I've been working around here for about a year and a half and did not know such thing. Welcome to the Walmart of the tools stores. Here is an excellent place to find those tools that are cheap in price as well as craftmanship but that is not a bad thing. Why get those kind of tools here do you ask? Well if you worked in the construction business you will most likely understand that you need those "cheap" tools to lend to your co workers that like to not give things back, you've lost only $5 and not $15, get it? Got it? Good! There are lots of "gadget" tools that will keep you amazed and wondering why those were not invented earlier or why you have not seen them anywhere else. They have everything from those electronic fly swatters ($5 here, $12 at other places), your staple tools aka wrenches, sockets, screw drivers etc, varment traps, compressors, small electric hand tools, jewelry cleaners, wheels, welders and women.... yes, they shop here too. Customer service is pretty much helpful and friendly. If they notice the lines getting backed up a quick intercom call will squash the situation in minutes via stand in's hustling from the back to man the other two cash registers. Parking is plenty, it sits in the same parking lot as a pawn shop so if you can't find what you need over there, you should be able to find it here. Note, if you ever see the word "Pittsburgh" on someone's tools, you pretty much know where they bought it. If you are a married woman and want a place to drop off your man for a few hours while you do whatever you need to do.......well this is the place, he won't miss you while he's in here, just saying.

Today, between around 4:15 to 4:45pm, an associate asked me to leave in an aisle where I was still…read morelooking at some sweaters. I thought she was just passing through but she actually stayed there and started re-arranging the clothes I was browsing. How inconvenient for me as a customer to Immediately pick up my stuff and be asked to leave. The associate (named Jay G. [a young lady]) was not even respectful enough to say "I am so sorry ma'am but I have to arrange the clothes here" & I will be definitely ok with that; instead she acted boastful and very not accommodating!! Yes she said excuse me but stared at me long so disrespectfully enough that made me uncomfortable & felt she was waiting for me to leave the area (which happens to be the very reason she was saying excuse me for!). What made it worst was when I reported it to the manager, the manager too was not apologetic herself! Even when I told her that I felt disrespected by their associate, Jay G, the manager insisted & said "Well she said excuse me to you and I don't see what's wrong with that!". TALK ABOUT BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE there!! I love TJ Maxx & and all their items especially their clothes!!.. but because of these two inconsiderate, disrespectful, not accommodating & unreasonable employees who work at their Port Arthur branch, I may not come back for a while. Customers should be treated with RESPECT & should be given necessary accommodations especially when one expressed how they felt being treated that way. The manager should know better!! Obviously, the manager does not know good customer service herself! I just hope & pray for these two people that they do not affect the store with their negative attitude!! You do not deserve to be a part of such a great store! TJ Maxx must be careful in hiring people like them for they ruin the store's good reputation. I still LOVE TJ MAXX! I just hope that this is the first & last time I would get mistreated & disrespected by their employees.
