If I could give this walmart a negative one thousand I would! It's absolutely horrible!! There were only 4 regular checkouts open and one self checkout area ( 6 or 7 kiosk total) open. The lines reached at least 50-100 yards each the self checkout out even longer. Lines were so long that customers deserted their buggies in random places with perishable items.... complete waste yet avoidable if the store would open more lanes. Due to covid precautions you would think more lines would be open to avoid clusters of people in one tight area. I will avoid at all cost!! Just horrible read more

Every time I order from this Walmart, they send me rotten food. Most recently, I received rotten sweet potatoes, smushed, leaking, and smelly. Ordered at 8am first thing in the morning sent rotten food. I have also received rotten grapes oozing, smushed, and reeking. If I order pick up or delivery, they say items are out of stock but when I walk in the store, the shelves are full. I never get a positive experience with their selections. Now one week later from the original review, I tried ordering some more sweet potatoes. Again, I got rotten, busted, disgusting sweet potatoes. I do not recommend. Was waiting in electronics for an associate to open the charger case, a short light skin outsourced security came and just stood there on his phone. I asked him can he open the case for me since he obviously was profiling me. He said he couldn't but to wait for someone. So the associate came and unlocked it for me. While he was unlocking it security snapped a pic of me while he thought I didn't see... weird. Then proceeded to follow me all the way to checkout in electronics when the associate walked the item to the register...? Stood next to the associate while i checked out, waited all the way until I checked out and just stood there making me uncomfortable.. I guess he wanted to make me as uncomfortable as possible. I'm just thinking how did he think I was gone steal if the cabinet was locked? I guess they profiled me bc I had a hoodie on and just threw something on to go to the store to get a charger and some batteries.. now im wondering did this dude stand by the register to steal my card info?.. On a Sunday evening, I came to this location to get assistance due to an item being missing from my bag when I departed from another Walmart location. I arrived at customer service where I wasn't greeted and asked for assistance obtaining an item that wasn't put inside my bag before leaving. When the lady responded she had an attitude and told me I couldn't get the item because it'll be "taking away from us" (from that specific Walmart) although I had a receipt and paid for it. The only reason I came here was for 1 particular item that other Walmarts near don't carry, but take your business elsewhere if you're a regular customer and want to pick up groceries using their pickup service. Iron........not in the correct location.I had to first find a price machine that works. Who ever had stocked the shelves had no care where they put the boxes........as long as they made the shelves looked full. 2. Kitchen waste bin.......again....... None of the items in the correct place......scanned prices were even different from shelve prices. 3. Registers all had long lines...... This Walmart (on the corner of North Hairston and Memorial Drive) is only convenient to go to if you're already in the area. They are always out of stock of the stuff I frequently shop for. I literally go out of my way to another Walmart if I'm not pressed for time. Don't get me wrong, it's not the worst ever... but it's definitely not the best. To add, I also don't like that there are always solicitors and/or beggars in the parking lot. I have met some interesting people the few times that I have shopped here, but I'm starting to not like Memorial Drive shopping altogether. Hate to say it, but Memorial Drive is not what it used to be. Bottom line: the Walmarts in Norcross and Lithonia are better. This Walmart sucks the workers don't ever seem to know much. They always have bread or pastries that will expire the next day after your purchase which won't allow you time to try to enjoy what you purchased. The pastries say "fresh" but they keep them there longer than they're suppose to. They need to do better when it comes to the bakery department. They have too many workers and not enough service, and if you're assisted they ask for backup from a fellow Co-worker who may not know much either... Horrible... they won't call you back even if you need your medication urgently. If they tell you your medication will be ready at a certain time....it won't. I have even called ahead to make sure it's ready so I won't have to wait and guess what...it's not ready and I still have to wait. So I went to this ghetto ass Walmart and I see the Vick's humidifier for $13 which I thought was a great deal so I grab one. When I get to self checkout (because none of the damn registers are open) I scan the humidifier and it rings up for $39. I let the attendant know about the price discrepancy so he asked one of the other associates to go check the price. When I tell you this lady was so damn rude. You would've