Walmart Pick up: I have recently started using this service and have been impressed. Ordering online is user-friendly and this store has what I need in stock. I value the ease with which I am able to pick up my order and I never have to leave the vehicle. The employees bring my order to the car promptly and I am on my way quickly. This experience revealed a significant deficiency in Walmart's customer service surrounding the financial products it chooses to sell. I purchased a Western Union money order from Walmart and subsequently discovered that it had been issued for $8 more than the amount required. I returned to the store with both the original, uncashed money order and my purchase receipt, reasonably expecting either assistance or clear instructions regarding how to correct the transaction. I received neither. I was simply told that I would have to contact Western Union. Walmart provided no telephone number, no website, no written instructions, and no meaningful explanation of the process. I was left to research the matter and determine the appropriate course of action myself. What makes this particularly difficult to understand is what I learned after contacting Western Union. I must now complete an online process, wait approximately five days for Western Union to issue a reference number, and then take that number back to Walmart--the very retailer that initially declined to provide any meaningful assistance--to obtain my refund. To be clear, I understand that Walmart does not establish Western Union's refund policies. My criticism of Walmart is much simpler: if a retailer chooses to sell a financial product to its customers, there should be a basic level of support when an issue arises. I was not asking Walmart to override Western Union's policies. I was asking for assistance with a product Walmart had just sold me. At an absolute minimum, the customer-service department should have been able to provide the appropriate telephone number, website, written refund procedure, or an explanation of the steps required. Instead, I received essentially no assistance at all. A customer should not have to independently research how to resolve a problem with a financial product purchased at Walmart while standing at Walmart's customer-service counter with the original product and receipt in hand. This was not merely inconvenient; it demonstrated an unacceptable gap between Walmart's willingness to sell a service and its willingness or ability to support customers who encounter a problem with that service. Walmart can certainly choose to act merely as an agent for Western Union. But if it accepts customers' money and facilitates these transactions, it should also ensure that its customer-service employees are equipped to provide accurate, basic guidance when something goes wrong. Worst location ever. I live close and do most of my shopping at this Walmart. I bought 8 tires from them for my 2 cars and had them installed there. the tires on the first car are fine, the problem is with the second car tires. I am certain they installed defective tires because after less than 9k miles the tires are in bad shape and the thread is out you can see it and touch it. I have done my best to reason with them and solve this but I feel like I am talking to the wall, they won't take responsibility, they are giving me a different excuse each time, once they said we don't have the same brand now, then they said you need to call the corporate office and have them help you, well I called the corporate office and they didn't help. they gave me a phone number for the tire manufacturer I called and it says "the mail box for the person you called is full??????????????". Came to this Walmart today. Everything does seem well placed for being a super center and has most of the necessities we were looking for. It doesn't appear the cleanest and it is very hard to get any help from most of the associates as it seems they don't really care for questions. All in all it's wasn't the worst experience but definitely didn't have the customer service aspect of most places. read more

Stopped by to get My car battery replaced. I asked for help with getting the right battery, Randy, the man at the counter was very helpful. He did use a book to look up the correct battery, I didn't expect that. I was expecting for him to look up the info on the computer. We walked outside to get my cars VIN number and my car's milage. During our small walk, we had a short conversation, Randy was very polite and professional. They did take a really long time just to install a battery. read more

