Recently, I returned to this plaza to pick up an order at Penningtons. After recommending gel nail strips from Winners to the female staffer after she let me know that she loved my nails, it was a good idea to check out this Winners. This plaza is huge, so I drove over to this store. I parked steps away from the entrance and walked in. I had forgotten how huge this store was. I remember waiting for what felt like ages at the checkout when I last visited it. I was here on a Wednesday evening. It wasn't as crazy. I spent a lot of time looking at purses. There were many that I found interesting and cool. I found a Kipling crossbody in a cheerful cantaloupe colour. I already own this style in purple, so I didn't need another one. If I did, I would have bought it. Sure enough, I did not steer the woman at Penningtons wrong. I found a few gel nail strips that were waiting for her to snatch up. The shoe section is impressive. There were many pairs of footwear for my size 11 feet, from sandals, to sneakers. I saw men's shoe sizes go up to 14 at this store. It was impressive. The drinkware section is also decent. You can get tiki and pineapple mugs to conjure tropical vibes. I was thrilled to see a good selection of travel tumblers. The athleisure wear section was also cool. I liked the Adidas tops in cheerful colours, such as lime and pink. There were also lightweight track pants and shorts that looked stylish and comfy. This store has a small plushies section. I did see Hello Kitty and a couple of Squishmallows while I was there. It's a small, but mighty section. I was briefly waiting in the lineup before I approached a cheerful cashier. I had my TJX Style + cards scanned, followed by paying for my items with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I thanked the woman and left. It was nice returning to this Winners. The location helps as its a stone's throw from moi which makes it an easy spot to visit if you want to grab something last min as gift etc. However this store is more of a mid sized version for this stores. The high $ designer wear that shows up during the TIFF was noticeably absent. Selection is not better by much from the location nearby. Hmm I pretty much went through the entire store in less than an hour. I would signup for their loyalty card to get the extended return period for free plus perks.

It's in the far corner of the plaza off the northeast corner of Weston Rd and Hwy 7. It does have ample parking. I've made use of it both as a shopper, and a donater. It serves its purpose, usually. I can't speak to how large it is compared to other locations, but it is about as large as an average Costco, and looks like one. It's a pretty bare bones warehouse full of all kinds of housewares, clothing, books, seasonal items, and even watches and jewellery. I've made a few successful trips over the years. The selection of kitchen wares, clothing, and books in particular have been very good finds. I've managed to find cooking implements for extremely low prices, many of them long ago, which I still use to this day. The clothing seems a little more costly, but still good bargains. Browsing the aisles reminds me a lot of shopping at Winners, but not as bright and shiny. But the racks and racks of clothes are arranged and of such an array as reminds me of a Winners experience, where you need to dig amongst all the odds and ends. When it comes to Christmas and Halloween, you can score a lot of great finds at bargain prices, including brand new items such as wigs and kids' costumes. I've heard a lot of negative press lately about Value Village jacking up prices on new, resale items from dollar stores. I haven't yet experienced this myself, but I will certainly keep my eye out on my next trip. Check the bottoms of items for original stickers that will tell you whether overcharging. All in all, I've been glad to have successful trips, and will certainly return when I'm up for my next thrift haul.

They have an amazing selection of authentic '70s pieces, and unlike many vintage stores, the prices are actually very fair. Everything felt carefully chosen rather than just packed with random items. Winners is a large department store with brand name products at very decent prices…read more It's part of parent TJX Companies holding that also includes Marshalls & HomeSense so you might notice some similarities in how all these stores is layed out. Winners stores have brand name clothing, footwear, bedding, furniture, fine jewellery, beauty products, and housewares. The consumer target market is drop-in customers as you can't shop on-line (...which is currently the case). On any given week they can stock a product you may never see stocked again. Other Winners stores may not have the same product on hand. If you like it, then I suggest you buy as you can always return it if you change your mind. Staff are helpful and checkouts are fairly quick.