thought I was taking money out of her pocket the way that she acted. This fool proceeds to tell me "somebody else is going to help you but I don't know who" and walks off. I've definitely been in worse walmarts, but i've been in better ones as well. This one in particular, typically has what I need whenever I come in, although I sometimes (most times) have to work to find it. I went in today to get a gift card and birthday card, simple enough right? I found that a lot of the birthday cards that had sound/music were broken, and many cards were either out of place (happy birthday dad in the happy birthday sis section) or the card envelope was the wrong size, although I did find one I wanted that did work for me. More concerning was the gift cards, because on two different check out lanes, I picked up a visa gift card and the back strip was torn off, for no good purposes i'm sure. But again, with work, I was able to find a card that I was comfortable buying Customer service is hit or miss, and I do smile whenever I see a walmart cashier hold up a 5 dollar bill to check for counterfeit bills, but whatever works for them. Go ahead and grab yourself a subway sub if it suits you, because they're in there...and hey, movies! Redbox is inside too. So yea, it's walmart, it's convenient, and they usually have what you're looking for. read more

Today at 5:30 I went to exchange some pants and I did not have my receipt. Got to the counter and a lady name Vivian told me that it would go on a gift card for $3 however I bought the pants for $12.96 plus tax. So I asked her why would i not be refunded the whole $12.96 plus tax she then proceed to tell me that WALMART made changes in two weeks and they must give me the lowest price. I then asked to see it in writing because I have never heard or seen this policy. She then get upsets and tell me to move out of her way. I then say to Ms. Vivian I would like a manger she then ignores me and I asked again and she finally calls. Manger Roberto comes but Vivian pulls him to the side to have a conversation about the return she then says she doesn't understand why I'm being difficult. Roberto comes over and says well I'm just going to tell you the exact same thing she said and I'm wasting his time, at this point i am over disappoint and upset that i am being treated this way. I then ask for another manger and Marva comes over she proceeds to tell me that if I did not be quiet she was going to have me escorted out of the store with out hearing my side. Mind you there is an officer behind me. So I asked for Marva to write down her name and others so i can report to Walmart she shows me her badge and told me to write it down. I then proceed to pull my iPhone out and record since i did not have a pen and they did not give me one. As i was recording ms. Due to closures of competitors, this store, being relatively new, is really making an impact in this area of town! Relatively clean still because it is so new is a welcome site to any shopper. Never a shortage of available carts which makes shopping easy. The self-check out lanes are the way to go here for speed and efficiency. There are only ever 2-3 staffed lanes open at any given time of day. This store has a full grocery section on the left, a well staffed pharmacy on the right and clothing+ in the middle. If you just wanna pick up some milk on the way home, this is not where you wanna stop. Dairy is all the way on the back wall of the store. And we all know, once your inside, you will never leave with just what you came searching for. Inevitably, you find more than you intended. read more

This walmart is poorly ran due to the little no help from the employees, even if you search elsewhere. The aisles are sometimes a challenge to travel through because of unstocked items. Sometimes the meat department stinks like a bad fart and rotting blood. I recommend that you be very selective about the raw meats. Carts are a quest to find, includung when you enter. Do not expect the sanitize wipes to be available every time you come. You are really on your own when you shop here. The bathrooms are usually clean and stocked and no lines. The parking lot could use more lighting. read more

I visited this particular Walmart today because of its proximity. I wanted to purchase some headphone for my daughter so she could use them for virtual learning. The headphone were 9.98 on shelf however upon checkout they were coming up as 14.98. I notified cashier whom informed the Manager Steve. Not only were both very rude but they were very inconsiderate. I realize that Walmart will not do anything about this, however I just want to encourage Walmart to improve upon its horrible customer service in Predominantly black neighborhoods. Worst Walmart EVER!!!! My experience here has been absolutely terrible, I bought a pair of gaming headphones from this location because it's only 3 minutes from my home, I also purchased a 2 year warranty on my product, within the hour I found that the headphones had to be defective because the volume very low at the highest setting, so I came back to exchange my item for the same thing but hopefully a non defective item, the lady at the register said there was a difference of $14 dollars in my products, but they were exactly the same, she went on to say that maybe I purchased them while they were on sale to which I replied, no Ma'am, I just left here not even 2 hours earlier, I bought them today.... she asked her manager Alex for help but Alex was a very rude woman and didn't seem concerned at all with helping me, rather telling me that the products were not the same, to which we all found she was wrong when she asked the associate from electronics, but even though it was the same product she refused to fix my problem or void the difference I called corporate but after waiting 40 minutes to talk to no one, the phone call was ended by the other party This Walmart desperately needs new management read more

