About what you'd expect from a Walmart. Did I mention it's in North Dakota? This place is a promise land. Open LONG hours. LARGE parking lot. A one stop shop. It can't be cheap to bring materials up here so I am glad this spot exists. Maybe a few cents more than a nearby Walmart back home but it's nothing to break the bank. Store is clean. Well stocked and has a Subway/deli. Employees are friendly and the lines to checkout are short. Even has a nearby or adjacent liquor store with an impressive selection. Guess that's ND state law to have the alcohol separate. Otherwise clothes, food, furniture, all the Wally World essentials. Other things in town but if you're visiting for work or a short visit just stop here. Grab what you need and dip. If it's -30 out you don't want to be checking multiple stores when chances are Walmart will have it on your first visit. read more

Don't buy Mastercard Gift cards from here. A family member of mine purchased 2 gift cards for 100.00 each. That packaging did not look tampered with. However, upon opening the gift cards the last 4 digits of the card were scratched out along with the security number making them useless. Calling Mastercard has been difficult. We filed a claim but we're waiting. Tried calling Walmart but can't get a live person to tell them to pull them off the shelves so someone else doesn't go through the same thing we are! Just avoid any gift cards from Mastercard! I'd also like to add that I have called multiple times, and I get a computer automated number system. I've hit just about every department and it just rings and rings. I've never been able to speak to a live person to tell them to pull these items off their shelves. walmart super center in Williston , North Dakota. Shopped there today, June 2, 2024. I have been to walmarts in nine different states, probably 30 stores in the last twenty-five years. Today i was so pleasantly impressed with the store in Williston. The amount of and variety of product were good, but the assicocistes working there were phenomenal. i had not been there but once before so i didn't know the layout. i spoke with seven associates in the produce, cheese, dairy, frozen food, baby, and cosmetics departments. Each person was working hard yet each one took his or her time to show me things or tell me of the locations of each. They were all cheerful, courteous and so helpful. i think my checker's name was Lauren and she was great. Thank you Willistonn Walmart Employees for being so wonderful to me today read more

I made a 9 am appointment to have my car worked on. Showed up 15 minutes early, shopped until 10:05. Checked on my car & they said there were 3 people in front of me waiting. What kind of crap is this? Why even have people make appointments if they don't matter? Not happy!!!! read more

Crappy employees and even worse management. This Walmart is almost always a mess and I don't trust buying bread here after I found a ton of mold on a product. I've included pictures. Yes, that was really on the shelf. This place is a joke. I shop at cashwise now, instead. read more

This store and I hate to say it looked like it was robbed. Every department was either in disarray, unstocked, freight on the floor, grocery department was just ridiculous. It's like nobody cares. The cashier staff are super friendly. No photos because it's just that sad. read more

Ive been to this Walmart 4 times now, I'm different days at different times of the day etc. I've never been to such a poorly managed grocery store. Ever. Today though was over the top, I called an hour prior to driving there to ensure they had my order ( ordered tires off Walmart.com ) and to make sure they could get me in prior to closing the dept. @ 9pm. It was around 430pm when I called so I drove that way and upon arriving no one could help, there was a line of 8 people or so, and the lady tried to tell me they don't take service orders after 4pm..? Argued for a bit and she said they should be able to get me in right away as they have no pending orders to finish? Overall very very dissatisfied with my experience here at this Walmart thus far. read more

The store itself is pretty clean and well stocked. The deli people are nice and helpful but the food is terrible. It looks good, then you take a bite and its probably the worst food I have ever gotten at a deli. The lines are long but enough people try to utilize the self checkouts. They're well maintained and they have someone over the area so you dont have to wait long for help. Selection is good. The jewelry department doesn't have much of a selection. The bathrooms are well maintained. read more

If I could get zero stars I would. My experiences have only dwindled every time I shop at this establishment, from workers who are incompetent at their jobs/don't speak english well enough to help me, to being accused of moving an item to the clearance rack to get savings (I found a whole lot of slacks on Clearance, one of the workers even admitted to me that she would totally dump things onto the clearance rack when she was ready to go home and didn't feel like figuring out where everything went), to having workers harass me for my contact information. I can't shop here in peace. Their pet fish department is absolutely disgusting, the guy who came over to help me even laughed when I pointed out the dead one floating in a murky cup and was like "yup, he's dead." Another worker assured me that someone came by once a week to attend to the fish, as if that somehow erased all the rotting and diseased fish in their tanks. Disappointed and fed up - Albertsons and Cashwise for me from now on. read more

I have shopped at Walmart Stores in many different states but have to say that this store is the worst thus far. From being out of stock of many items to what amounts to price gouging on things folks need and buy every week, milk, eggs...etc... Just because this is North Dakota and an energy boom has seen fit to lift this dusty little town up economically, the business's here are looking to get rich on the backs of the hard working people who have traveled here to earn a living, not to mention the folks who already live here are getting hit just the same. I know they will say its just supply and demand, but when the boom ends I hope those that live here will remember who was fair and who was greedy. read more

We were at the store yesterday and I have to say the cashier was very rude not to us but to the customer ahead of us. The jest of the story the customer had gone on to the website for TV's he found the one he wanted --website verified is in store--went to department and the employee supervisor gave him the one that was from the website gets to checkout and it is $50.00 more than listed price--asked for manager and the cashier was extremely rude argued that was the price and told customer manager could not help--finally after about 5 minutes manager comes to tell the customer there was nothing she could do because it was the wrong model on website, of course he was not happy but purchased anyway. Next he asked for help out it was a 50 inch tv and obviously I would want help was told everyone was in the back they didn;t even try to call someone!!!!! Williston North Dakota Walmart staff shame on you obviously you could have handled this situation so much differently--We value our customers and would never treat someone this poorly by the way we are from Montana and it takes an hour drive there and back so was the customer whom this happened to he deserved better read more

So I was trying to buy a table in lawn and garden today. Got to the register to find out there was no bar code. So the gal called for a manager. (3 TIMES!!!) 30 mins later a manager showed up. She was totally lacking in customer service skills. Seem pissed off. She looked up the item and told the register person what department to ring it in under. Then the manager left. So I got my stuff when back to the register and the gal asked me to let everyone else go thru because it was going to take a while to ring in my 3 items because the one doesn't have a bar code. She said she needed the manager to finish the transaction. At this point we are at 45 mins to purchase ONE table!!! I said why did the manager leave if you needed her. This manager has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE skills. I said I will just pay for my 2 chairs. This is taking way too long....UPDATE So my daughter went back to Wal Mart and pulled the price sticker off the shelf and took the table up and purchased the table!!!! Why didn't the manager or cashier do this. This Wal Mart needs to give the manager some customer service training!! I have lived here for 4 years and this is the worst experience I have had!!! This is why I shop at Albertson's when I can because the lack of customer service at this location!! I would rather pay a bit higher prices then to have crappy customer service. read more

The worst one in the county!!! I swear they don't train their checkout clerks because I don't think I've made it out of there one time without incident in the checkout line. Yesterday, I had to help the sweet lady in front of me bc the 2 supervisors and clerk couldn't seem to explain that they had accidentally run her check for $100 less than she owed and she just needed to pay the remaining balance. They barely spoke to her and after being in line for 45 minutes (keep in mind there were only 3 people ahead of me when I entered the line) I helped explain to the lady that if she just gave them another check we could complete the transaction and she could be on her way. Stuff like this seems to happen all the time. I know they have had a rough go at things like not being able to keep employees and such due to the oil boom (and bust)....but there is no way it should be consistently terrible service.
