I went to buy vanilla candles for a Christmas table centerpiece and found this little witches caldron wax warmer. I bought a car battery from Walmart.com. I was instructed to take the old battery to the store to receive my core charge refund. Hank at the Auto counter and Kathy "lead" MoD at the customer service counter couldn't figure out how to do the core refund. After 20 min of walking the old heavy battery back and forth across the store, being ignored and being told, " The other department handles that." over and over again I just walked out. I left them the core and received $0 refund and horrible customer service. It is Walmart so you expect a certain amount of incompetence but that was just painful. The "lead" had a 20 years of service pin on her name badge but clearly she had 0 cares to give. I will still shop at this store as a Walmart is a Walmart is a Walmart, but I will lower my expectations and avoid their online business. read more

Gotta say, not usually a huge fan of the 'marts, but this store has been there for me and keeping things going despite the crazy times of 2020. The store associates are on top of their jobs and I'm happy to see, wearing their masks and wearing them properly (applaud!!). Walmart has had the least number of items needing substitution on our online orders, the produce is fresher than usual (idk?) and the prices aren't as high as their competition. Though I had missed feeling about Walmart before Covid, I find that their ongoing response to the crisis has resulted in a better feeling for me about shopping here. If you are shopping for exotic/international/lifestyle diets it might not be the best, but I do find a few healthy items (cauliflower crusts, nori snacks!) are in stock frequently. read more

4 Stars because I generally avoid this Walmart (Arizona Pavillons off of Cortaro Rd.) because this store frequently is out of stock of several items on my list... BUT today I was totally impressed by the excellent job / measures in place for instituting social distancing. Tape on floor to follow directions to enter store while staying 6 feet apart and in a single line and clearly posted written guidelines every 6 feet. Only one door open which controlled foot traffic - the other entrance / exit door for emergency exit only. Social distancing marks and reminders throughout the store. Employees thoroughly disinfecting carts - not just casually wiping and reusing wipe as I've seen done in other stores (KUDDOS TO THE STAFF OF THIS WALMART!!!). In the self checkout areas, an employee was thoroughly spraying down and wiping the entire self checkout area, screen, key pad etc very impressive and the next person in line could not use the checkout area until it was thoroughly cleaned! YEAH WALMART EMPLOYEES) Now if only people / shoppers would follow directions and abide with social distancing, not hoard, BE KIND!!! and THANKFUL my experience today would have been perfect... I saw some man coughing and spitting sputum in the parking lot and of course head into Walmart not following the posted directions and exposing everyone around him to whatever he was coughing up and spitting on the ground ....absolutely disgusting and inconsiderate anytime, but even more so during a pandemic... I wish those type of people could be banned from entering public places. Stay self! read more

I decided to not use the self checkout, so I waited in line. The checker kept looking at his smart watch and I began to wonder if he was going to close his station. He started to check me out and I realized he was trying to have a personal conversation on his watch. I asked him if I only had 2 bags and he apologized and gave me the third bag. He said he was trying to multi-task and I said no, you were distracted by a personal conversation and I told him that was not good customer service. I waited in line because I am tired of using self check....I DONT WORK THERE! But I do a much better job checking myself out than that young man!!! Please revisit your policy about employees being on personal phone calls. read more

Customer service is aweful, they sent me to the hunting department three separate times during a call in which the hunting department proceeded to hang up the call before I could even get a word out. They're automotive department is just as bad, having stood there for over two hours just to be told they don't have the parts I'm looking for, not to mention the store is always downright FILTHY! I would never recommend this place to even my worst of enemies. I would much rather just order from Amazon then ever deal with this sorry excuse for a Walmart location ever again. read more

I stopped by this store overnight to pick up lunch supplies for my daughter's first day back to school. When I entered the store, there were several employees in the vestibule. I began looking for my items, when a woman approached me and in a raised voice began asking, "Do you work here? Answer me. Do you work here?!" I was confused by her questioning and demeanor, and told her so. She told me the store was closed, I was trespassing, and she was calling the police. Mind you, this is a store that is normally open 24/7. There was no clear signage out front stating the store was closed, and none of the employees at the entrance stopped me or said anything. I apologized, stated I didn't realize the hours had changed, and began to walk toward the front. I asked her name, so that I could speak with a manager. She continued to threaten to call the police, and I again asked to speak with her supervisor. While waiting outside for her supervisor and while speaking with him, she continued to shout at me. Ironically, this woman is the customer service manager on nights. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this store. I feel that Walmart does not value their customers if they have such a person on their team as the manager of customer service. read more