I have shopped this store a few times and had items shipped there from Walt-Mart . Com every time I shop there it is like going to Hell for something they are rude, if you ask for help they could care less and act like you are bothering them from there standing around. When I have had items shipped there for pick up. The same thing they are rude, don't care about doing the job that they are paid to do. Act like they are doing you a favor to get your item when they have the chance. Store management gives of the attitude that they could care less about the actions of the employees of the store. I would say this I have started to shop Target the people there seem to want to help you and customer service is much better. Walt-Mart customer service stinks, there phone customer is not in the USA and they really could care less if you can get them to understand you and what you are saying. I really tried with this Walmart. I had high hopes when it first opened & was hoping that it wouldn't go down hill to quickly. Well, that didn't last too long. This place is just ok. I run in when I need something quickly. It's messy, rarely stocked with commonly used items & the customer service is hit or miss. Also, the customers here seem to be running some scams because they are forever in their approaching folks with some sob story and a need for money. A lady in an electric cart full of groceries once approached me & told me that "God told her to ask me for $5 to pay for her groceries". (Side-eye). I politely told her that I know God too & He hadn't told me anything. She just rolled on over to her next victim. Overall, it's a place to run in real quick for one or two items on the way home. Walmart has an useful phone app for customers going to get their store pick up items. When you pull into their parking lot, a notification pops up giving you the option to check-in before going inside. I arrived at this store on 12/13 at 9:55 pm and used the app to check-in as I was walking towards the entrance. I immediately received a notice on the app that read "an associate is now preparing your items." However, when I walked up to the customer service area, I noticed there were no employees present and the all of the lights were turned off. I asked a nearby associate why it was already closed when it was not yet 10 pm. I followed the associate to where Selina, the Sales Manager, was standing at the front registers. She asked Selina if the customer service area was closed. She wouldn't even look up to make any eye contact, but instead very rudely said it was closed. In a non confrontational tone, I asked her why the department was already closed when I walked in beforehand. She told me that if there is no one waiting in line, they close the department early. I then showed her on the app where it said an associate was preparing my item. The rude behavior just continued. She rolled her eyes, became defensive, and said she knew nothing about this app or the option of checking in. I'm pretty surprised that a Sales Manager has no knowledge of a tool that is useful for both the consumers and the employees. I told her my item was already paid for and I just wanted to pick it up. With another eye roll she said there was nothing to be done about it. I asked to speak with the manager on duty, who she called. When she got off the phone she told me that he was in a meeting for at least another 15 minutes or more, and therefore my only two options were to come back in the morning if I wished to speak with the store manager or wait until his meeting was finished. I told her I would wait. I shopped around for a few minutes and then made my way back to the registers. The meeting lasted longer than I was originally told, so I stood in front of the registers and waited. I am appalled by the amount of attitude I received from Selina. It was completely unwarranted. My attitude was never negative towards her. I simply questioned why the department was closed before its posted time and how no one was aware of the app, especially a manager. Even as I waited for the manager on duty she would walk by and give me the dirtiest looks. When she came by to tell me that the manager was on the way, she didn't even stop and make eye contact with me. She just strolled right by me and muttered "he's coming." A few moments later I was greeted by the manager. I told him the situation, how Selina acted towards me, showed him the app, and without hesitation went and collected my item. That entire ordeal could have easily been avoided if it was handled properly to begin with. Instead, I was treated like I had done something wrong by one individual. Plus I was in the store from 9:55pm until 11:45pm just to pick up one item that I had already purchased on the website. read more