Deplorable Customer Service/Store Experience. My primary Walmart Store #00688 located at 5824 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN 37211. I shop heredue to its convenience/close proximity to my home. However, this store has a long history of horrible customer service/shady business practices throughout the store & especially the Auto Center. A few years ago, I purchased new tires/installation at this store and paid extra for the Lifetime Balance & Rotation. For years it was like pulling teeth to get my car serviced. They would tell you come early in the morning but when you get there even early as 10 am, they would say they are too busy and to come back and try another day at 7am. My most recent incident was no different. Stopped to shop about 6:30 PM; 12-JUN 2023 & asked Kris/Auto Service Mgr when I could get my car serviced. He stated we can't tonight because we stop taking cars at 6:00PM, however if you are here tomorrow by 6:00PM we will service your vehicle. I told him I would be back tomorrow before 6:00PM. On 13-JUN 2023 got off work at 5:30 & arrive at auto center arriving at 5:50PM. A different manager, Ali asked what I needed, and I told him Rotate/Balance. He began looking around & said we are busy. I then explained what Kris/Auto Serv Mgr has advised the night before and Ali said, "Ok you are here, and we will take care of it". He then told me to wait because he needed to help another customer. When he finally came back, he became defensive as if I was being untruthful, asking a slate of questions, "Who told you to come before 6:00?"; "What time were you here last night?"; "Are you sure he told you that you would be serviced tonight". I explained that I have no reason to lie and was simply doing what Kris had advised. He again told me to wait as he needed to assist another customer. While he was gone, Peter/technician began to explain that they were busy, and it wouldn't be fair if he had to stay late because of what Kris said. Ali finally came back and continued telling me that my car would not be serviced regardless of what Kris said. I spoke to YoYo/Cust Serv Mgr who also spoke to Ali but was given the same negative response. For 55 minutes Ali gave a litany of excuses/reasons why he wasn't going to service my vehicle and quite frankly the Rotate&Balance could have been complete in about that same time. Ali offered me to come back tomorrow but due to me working in a different office, I wouldn't arrive by 6:00PM. He quickly stated, "You must be on time". I replied, "I was early today but you still refused to service my vehicle". After all this I asked YoYo/Cust Serv Mgr if she would please call the store manager, Carwan, so I could speak to him about this situation. She told me this situation was not serious enough to call the store manager, but I could call the store tomorrow and ask for him. What good is it to pay for extra services when you are continuously given bogus excuses in order to refuse to service your vehicle. This is just one instance but is a classis example of the type of service that has been provided by this location consistently over the years. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED with the drive up service at this location! This is the second order (after being an online Walmart customer at other locations for 3 years!) that I've had items missing. Both at this location. Last time I didn't realize until I got home and was unable to ever get ahold of someone over the phone at the store. So, I made sure to double check before leaving. Sure enough, 2 items were missing! I waited, finally found an employee, explained to him, waited some more, watched 2 cars get their orders, found another employee, explained to him, then eventually he brought out the two items. The kicker? He refused to give them to me (after waiting there about 30 minutes!!!) until checking the rest of my groceries in the back of my car because the other employee that brought out my items "insisted" that he had already given them to me! No apologies from any employee for their error, not even a personable comment to lighten the mood, only accusations of me lying/stealing. SO DISAPPOINTING! I now see this review is a drop in the bucket & know Walmart as a corporation has their share of controversies. I urge you to NEVER use this store and we as Americans should probably avoid this chain as a whole and remind them who makes them their money--their customers--because they clearly don't treat us with respect. read more

I usually imagine every wal mart is the same. Busy over crowded An lines really long an no where to park. I wanna say this wasn't one of those times. First off this Walmart has VALET and it is free. I was told it's the only wal mart in the world with VALET parking. Minimal parking in front of the store but across the creek that flows thru the lot there is plenty of spots but who wants to walk so far in the heat. I'll always come to wal mart on Nolensville pike. I almost completely quit shopping at Walmart years ago. However, my workplace moved a few months ago, and this store is on my usual route home. I thought that it would be a great place to grab some occasional items that I needed on my way home. I guess my expectations were too high. Some things that they did almost make me wonder if they were trying to keep me from getting home. Even the parking lot is confusing with the creek or forestry or whatever that is in the middle of it. It makes it harder for me to find my car. When I first went there, they had the really nice Scan and Go service. I could scan my items with my mobile phone and then just scan a bar code at the register to pay. No more waiting in the self-scanning line behind 20 people who practically bought out the store. No more waiting in the checkout lines where there are something like fifty registers but maybe four of them are staffed. Alas, it was not to be. One day I went there to shop, and the Scan and Go was gone. When I asked an associate about it, she had no idea what happened. In my second effort to save time. I ordered some items on the app for store pickup and figured I could use that pickup tower that looked pretty well automated. I thought to myself that this would surely be quick an easy. What could go wrong? I regret to inform my readers that I soon found out. I checked in on the app about 30 minutes before I got there. Even if they had none of my items ready, that should have been enough time. I closely followed the orange arrows painted along the parking lot that told me where to go for pickup. Then, I approached the giant orange tower all ready for a quick-automated experience that would let me pick up my order and escape. The only problem is that it didn't work. I scanned my barcode on the scanner, and I was told to watch the status on the hanging monitor which took me a minute to find. I was assured by the flashy monitor that an associate would be here with my stuff shortly. The monitor assured me that they were retrieving my order. However, no one showed up for quite some time. I asked an associate in the nearby self-scanning checkout, and she said that I needed to talk to customer service because she didn't believe that they did pickup there. The customer service rep called, and it still took a long time for someone to show up. When someone finally did, he had one of the four items that I ordered and then disappeared again saying he'd check the back. He finally came back, and wouldn't you know it? All of the rest of my items were inside the tower all along! It took thirty minutes for something that should have taken five. read more

