I am not a regular Walmart shopper. But they had a great price on tires. This Walmart is like most other locations, overloaded with tons of stuff I do not need. The staff at the auto center desk were very pleasant. I had a 10:00 appointment & I arrived on time. When I asked how long it would take, the young man who checked me in said to give them an hour. After an hour and 15 minutes, I got a text saying they were beginning my service. After two hours, I went up to the desk to check. A woman said it was almost done. Nearly 30 minutes later, it was finally ready. So 2.5 hours, not one hour. Lucky for me, I had the time to wait. So the tirr center staff was nice but the whole process took half a day with my travel there & back. read more

Processed some photos for same day in which I spend at least 30 min. making sure the photos were correct. To submit them @ 11:53 & got confirmation that the photos would be ready @ 12:40pm. Well, at 12:20pm I sat by the photo center to wait & saw no activity. I asked the woman in the photo area & she indicated that they had No Paper. 1st question was why wasn't I notified, 2nd question when will paper be available, she could not answer. So, it's 7:28pm and I have called the store at least 12 times with no one answering the phone. The one time the phone was answered she directed me to photo and no one answered the phone. I am extremely disappointed in this Walmart. I drove out of my way to get these pictures and I spent all day trying to get these photos and I have nothing. I wasted my entire day! I am beyond pissed. Ran in here real quick to pick up a few items that I knew I would need and couldn't find elsewhere. I also didn't want to have to wait until after the fact to order online. Finding a parking space here was fairly easy for me, albeit I was parked near the lawn and garden department and not really the front entrance. Inside, it was a bit of a maze to navigate through the aisles. Like most location, and starting to look like Dollar Generals out there, there were carts of stock in the aisles to be worked. Looking at an item was just as hard as navigating through the aisles. Most times, it felt like you were actively being pushed out of the way to make way for someone else. Twice now I've had custom cake orders canceled last-minute at Walmart Severn (Store #2435), ruining my birthday and my mother's. In January, no one informed me my custom item wasn't made. Most recently, I took time off work expecting to finalize a cake order, only to be ignored in-store, overhear staff refuse calls, and be told by a "Team Lead" (not a manager) that I was misled again. This review is for the tire center only. When we were about to leave we determined that the spare was not properly installed in wheel well. My husband had to do it and then go back in store to wash up. The crew tried to stuff the tire in the well and broke a piece of floorboard instead. Then we we went to our car service center to have wheels aligned. On the way the tire pressure system (TPS) light came on. It turned out that one of the new tires was severely under filled, 26 instead of 36. We have never had that happen before anywhere we have had this done. Bottom line is we won't use their tire services again. Not recommended. read more

This Wal-Mart has a rating of "could be better" because it could! My rating has more to do with walmart's current systems rather and service member's attitudes and such. First, shoppers beware of the prices of the items you are purchasing. Simple example. I got a flip yogurt that was labeled $1.29 each. At the register it rings up as $1.38. We all know prices are going up but Walmart needs to properly label these items. Clearly, corporate needs to recognize that they need to hire more employees to complete these tasks. They cannot expect the crew they have already to do more for the same pay. Second, Christmas and New Years is a high retail season so they need to have more or all registers open. The place is packed. Its always packed. Walmart has all the lanes for a register..... Open them up! Simply relying on self-check out is not going to cut it. Stop being cheap Walmart! In and out! Came to get keys made and the waiting area was FULL. I was help quickly and politely. Picked up a few items, using self checkout and it was uncomplicated too. The staff was helpful when I couldn't find the raisins. Sure the placement didn't make sense, but they told me the exact aisle to find it. Another good Walmart visit in the books. I didn't leave with what I came for but it was my fault. I got caught up in the vast variety of items. I didn't overspend though! I only spent twenty dollars. One star was deducted due to store layout. In the plant/seasonal section, there are two registers and only one line feeding into both. Almost everyone got into one line. However, one family saw the longer line, ignored it ad lined up directly behind customers. Fortunately those customers had a large quantity of purchases and the other was quicker. I filed police reports only two times in my entire life----- both of them were this Wal-Mart. There's a serious problem with the staff they hire here. I had my identity stolen once (by cashier, at register) and my wallet stolen once (by an employee who has access to the lost and found bin in the managers office). First, the ID theft. Somehow they got my personal information from the POS machine when I paid for groceries, opened up a bunch of credit cards in my name... nightmare to clear up. Second one, I forgot my wallet on the counter at the sporting good department. Came back later, staff said- oh yeah! We took it to the lost and found in the managers office. I go to the managers office, the lady tells me they have my credit cards and money, but the wallet itself is missing. It was a coach wallet. I went back to sporting goods told this to the employee who turned my wallet in, and he was BAFFLED. He swore he turned in the wallet intact with everything. But suddenly when it gets to lost and found, only my money and credit cards are there, no wallet? I went back a few days later asking about the wallet, hoping it showed up later... different person that day working in lost and found. She remembered seeing the wallet when it was first turned in, and she showed me where she wrote it down in the lost and found book when it first came in. with the cards and money inside it that day. She said another manager came in after her, and that manager might know. That manager said she never saw a wallet. Went through a whole schpeil with the store owner. Needless to say, I avoid this place like the plague after getting robbed twice by employees. And yes, I filed police reports both times. read more