On Saturday April 7, 2018, I went to shop at the Walmart that is located 5935 Memorial Dr. Stone Mountain GA, 30083. While leaving with my purchased grocery, the attendant at the front door asked to see my receipt. She looked at my receipt and she started taking items from my bag one by one examining my purchases. When I questioned her why she is taking my items out of my bags, she "stated that some of the items in my bag were not in the receipt." I asked to speak to the store manager because this ridiculous but the store manager was not in but the assistant managers Julia was available. Julia told me "that I wasn't able to leave the store with my purchased items unless they go through my entire purchased per store policy." I told Julia if that was the case then I wanted to return my entire purchase. The customer service Assistant Manager Nate also claim that it's company policy to go through my items to make sure that I wasn't stealing. I waited in line for at least 10 minutes to have my purchased returned. When I finally returned my items, everything was accounted for that was in the receipt. My daughter was with me crying because we had to return her toys that was purchased correctly. Everything that was in my receipt was correct and to add insult to injury none of the managers apologize for this inconvenience. I was very embarrassed, upset and shaking with frustration by this situation. This has been the second time in less than six months that Walmart employees have profiled me in their store while shopping with my children. The first time I was with my six weeks old son and my daughter. I made the first complained to Walmart customer service and nothing was done to resolve the situation. I've called and made a complaint and I was supposed to hear back from the area manager today. It's been three days with no calls. Frankly I'm getting sick and tired of being mistreating in their stores. I will no longer shop at Walmart and decided to cancel my Sam's membership. read more

I have no real issues here. This place just opened up a few months ago which caused the Kroger across the street to renovate their inside. Since this Walmart is still new, the place is still fairly clean and orderly. I like to go here for convenience reasons, plus I like Walmart in general. They aren't 24 hours which is a downfall. But hey, not many places are in Georgia. I'm from Vegas and almost everything was 24/7 so I got used to that. Oh, the convenience that was. The only real complaint is some of the employees here. I bought a pot & pan set for $20 but when I went home to open it, one of the glass lids was completely shattered but hey these things happen so I wasn't trippin'. I went back to the customer service area to exchange it. The customers in front of me were trying to return a very old and dusty looking vacuum without a receipt. I could tell it was frustrating the cashier up front. I remained patient and another employee told me he'd help me at the other register so I went there and waited. Then another employee asked him to do something else so he just left me without a word. I just stayed up there and waited. The other cashier was done with her customers and called the next person that was in line after me while I was still waiting at the cashier next to hers! That person pointed to me saying I was next. So the cashier looked at me and told me in the same rude tone she used on that other person "Can I help you?" Uhh, are we in the DDS? Because you sure sounded like it. I know retail is frustrating as hell. Trust me, I've worked in retail myself on the Las Vegas Strip in the second largest Forever 21 in the United States with thousands of tourists from all over the country AND out of country--Every. Single. Day. And before that I've worked at a two story Ross on the Las Vegas Strip. So I'm not speaking on this issue in a one sided view point is what I'm saying. Customers can be frustrating but you shouldn't take out your previous frustrations from one customer and take it out on a whole different customer. Breathe. Reset yourself. On the plus side, I was there yesterday shopping for groceries when a nearby employee asked me politely if I needed help which was a somewhat rare moment for me coming from a Walmart employee. So I'm not sure if they were trying to improve their customer service as a whole or if it was just that individual person. Now to update my post... I can officially say that I am done with visiting this particular Walmart after my most recent experience with a spunky male employee. Firstly, I'm not looking to be one of those shoppers out to have one of those odd, bizarre Walmart moments. I always make it my mission to get in with all objectives in mind, and out while my heart's still beating. This past Saturday (08/05/2017) I headed out to the 'Walmart nearest me' (which