    My inspiration picture

I placed an order for a cake for pick up the day before Valentine's Day. When I went to go pick it up, they said that they didn't have my order. I had placed it a week in advance, but they said that no one put it in the system when they took my order. I ended up placing another order to pick up the same cake that I wanted for the next day. I showed them my inspiration pic from Pinterest and the lady took a picture of it. So I thought that it would be pretty close to what I wanted. I picked it up today and the bakery lady showed it to me. I determined that it would just be too much to tell her to change so I just took it. It looks nothing like my inspiration pic. On the box it says that I wanted purple font, but I never said anything about purple when I ordered it. They did give me a discount for messing up my first cake. It's not ugly, but it's not what I wanted.

Online grocery started good. But the produce selection went from being initially good to being laughably bad. Also the online pickup IS SELLING YOUR INFORMATION, and you can't opt out unless you live in California.

This display is about yo tip over! A safety issue for sure!

I love that everything's not locked up! The service is usually great! My favorite Walmart.

The pharmacy miss counted the number of tablets in my prescription by giving me 25 when it should have been 30.

When we walked up to the door the security guard told us he locked all the doors because the mall closes at 9??? yep we knew that but it was 8.55. so still had 5 minutes before the mall was supposed to close. The security guard said he locked all the doors and despite the mall closing at 9 he refused to unlock the doors. Hate to say this but this is unacceptable and if the mall actually closes at 8.55 then say that!!!! I will be doing all my shopping online from here on out and I hope this mall goes under!!

Obviously this isn't the malls fault because the mall itself is very well structured, and very nice. But this event DROVE us out of the mall. Now let me talk about this woman. The second we got in the store she was yelling and put clothes down aggressively, she almost knocked my sweet Molly on the floor!! OUTRAGEOUS. I hope this comes to your attention because other than this the mall is lovely! Love you beautiful humans

Btw, I had the best black garlic ramen bowl ever... so very good! I've been to this shopping center when visiting St. George, UT, a long long time ago. It's right off Fwy 15. I still remember to have visited Del Sol and it's still here. Glad you're still here Del Sol. It's a great center with over 30 premium shops and restaurants. Plenty of free parking available. I wanted to check out a handful more of businesses such as Slice House Pizza Co, Berries n Cream, Papa's Got Jerk (Jamaican food), Sweet Rolled Tacos, Capriotti's Sandwich Shop, Del Sol, but it was late and most of them had already closed for the evening. I'll have to come back and check them out next time. They also have a few biz that I thought may be interesting by their biz name... Axe Throwing, School of Rock St. George, and Cowboys and Indians.

The layout has not changed-a long row of storefronts facing the parking lot. The sidewalks in front of the stores are covered, so you're not walking in the direct sun-an appreciated design for a typically hot city. There's not much here to draw people from far away. But if you're not a serious shopper, or on the hunt for name brand items at outlet prices, you may be ok with the selection of stores here. By the looks of the busy parking lot, plenty of people still flock here to do some shopping.

As required, I scanned my digital membership card at the entrance. After proceeding about 25 feet into the store, an employee at the entrance called out to me, saying, "Sir, do you have your membership card? The card you scanned was a girl's." I was surprised and replied that I had, in fact, scanned my card. I walked back to the entrance and rescanned my membership. Despite this, the employee repeated that it was a woman's card. As he zoomed in on the image on his tablet, he continued to insist the card belonged to a female. I told him I found that comment offensive. Only after further examining the photo did he realize it was actually me and asked, "When did you cut your hair?" (I had longer hair during the COVID period when the photo was taken.) I again expressed that I found his comments offensive. Instead of apologizing, he dismissed my concern by repeatedly saying, "Come on," implying that | should not be offended. At no point did he acknowledge the mistake or offer an apology. Instead, the situation was minimized, as if the issue was my reaction rather than his conduct. This interaction raises several concerns: Is the purpose of scanning membership cards at the entrance to verify identity, or to make assumptions about a member's gender based on appearance? Are employees trained to recognize that men may have long hair and that appearance alone should not lead to conclusions about identity? How are employees instructed to handle situations where a member's appearance may differ from their membership photo? Does Costco consider how such comments may affect individuals whose appearance may not conform to traditional gender expectations, including those who may identify as transgender or nonbinary? Additionally, is gender identity in any way considered a condition or factor related to Costco membership? Regardless of intent, the comments made to me were inappropriate and offensive. People's appearances can vary widely, and employees should approach these situations with professionalism and respect rather than making assumptions or public remarks. I hope Costco takes this feedback seriously and ensures that employees are better trained to handle member verification in a respectful and inclusive manner.
