Horrible!! I spend hundreds of dollars at the stupid store yet when I come here there's one cashier 50 self checkout lanes, and all of them are closed, except for one. The line might I add is 25 people long, and it goes all the way into the deli, I watched three people use the one and only self checkout register that's open and think I only have four things I'll go through there instead of waiting in line for the people that are in front of me with a full cart. I start to ring up my items and the kids that was at the register ringing people up comes over and starts yelling at me that I can't use the self check out. I told him I just watched three people use it and he said well they weren't supposed to so if you knew they weren't supposed to why are you targeting me I felt attacked and I will never come here again. I hate the store don't come to the store, I'd rather drive an hour to the Tri-Cities and go to the Walmart over there or at least they're nice and have a lot of check out lanes. Seriously...not senior friendly. There are 20 pick up and go spaces where there used to be some handicap spaces. There are now only 10 handicap spaces sort of near the grocery part of the store. They are always full when I'm there and I am forced to usually walk quite a ways as the parking lot is usually full too. This is ridiculous. These 20 pick up and go spaces are usually empty! After reading some of the poor reviews I'm not sure I want to be shopping there anyway. read more

This is one of the worst Walmarts I've ever been to and I've been to a lot of Walmarts. The selection on most things is very low compared to the selection of other Walmarts. There is another Walmart in Yakima that's newer and it is night and day difference between the two. Much better selection on guys clothes, watches, shoes, Sporting Goods Hardware Etc. The store is always a mess especially in the clothes section. They are always super busy but I've never seen more than three check stands open. read more

What can I say about Walmart? It seems to me that most people seem to look down upon the store, yet I feel totally satisfied with what I receive each time I walk in. My expectations are not of the highest in the quality product but of a good value for my money and that is exactly what I seem to receive from Walmart. This location is no exception however it does seem to be in a part of town where things seem to get a little bit more sketchy. There is even a mobile surveillance systems sitting in the middle of the parking lot with cameras pointed everywhere I'm assuming to watch for crime and or to prevent it. Come to think of it there's cameras everywhere which is fine. The self-service kiosk has at least two on them that watch you as you ring up your transactions, And there are more all-around you in the checkout areas. I wanted around just browsing looking for things for gifts for friends and the only thing that really caught my eye was the elf outfits for women. My wife wants to have a bunch of friends over to watch the movie elf, I couldn't help but think that this would make fun attire during the party. I am always impressed that you get what you receive and at Walmart with a simple smile it seems every employee check out person and greeter returns a smile and says hello with a smile in their voice. read more

Michael in the Mobile Center went above and beyond to help me get the exact camera I was looking for and even price matched it for me to get me the best deal. I typically only order online, but after this experience I highly recommend and will be back to the mobile center at this location for future tech needs. read more

Worst managed store ever! I've been to Walmart's all over the western US and I'm sure this is the worst for never having enough help. You have to jockey your own basket from the parking lot because there's never any in the store. The money services department is hardly ever open so that means you have to stand in line for a half hour or better to do a money transfer at customer service. Spend a half hour to do my grocery shopping then spend another half hour waiting in line for a cashier. Oh, self checkout? Sorry, if I wanted to be a cashier I would work here. Just ring everything up and I'll give you money. I have better things to do. Need help in a specific department? Wait another 20 minutes. Maybe someone will show up. I was looking at the wax scents in their candle section and held some wax scents against my chest I just got off the shelf because I couldn't decide which one I want. I smelt some others my wife and child were showing me and I put the scents in my arms in the cart and my wife says "WHAT THE H*LL IS THAT ON YOUR SHIRT!?". This place is kind of the epitomy of what most people think of when they think of Walmart. Don't get me wrong, the people that are working here are all very nice and do a great job with customer service given what they're working with. The folks that shopping here are most definitely on peopleofwalmart.com and made for quite a nice afternoon of people watching! The food choices were average overall, but the Gatorade and Doritos selection was epic! It was basically straight out of idiocracy. Extra star for the immaculately kept clearance aisle that had things organized by price - from $1 to $15 just so you know! They also had a nail salon, optometrist and a McDonalds up front. Good place to grab cheap food staples and do some people watching. Better to travel down to the "other" Walmart if you're looking for a less authentic (read: stereotypical) experience. read more