I was here last week and due to the epidemic recently with Corona virus, they didn't have any laptops in stock. 30 or 40 of them on the floor but you couldn't but one and walk out of the store with it. So I was forced to order one on line. After reading the reviews, I saw that some would be shipped without power cords, so upon picking it up, I wanted to open the box and check before I left the store. I opened the box and didn't see a power cord and called for a manager. I was starting to lose my patience with her and the idea of having to try to call walmart.com when she noticed a compartment in the cardboard box that had the cord inside. I was so ready to be angry with them that I didn't even inspect the box for more than a second. I didn't get her name, but that Manager was such a beautiful person. She reminded me that even during these stressful times, there still are great people and good service. Thank you beautiful manager girl! read more

Pathetic. I've been shopping @ this Wal-Mart for years. Recently, they are out of everything. You could understand 1 week, but I have waited up to 4 weeks for something to be back on the shelf. I've been in/out of the hospital the past 2 months and should not have to stop @ Safeway or Frys. Hope Wal-Mart gets their "S" together one of these days. read more

I arrived at 11:40am and was told it would an hour to remove 1 repairable nail from my tire. I returned at 1:05pm for the same tech to tell me, "it'll be another 45 minutes before we get to it because we're really busy and now there are 3 cars in front of you and there are only 3 of us here today." Obviously, I left. Why must techs take in more they can handle and then provide INACCURATE wait time!?! read more

I had a flat tire, changed to the spare, drive to Walmart at 6:30, they close at 7, amd they worked me in, I was ready to buy a new tire, and they said they could repair it! $15 instead of $100+!! Will def be back!!! read more

As far as Walmart ' s go, this one is average. Tonight was not a great experience. There was a person ahead of us who had 1 item. After the cashier scanned his item, he decided he didn't want it. The cashier failed to delete it and proceeded to scan our items resulting in an overcharge . We were able to get it fixed, but it was a pain. On our way out, we noticed that an item we selected was $1 more than the sign indicated. There was no way we were getting back in line to get it fixed. It really makes me upset when the signed price is not what you pay! Get it together Walmart! read more

I've gone here for my cell phones, cell service, electronics, and the occasional online item. Joe one of the department managers of electronics has been extremely helpful and Austin, at times, as well. Setting up our cellphone service was essential, as I was unfamiliar with the month to month refill carriers such as those under Trac Phone. Joe made the transition from Tmobile to Trac Phone seamless, clearing up another employee's mistake from the day before when my service failed miserably to give me data. Walmart receives four stars because the employees are rather overwhelmed many times with customers waiting in line for service in the electronics department. Could use a few more employees as well versed as Joe. There's not enough employees to handle the demand or many are not as handy with the smaller phone carriers. Making Joe's job a rather important one here at Walmart. Also, love the online ordering feature of Walmart, as service so far has been fast, and super courteous. Each employee so far has acted fast, serviceable, and efficiently when I come to pick up my orders. read more

Poor customer service! I am a frequent customer at the Walmart in the Arizona Pavillion shopping center. Today I was at the store looking at a tool to see if it would be a reasonable fit for the project I was working on. I opened the case that was not sealed in any way to see if it would fit. When approached by Gabriel who's supervisor as he stated is Alana, he asked if I needed help. When I declined and told him why I was looking at the item his response was "don't steal anything." It made me feel very uncomfortable and like I was being profiled. I will definitely think twice about shopping at Walmart if that's how your staff is trained. The pharmacy staff couldn't care less about us. Needed one prescription transferred- took two days and needed my outgoing pharmacy to call and initiate it. Had a simple billing question. Asked pharmacist, and he wasn't remotely interested in helping answer it. Most pharmacies offer better customer service on accident. read more
