates from distribution to the store in 21 minute? I don't think so. Its beyond insulting the way I was treated when I asked why I was being charged this OHF when they were in store the whole time. I will never order online again. Also, I will drive as far as necessary to go anywhere else to avoid this Walmart at all costs. I don't promote unscrupulous, shady selling tactics meant to defraud people. The store is usually in disarray and if it weren't directly across the street from me, I never would have gone to this location. The aisles are almost always cluttered or blocked with skids of products. The employees are bitter and unhelpful. This is, quite possibly, the worst Walmart in Ontario. I would say drive the extra miles to go to a cleaner, more respectable store. This one lacks in all areas of customer service. Also, if they scammed me out of $$ (OHF), when they had stock available, how many other people are they doing this to? It's completely disgusting to treat people in such a shady manner. read more

This Walmart never answers the phone no matter what department you transfer to. Customer service, electronics, pharmacy. The phone will just ring and ring. And once after 25 rings Customer Service picked up and then hung up the phone immediately. Whoever is the GM of this location seriously needs to have a conversation with the incompetent employees in these departments. Answer the phone for once like are you not in the customer service industry? read more

This is the most unorganized Walmart I've ever been, even people that work here don't know where things are, it's also very dirty, with stuff thrown on the floor and quite some trash! read more

This Wal-Mart seriously needs to get re-evaulated, it seems like the corporate hasn't ever seen the mess that this location is going through, it is just a mess and like a jungle in there, totally crowded and seriously the worst customer service ever. I been to Wal-mart's elsewhere and it was way more better than this location, calling them is pointless as they hangup and don't care and they seriously hate having more customers come to this location. Everytime I come here it is always the same and never improves. read more

Horrible photos that I picked up. U pick matte and the come glossy. Waited for the maneger for 30 minutes to have some rude costumer service. Do not get your photos done at walmart!!!!! read more

One of the worst walmarts in Ontario (and anywhere else for that). Never more than 4 cashiers working including express lane. Very unfriendly staff. If you absolutely need to do shopping here, don't do it at night as everything gets much worse. Terrible, terrible staff and store is always a mess. I normally don't give poor reviews, but this store deserves it. It's time to gut this location and start again. Very disappointing. Also above comment about parking lot is completely accurate. Not sure where most of these people got their licenses, but it's very scary driving around read more

Literally waited half an hour in check out like. Just avoid this wal mart all together

Why do I try? This place is the worst. I came to get some bags of cat food and ended up waiting in line for over 40 minutes while a bunch of losers 4 people ahead of me proceeded to price match EVERY ITEM and then bolt after they didn't have enough money on their gift card. People are rude and discard their items everywhere. Someone in front of me sent her daughter back 3 times with 3 different bags of chips. THEY ARE CHIPS JUST BUY THEM SO I CAN GET OUT OF HERE. I actually bought a year supply of cat food just so I never have to return. Seriously, avoid avoid avoid. read more

This place is a nightmare. There lazy a one can be. I was just in there trying to buy a iPod case in the electronics department . I went to cash out and the teller was just siting there telling people he had no cash in the till we it was my turn he tried to tell me to move a long but I put up a fuss about it and what do you know he had a till full of money when he cashed me out. Lazy lazy that is not the first time I have seen this kinda of laziness at Walmart and it won't be my last read more

...been into a lot of wal-marts but this one seems almost the dumpiest of all. empty boxes and random trash everywhere, and tons of empty, unstocked shelves. we stopped in to grab neo citran and they didn't have not even one box of any kind. won't be coming back here anytime soon. read more

If I could give this Walmart zero stars I would. First of all it's very dirty, messy, and very disorganized. We wanted to buy 250 excersize books because they were on sale for 25 cents each, we thought it was perfect for our charity function we were holding for kids. We asked the sales team member if there is anymore on the back we can buy, he said he dosbt know there is no way for him to check and he wasn't about to check even he could anyways. We tried asking someone else she told us it's not her department she can't help us. Umm.. Why are you at work then? Just to put stuff back!! Seriously what kind of customer service is that. He then told us to go to customer service n ask them we did, the line was really long and only one cashier working. When we got there the lady told me that I can't buy that much because there is a limit of 12. I lost it and left. There was no notice on the end cap saying there is a limit and the sales team member guy didn't even tell us when we told him how may we wanted.. Soo never coming back to this Walmart again!!!! Horrible!! read more

good for buying foods but otherwise very cheap quality & awful customer service.......

I didn't have a problem looking for what I was looking for, but the line up is ridiculous.. There was so many cashiers open and not at the stations. They should do better with that, or hire more employees, I don't know. read more

I don't even want to give this place a star. The store is very dirty, the staff is very rude. If you ask for help they push you on to someone else. I tell everyone I know never to go there. Very small store. The staff doesn't clean like they should. Everyone seems very lazy read more
