I was unimpressed with the woman working in juniors today that when asked if all the jeans are in one place told me they are everywhere but I probably should go to the older style woman's department to find some jeans for me. Really? I'm thin and hip and don't want to wear old lady jeans!!! Also, as I was going in the dressing room she grabbed my backpack/purse and told me she would hold it for me!! I think not!! I told her I would not be letting her hold my purse she groaned and said she will NEED to open it and look in it when I was done in the dressing room. Wow. Just wow. I'm almost 70 years old and was really embarrassed by her treatment. I will not go in this store again. I have been a loyal customer for 30 something years. read more

The building is small, dark and poor laid out. The clothes are mostly name brand and the prices are pretty spend. I went here to find a birthday present and saw some cute shoes. I picked out about 3 pairs and they didn't have a size 8 in any of them! I walked out shortly after and won't be going back. The ladies working there are also not the friendlies. Neat store! They usually have some pretty awesome sales. Great quality of items. Large store. I have only been once and if was about a year ago.. I remember I thought it was a pretty cool store though. I'll have to go back soon. They also have a friendly staff. read more

I was happy with the selection of the kid's clothing. A couple items I ordered online already from somewhere else I found at this store so something I'll keep in mind so I don't have to wait for shipping. It is pricey and their policies are almost a dealbreaker, it certainly makes me not want to shop here because to me it implies some insecurity for their products. There was a ton of sale stuff though so I didn't just walk out. The quality of a few were not good... and of course I didn't notice til I got home and took the tags off. They have a ridiculous policy of no tags, no return. One of the plaid button up was MISSING a button and the jeans had studs and rhinestones that were supposed to line the front pockets and it looked like the machine or person that put them on was drunk. I'm not sure about their exchanges, but will call tomorrow to find out because this was just ridiculous, especially the pants to try and pass that off as good. The clothes in general are cute, but if the sale wasn't going on I wouldn't spend that kind of money on their clothing, especially getting clothes that were missing a button and pants that the decorations were just everywhere... that was a disappointment, I hope I can just exchange them for new ones. read more

Boo. I was hoping for a good department store after Dillard's crapped the bed (and JC Penny and Sears just do not count!) My sister warned me it was pricey. Oh God, this place! It IS pricey...cheap crap overpriced like Boho. No real brands, though its laid out like a Macy's (only dimmer.) Maybe like a Macy's and Von Maur (midwesterners remember them?) The junior's department is a crime against nature: its ugly like Dillards, but even more overpriced. Not one decent thing in a very large section. Everything looks so cheap...like it will fall apart in 5 seconds and is marked up 300%. If I were a wealthy woman I wouldn't be caught dead in a $50 (wholesale priced 50 cents) shirt from here. You can by cheap trashy clothes in every strip mall in St. George, why tack on $25, cuz you can (and I thought La Boheme was outrageous in this very thing!) What's really odd is it seems like the rich of this town (and there are a lot of them, over 50 anyways) seem to think this is THE place to be. There's even poorly made jewelry by one of them sold here. These types with this kind of taste wouldn't last 5 minutes in a real city. The only saving grace was on the way out we spotted a table full of really pretty shoes on sale. A black sparkly pair of high heels went home with me for $10. As I waited to pay, a very elderly gent paid for $700 worth of something and he seemed to be a regular (you give me $700 in a Macy's and I'll show you taste). After fawning over him the sales guy treated my bargain like it was scraped shit, he couldn't even give me a box for them. He acted like it was the hardest and most impossible request ever made. While I may not be rich with no class I do spend a lot of money on clothing and jewelry and make up, department store things. I love department stores (good ones anyhow) but I do firmly believe whether you're buying a $5 clearance shirt or a $2,000 dress you deserve courteous treatment. Money (or simply being beyond overpriced) does not equal class, and that's what this place seems to be trying so hard to achieve (ironically a few doors down from KMart and Payless of all things!!!) Other than the shoes, don't go here for a bargain (and I guess bring your own box!) If you're elderly and looking for gifts for your younger relatives that they will hate and promptly put on a garage sale/ebay, I guess this is the place to go. read more

I used to go to this store fairly often. After not visiting for over 8 years, I found myself in the store with my Mom. She is petite, and I searched everywhere in the store for the petite section. I found it (right in front of the cash wrap), and proceeded to help my Mom pick up some items to try on. Did the sales girls ask me for help? No. Did they offer any suggestions? No. I did all of the styling, running back and forth for sizes, and putting items back, while they stood around and did nothing; collecting a paycheck. What a disappointment. Their Brighton jewelry was marked up over 500%. You can get it for less than half of the price Christensen's was charging on the Brighton website. I get it. They are in business to make money, but this was ridiculous. Uncomfortable environment coupled with standoffish staff and overpriced items. My Mom has made her last purchase at Christensen's. We won't be going back. read more

I enjoyed Christensen's, the store is pretty open and laid out nicely so it was easy to find things. They have a decent selection of things, I can't speak for the women but on the men's side it wasn't too bad. The only thing that wasn't that great were the prices, things were pretty expensive but that comes with the brands they are selling; ex: Oakley, RVCA. What I liked most was that they had a wide selection of shorts and shirts for young adults and they were also having a sale which definitely made for a better experience because I got some really nice items for a good price. I will definitely shop here again. read more

For years, Christensen's has been a "go to" store for our family, whenever we traveled to StG. Always finding something unique and beautiful. It's not cheap, that's for sure, but you get some great things. And their "MISSIONARY" package is fantastic! read more

I don't know what location the other post was referring to, but I have never had a bad experience. I have shopped at two locations, St. George and Cedar CIity. Both locations have been a great experiences and I plan to shop often. The staff is courteous and helpful. The clothing met all my expectations. If I wanted high end, over priced clothes, I would be shopping at the larger city south. Very pleased with Christensen's. read more

Okay... listen up Christensen's department store employee's and managers. When you are in the retail business, the first part of success is CUSTOMER SERVICE. Without customers... you'd just be another statistic of failure. I was a potential customer today, here's my story. I called to ask if a certain pair of shoes could be ordered by phone, to my surprise.. I got an associate telling me that " today wasn't a good day to do that, yes it's possible, but we have a huge sale going on and it would take a very long time to complete this sale... Call back on Monday ".. Okay number one.. you just lost a 170.00 shoe sale. Number two.. If I was the manager in that store, I'd be doing a lot of training to make sure customer service was the #1 priority and #3... make sure every customer feels appreciated. Love this store. They have a giant sale every Martin Luther King day, and we go every time. Yes, they are a little pricey, but with the sale, everything goes down. Love this store! Heading there right now! read more