Ehh.... well you just never know what to expect from a Walmart. Each location has its own set of quirks and differences. I dont even live in the Yakima area. I was on a trip to see family and had to stop in to buy a car charger for my phone. Due to covid 19 when I got there it was confusing which door to go in. When I went in the wrong door I was asked if I work there? I said "no" and apologized. Seemed rude but partly just confusing. When I entered the store I couldn't help but notice that the store seemed a bit dingy, more so than other Walmart. Sorry just being honest haha. As for the customer service I received i can say that it wasn't the greatest but my mission was to get in and get out anyways. I never had to ask about where to find the item I needed. The cashier was the only real employee interaction that I had. She definitely didn't seem like she wanted to be there but then again who would? When I walked back out of the store another embarrassing interaction happened with an employee. Guess I was going out a wrong door again which just confused me. Covid 19 has made things tricky for stores, i can definirely understand that. But the set up of this Walmart was a bit odd. Just saying. read more

I an my Dad Started going to this Walmart the same day it first opened. At that time everything was priced reasonably an the employees were nice an helpful. But over the years their prices have gotten outrageous an their customer service has gotten really bad. To give you an example I use to buy Old Roy Chicken an Rice dog food there for $19.99 for a 50lb. bag an the 46lb. bag for $16.99 now both are $47.00 a bag which is ridicules price for the cheapest dogfood that they have also their chicken feed is $19.94 for a 40lb. Bag. I have also witnessed that their Store Manager an assistant manager at night when new shipments come in of Merchandise that after the trucks that deliver to the store leave they start loading their vehicles as well as other family members vehicles with the merchandise from the trucks that just delivered an on top of that the start using these weird looking fork lifts to bring pallets of merchandise from the storage area of the store an started putting that stuff into their vehicles which is why everytime someone wants to buy any bags of dogfood or kitchen or electronics an is told that they are sold out is because of the Manager stealing from the company an store.I hope who ever owns this company will start looking into all of this because it is not shoplifters stealing the company blind it is their own managers doing it. If I could give this place no stars I would. This place is very racist. I'm an African American woman and I felt I was being watched by what I believe was a female manager. I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Not to mention the store barely has anything in stock. I went to the chip aisle and it was bare. Nothing on the shelves. I asked an associate if there was anything in the back and she rolled her eyes and said "I'll check" but she came back way too fast to even know if there was anything in the back. After MONTHS of playing Walmart's release game for the X Box Series X, I finally won! They took forever to ship it! And when they did, they went with a second-rate shipping company... Can I give less stars?? Shelves were a mess and shelf tags misleading compared to product. My cashier had some murky, unclear lIquid all over her checkstand. When I pointed it out, she merely "wiped" the liquid with her plastic-gloved hand!! Barely a greeting. Let me preface this with the fact that I am almost a 60 year-old woman. I purchased and loaded 15 bags of mulch into my vehicle Sunday. As I am driving out of the secure enclosure, the person that checked me out comes running out to my vehicle stating that, her "manager wanted to check to make sure I had the right number of bags." I was polite to her, but if her "manager" wanted to ensure I had the right product, he/she might have come out themselves and helped me load it instead of watching from afar. I definitely prefer the nob hill Walmart location over all. This location to what I understand has been in Yakima for 20 years or so. Not great cliental. Staff is disturbing & lacks professionalism. My standards are lower than a regular grocery store but I still expect somewhat of an effort by employees, here there is zero effort by many. Nikki is the rudest unfriendly cashier I have ever met. I pray she gets better training someday. They put items under wrong pricing and then you tell them it was on a shelf at a lower price they just stare at you like your a liar or a jerk. Not cool!