is at Stonecrest Mall) to pick up my online orders. Mission almost accomplished. I awaited for the rest of my items when the 'Pickup Person' told me the rest of my items were at another Walmart over by Farrington Rd. That one was not ANYWHERE near me. This could've been avoided had I just checked my phone or called the store instead of driving all the way over there, but when it comes to Walmart, who would wanna take any chances over the phone? Especially how long I was on hold when I called THIS location for information. Tank was full of gas, so I headed to Farrington's location... I had to say, the shiny white floors of this Walmart sort of wowed me compared to the dull and lifelessness floors of the previous one, but it felt like I was in public school again, surrounded by 'hoodlums and very few security. Before you jump conclusions... I've been around the "'hood" all my life, and I know what it looks like. Trust me... I had trouble finding the Pickup because it wasn't up front, but way towards the back of the store; you could miss it if you're not focusing. Once over there, 2 sassy brown-skin females with no intention to say "Hello" awaited for me. Not a lot of people were back there, which was good. They never missed the chance to glance up at me making sure I wasn't there to rob the place :) so I had to speak outloud if they were open or not... "We'll be with you after this customer" fine, but there was another counter area and two of you - why one couldn't assist me and the other stayed there? (sigh) Finally, after getting up there (no greet for this customer), I say I have an online order. "Can I see your ID?", "Sure", "Oh, we don't have that here..." This is where I finally realized the error in my judgment earlier when I finally obtained the cellphone of the person who made the order only to notice it came to this Walmart on N. Hairston Rd. I apologize for the inconvenience, and set out to this Walmart. - fast forward - We arrive at our destination. THIS Walmart. Parking lot full. Check. Trash everywhere. Check. Loud smell of weed, alcohol, and a layer of filth that doesn't wash off after a thunderstorm... Check! Made my way into the store - asked the Receipt Task Force where's the Pickup Department, told it's where Customer Service would be. Get there to see it literally is adjacent to it, blocked off by a gang of empty (and semi-empty) shopping carts. Waited in line, told I had an online order to pick up. And this is where my bizarre experience commences. From out of somewhere, this employee with a name tag that read 'Stefon' came over to "assist" me. All the while, my objectives are still clear: Get in; Get the stuff; Get out ALIVE. I give him the order #. He asks for ID. In my mind, I'm wondering why there's no Kiosk to input your order # and have an employee retrieve it, versus this setup. He tells me it's not in my name, and that he can't do nothing - "The person who ordered it has to be here with ID" He made this conclusion after seeing that my ID doesn't match my mom's name, despite the significance in our last name, but failed to realize I'm here with an order # and a name identical to the person who ordered it. Frustrated from all the gas wasted and whatnot, I go to get her to come in. As I'm parting from Pickup/Customer Service, he sasses back over to the female workers and says, "I shouldn've never came up here" I proudly agreed, and said, "I shouldn've never came in this store" on my way out. It was at this moment... No offense to Mexicans here, but this why I prefer it that Y'ALL are working in Walmart. My other visits to the other two (2) locations, were filled with hard-working brown-skin employees just READY to GO HOME! Mexicans don't do that! They put passion into their job and hardly ever bitch! I go to the car and explain to her what's going on. She just had an operation on her toe and shouldn't be walking, but Walmart doesn't care. I even opted to bring her ID inside, but that wasn't enough. She comes in. He comes back over. Explains "protocol". She expresses her anxiety & has to find her ID. I ended up losing my cool because of his unprofessional behavior. I wanted to know who was the manager of this area (All Eyez On Us at this point), "Stefon" says he is, I ask who's over him. Some guy named Justin. At some point, he leaves. Give the guy who came over with braids and gold outlines in his teeth a raise! Good guy He took care of us and I love his personality! This is seriously the most God-forsaken place on the face of the Earth. It's filthy, unorganized, and disheveled. You know it as soon as you pull into the parking lot. Trash, debris and used food items - like chicken wing bones - layer the ground. I don't even know where to begin about the employees. They fit the same description - only you can add Rude, untrained, unresponsive, derelict, without an OUNCE of awareness of what their jobs are and what they're there to do. It's ALL about them - you'd think they were up in a Club or something. It's closest to my house, and I try my best not to go there, but sometimes for convenience sake I do thinking maybe it will be different. Totally delusional on my part. I'm just done. I. JUST.