This is the worst Walmart I have ever visited. The worst. Forever. To accomplish such a feat is truly an honor. The horrible news is that this place is the closest store to me so I find myself going here out of sheer convenience / stupidity. This location is so bad in fact that my New Years resolution was to stop shopping at Walmart. I made it 6 months. Breaking that resolution is something that will haunt me for the rest of my life. The parking lot. It has a flippin creek running through it. A creek? Whatever Walmart employee decided this location would be a good idea must be brother in law to one of the members of the direct family because he surely did not earn his job through competence. The employees here actually aren't that bad. Just don't expect to be able to find anyone to help you and the checkout lines are always painfully long. The real gem here are the customers. I once had a whole family walk in front of me in line and each of their 12 children dropped a load of items into an unmanned empty buggy that I suppose was saving their place. Just a typical visit here y'all. One final piece of advice - don't count on the website's store inventory being correct. I've been burned more times than I care to mention by items that the website said were "In stock are your local Walmart!" only to find they don't even carry the item in the store. read more

I hate this place. I've been to all the Walmart Supercenters in the area, and this place is just painful. The parking is a nightmare and a mess. The layout is unintuitive and not open at all. At most of the Walmarts, you can see all the way across the front, but it's not possible at this one. I had a really nice girl when I got some chicken wings, and I wanted to compliment her to a manager, but there was no manager to be found in the area, so I asked, and she's behind the counter, and although she's clearly not on the phone, and she knew I wanted to speak to her, she made no point to communicate or approach me at all. Don't expect to price match easily here, the first time I tried it the lady made me show her where I got my coupons. when I reminded her that it was corporate policy that I didn't have to she told me "it's common courtesy to show us" Luckily I had an app on my phone and had to look up all the coupons. The next time I tried to price match the lady didn't know how and I had to guide her though the process, and again I was asked to show my ads. Also there are dish people who sit in the main walk way and heckle you to buy their product. The girl yesterday yelled at me down the hall that I would save 500 a year in a "tone" if I swiched over, I turned around and told her that was rude and she cut me off and told me to have a nice day. This has to be one of the worst Walmarts I have ever been to. There is no organization of product. The store is unattractive with regard to cleanliness. There are always kids running around unattended, screaming and shrieking and playing with shopping carts. The employees are always more concerned with their personal conversations than helping customers, and the managers are not much better. On one occasion, there were not enough registers open and after standing in line for over ten minutes, another customer standing behind me asked two managers walking by if they could open some more registers only to be told, "No, but you can go over to the Jewelry counter and they will check you out there. Now, the jewelry counter had no way of processing the produce items she had in her arm. They did not apologize for the wait or even say have a nice day as they proceeded away from us as if we had said nothing to them at all. It is almost impossible to find working displays in this store. I went in shopping for an android tablet and while there were 6 on display, NONE of them worked and I was told they could not show me one that DID work. This went on for roughly three months before I gave up. If you use their check cashing service and the service declines to cash the check, you get no explanation, only an 888 number to call where you are placed on hold for as much as 30 minutes only to be told that the decision was based on criteria obtained from the computer. Gift cards? LORD, never take an eGift card in there and expect to get out quickly. The undertrained cashiers have no idea what to do with these and the managers/front end supervisors act as if you interrupted the second coming of Christ when they are asked for assistance. HONESTLY, were it not for the fact that the store is less than 2 miles from my home and the prices, I would never set foor in this Walmart again!!!! read more

