My appointment was booked for 12:30 p.m. I arrived before my scheduled time and asked how long the service would take. I was told approximately 1.5 hours. The guy named Doug who booked me in was fully aware that I had to be at work by 3:00 p.m. and assured me that the vehicle should be ready by 2:30 p.m. at the latest. Based on that information, I decided to keep the appointment. As 3:00 p.m. approached, I checked in again to ask about the status of my vehicle. Another employee informed me that there was still a car on the hoist ahead of mine and that they would let me know when it was my car's turn. Around 3:20 p.m., I noticed my vehicle was still sitting untouched in the corner of the service bay. After waiting nearly three hours without any work being started on my vehicle, I decided to take my car back and leave because I was already late for work. I understand that delays can happen, but what frustrated me most was the lack of communication and the fact that I was given unrealistic expectations about the wait time. Had I been told there would be a significant delay, I could have made other arrangements. Unfortunately, this experience wasted a large part of my day, and I would not choose Canadian Tire Auto Service again.

It's very difficult to get service, the staff do not know which aisles products are located on. The photo dept. is frequently closed and the produce is frequently either under or over ripe. I have not had pleasant service at Customer Service and when I call for assistance I am put on hold for extended periods of time without my permission. The staff doesn't seem happy and courteous and it's difficult to get a smile from anyone other than the greeter. I have compared prices and they seem fair enough especially for make-up, canned/jarred items and cleaning supplies. I have purchased electronics from them in the past instead of going into Calgary but their return policy on electronics is very limited.