I'm not a fan of Walmart nor the Walmart culture and I'm inclined to shop at any store other than Walmart. Having said that this review is to say that this Walmart SuperStore is very clean, brightly light, well stocked, and the employees and managers are friendly and helpful. I made a quick trip to get a particular water hose fitting for the outside garden. I didn't like the products available at the nearby Lowe's so stopped in to see Walmart's selection. While not the exact item I was looking for, Walmart had two choices. One was chosen. The garden section, while smaller than Lowe's or Home Deport, was very nice and full of healthy plants. Thats better than the DIY stores can do. Having said all this, I still don't shop at Walmart unless it is absolutely necessary! :-) read more

On the one hand, it's a Walmart. On the other hand, it is good Walmart superstore in our area. Good prices, well stocked. Nothing super fancy but great for many household supplies. Their suppermarket is well stocked, muck like many of the area area supermarkets and the prices are good. I have also picked up at this store a garden shed kit I ordered online at Walmart.com. When I discovered that the kit would not fit in my vehicle, the staff helped me by keeping the kit in a storage container until I could come back with a suitable trailer. read more

With that said, this particular Walmart has pluses and minuses. Sometimes the staff can be helpful and sometimes not. Sometimes it's clean, sometimes not. Let me start by saying my back went out yesterday. I still need food. So I am wearing my back support and lean on the shopping cart while shopping. I parked at the middle set of doors because I was able to park close. I finished my shopping at that end of the store and checked out. Now I find out they just closed that entrance. It's only 4PM. No one working there cared. I asked for the manager and he just said "that entrance is closed now." Duh! Why? When I complained that I have a physical issue and now I have to walk all the way around he didn't care. But when I used a profanity in my response all of a sudden he cared about something. Not about me however. So, you know what he got. I told him to "F" off and flipped him the bird as I turn and left. Either have the door open or closed you idiots! read more

I've never been to a Walmart that was always out of stock ... from food... to beauty products but they are always in the isles restocking. They will block off an entire isle to restock in the middle of the day on a Saturday. It's Friday night and they have the beauty isle blocked off... during a time other stores are closed. Went to buy some basic stuff and redeem some lottery tickets. The line I stood in to redeem the tickets took at least 20 minutes. I am not exaggerating. I was only the 3rd person in line. I could not go to any other line. It was the only one open. The product I bought was terrible, but thats on the people who make it. Side note - the Pride clothes for sale look so bad. I have no idea who green lit these designs but they look absolutely awful. Some of the ugliest shirts i have ever seen, not just pride shirts, just shirts in general. Looks like someone opened Microsoft word and played around with the rainbow word art. Clashing colors and cookie cutter statements that no gay person would actually say. Went there today at 10:00 to pickup my daughter curbside order and she texted me showing they would be out shortly with it. 10:12 no one had brought my purchase so I asked where the hell was my bag. Employees went inside to inform someone else. 10:17 another skanky 'white employee is walking towards my car empty handed and I asked her where in the hell was my bag because I have been waiting 17 damn minutes and another customer pulled up after me and got a minivan loaded up. The employee didn't like it cause I was pissed and said bye. I went in the store and asked for a manger and told her what had happened and waited another 15 minutes for a total of 45 minutes and still didn't have my package. Manager comes back to say they didn't have what my daughter order and wanted to offer me a substitute which I knew my daughter wouldn't accept. I had to ask what was going to happen with the rude employee who didn't like the fact I was upset for waiting 17 minutes and still not having my package. Manager claim she was going to speak to all employees doing curbside orders to make sure to go to each car to see if they're checked in and she would speak to the rude girl who told me bye. I don't believe it for one minute and had to show the manager that I had checked in like she thought I hadn't. I'll most likely be shopping at Target from now on where I know I don't have to wait 17 minutes for a curbside pick up. read more

It's a great Walmart, honestly. Usually an in and out trip where I grab what I need and I'm out in no time. They are usually stocked throughout so very rare that I don't find something that I need. Their photo printing service is usually quick if it's during their hours and it's great. The only complaint is when something is locked up and you need an associate... good luck finding them. read more

This review is for the Auto Service Center - I had to get our tires installed yesterday and thought Wal-Mart would be a great place to go to get these 2 front tires mounted/balanced. Arrive around 130PM, told it is about a 2 hr wait and another 20-30 minutes to install. Well... I didn't leave Wal-Mart until 545 PM! Very slow service and no apologies whatsoever. So, so wrong, at least for me, on so many levels. I wonder how come the local news doom and gloom "economy is falling" news crews don't do a stand-up in front of this place? Perhaps because they would be run over by the hundreds of customers coming and going at all hours with carts full of stuff that we probably don't all really need. Okay you can make the argument that most of that money is on its way across the Pacific to China...but at least its stopping here in local workers pockets and in Arkansas for a little while. I go way too often and I buy more stuff than I should. All that being said this is a consumer paradise, at least for cheap goods and groceries in a one stop format. It is a little overwhelming at times. There is just too much of everything. Too many products, too much humanity, too much of humanity stuffed into each pair of structureless sweatpants ( sorry, my sartorial snobbery is showing). This is my favorite Walmart of the three in my vicinity. The one in Laurel is ALWAYS crowded with not enough registers and they do not sell ammo (PG county). The one @Arundel Mills has a weird, chaotic vibe. Maybe because of its proximity to the mall. This particular Walmart is expansive, clean, well lit and rarely over crowded. This Walmart at George Clauss Blvd has always been particularly awful. I needed to go to Customer Service. To just get a replacement tax ID card for my KOA Campground before I could shop. I was delighted to find there was no line. Figured it would take about 5 minutes. I had brought my tax exempt certificate, driver's license, company credit card and was wearing my uniform shirt with my company logo. The customer service employee tried looking up my account, after several unsuccessful attempts she call her manager on the phone. She was told to tell me her manager said no. That since they couldn't find the account they can't give me a replacement card.I insisted that there is an account. The manager then told her to tell me , you only get one replacement card in a lifetime. Sounds ridiculous doesn't it?! I gave up and left the department and went shopping. Later while I was checking out my order, I saw a guy who I assumed was a manager. I stopped him and he confirmed he was store manager Jay. I told him what happened. He told the girl just have me open up another account. So here I have a cart and a half of pershiable groceries checked out. I turn look at the customer service line which is now long. I look at this manager Jay. And say so I have to stand in line again for a 2nd time ??! He looked at me said Yes. And simply walked away. I get back in line the same employee waits on me again. Ugh I spend the next 25 minutes while she tries to input the information and is unsuccessful. She says the computer keeps erasing everything. No...... she doesn't know what she's doing. I am now worrying about my groceries sitting there melting. So I finally just give up and tell her forget it! Altogether I probably wasted about an hour, stood in line twice, and ended up with no card. This is why the manager should have followed through. I realize managers are busy. But he should have made sure someone finished with my issue. While I had been waiting the first time I noticed how many employees were wearing their ID badges backwards. So their names are not displayed. I see why. An employee who overheard what was going told me to report the manager's behavior. They said Jay was often mean to the staff and customers. Altogether I wasted about 40 minutes and ended up leaving without it. On my way home I stopped at another Walmart near my house. Told them my experience with the other Walmart. They said they could help me. The girl looked up our account found it right away and I had my replacement card within ten minutes. read more

Great cosmetics mgr Dawn! I had a poor expereince last night at Walmart and today Dawn told me exactly what I needed to hear. She is a great listener and I trust she will do exactly what she promised she would do. Did you all know that the Cosmetics section is not open between 10pm-7am at Walmart? Neither did I until I walked in at 10:45pm to purchase face soap & cream for my 14 year old daughter, who's face was breaking out; and learned it was CLOSED, while "stocking items" for the safety of its customers. Dawn hates this policy as much as her customers do. Its gonna take more than me and her to make Walmart see that if your gonna be open 24-7 each department should be available as well. 12/8/17 11:45pm - This is the worst Walmart in the area. They are always understaffed and out of stock. We're expecting a snow storm late tonight into tomorrow so you would think that they would call in extra late night staff for the registers--wrong. It's not unusual on any ordinary night they have 3 registers open with poorly trained associates running them resulting in long lines and long waits. A woman who I assume is a supervisor jumped on a register and relived a few of us from waiting but series guys... Just avoid this location. Walmart in Severn has the rudest employees & managers. Foad in sporting goods was very disrespectful and nasty towards me and yelled at me bc he felt I didn't fill out something correctly. I wasn't rude, or nasty to this man until he thought he was gonna scream at me like I was a child. When I told him I wanted to see a manager he said that's fine he then tell his manager Tim the situation which I asked the manager to step over with me bc one I wasn't going to go back and forth with this man and two bc he shouldn't have talked to him first. Also he stated to my wife when we got there that he had already denied 2 other people today due to suspicious behavior wtf does that have to do with us? I refuse to be judged bc I am married to woman and or bc I am black. I even told Tim pull the cameras you can see myself or my. Wife only acknowledged him when he spoke. Foad making comments how we were hostile and how I had an attitude from the moment I walked up to him was a complete LIE,and his manager agreeing with him is ABSOLUTELY insane to me. Then had the audacity to tell Foad to step away bc he wouldn't stop yelling, but that's ok? If we were hostile it's bc I am not and definitely not my wife is going to ALLOW a grown man who is a cashier at Walmart think that it is ok to scream at me or think he will talk to me any type of way.