This Walmart Autocare Team are the worst. A simple oil change turned into a major issue. After checking the vehicle in, I saw it quickly on the lift as I was the only customer having maintenance performed at that time. After about 30 minutes I got concerned as the tech seemed to be meandering around and not in a hurry. As I moved to get a closer look I noticed the tech using a wrench to get the bolt started in the oil pan. After several attempts he seemed confused and asked for help. After a few more attempts the service manager walked over and told me the oil pan and bolt were damaged during a previous oil change and they couldn't get the bolt back in. They said when the tech loosened the bolt, it simply fell out of the oil pan. On inspection of the bolt I quickly realized the only thread damaged was the first thread. I told them, no he cross threaded the bolt and damaged it and now he can't get it back in. Thankfully the Autocare Center manager was able to get the bolt back in and stated the tech didn't know how to line up the threads properly. However they had the audacity to add a note to my receipt stating the bolt and oil pan were damaged and needed to be inspected. I do not recommend this location to anyone and the service at any others are now suspect to me. Be cautious if you choose to visit this location. It is definitely my last time!!! read more

First off, I don't know who designed the parking lot but they had to have been on drugs. I mean, a Walmart is a Walmart. I've never been to a Walmart that I would consider to be a "nice" Walmart so my bar is really low. In typical "Walmart" fashion if you come too late in the evening you will most likely encounter an indescribable freakshow that will haunt your dreams for years to come. The one time I shopped here really late at night I was actually surprised that I made it out sane, safe and alive. The minute you pull into the maze of a parking lot it's like you're instantly transported to an alternate dimension where dirty is clean, where teeth are few and far between, where the largest person you've ever seen is trying on bikinis with the curtain open! And where the employees seem to be the most unhappy people earth. But hey, at least they're rolling back prices! Thanks China! read more

When I shop at Walmart, I never go in with very high expectations. So to me, the worst part of this store is the drudgery known as the parking lot. I don't understand it. If you don't get one of the 20 or so "front" parking spots, prepare to experience entropy at its finest. The store is massive, so if you need several items from different departments, you may be there a while. On a brighter note, they do have self-checkouts. This is noteworthy as most Walmart's are known for having 1,000 checkout lines where usually 1 or 2 are actually staffed. 3 stars because I would much rather come to this location than "scary Walmart" on Harding. read more

It is to a place that I just don't want to go to any more. I go in shop, go to checkout and this is what has happened in the past, place my debit card into their reader follow necessary prompts and card is declined. Then I have to do that two more times with the same result and the fourth time, slide my card and it works, until today. Today I inserted a MasterCard gift card, again three times not approved, then swiped, still not approved so the manager had me manually input numbers and again declined. So I moved to my personal debit card and that whole not approved process continued as with the MasterCard gift card. The manager, and I know he did not mean any disrespect, asked me are you sure you have the money in the bank to cover this cost and I said yes I have money in the bank to cover this and more if I needed it. So I had to call my husband to come and bring me the cash. Here is the the not so funny side, after I finished my Walmart purchase I went down the road to buy dinner at a drive thru before heading home and my debit card worked like a charm with no issues at all. My husband says it is Walmart's equipment as this happens ALL to often. The credit/debit card readers at Walmart look like they have seen their last days. This is the worst Walmart in my area. The Auto department closes at 7pm. I got there at 5pm and was told they didn't have any staff to do a oil change. They open at 7am. I got there a 6:45am and waiting for them to open just for them to say they still didn't have techs to do a oil change. So basically they have ppl clocked in just to turn ppl away. Anyway, so I go to this one for kicks and giggles. I walk up to to the jewelry counter and the lady was VERY helpful and nice. She did remove the link and didn't charge ma a thing...and... Even apologized for the other experience I had at the other store. Wow...I was blown away. The Optical center at the Springfield location is a total ripoff and a con IMO. as soon as the clerk found out I had $450 on insurance to spend he went to work with his little calculator for 20 min while I sat there, giving me no options or telling me what the hell he was doing. Then when the bill was wY beyond that he was cryptic about the charges then finally admitted he used items from FIVE years ago to come up with a price for my glasses! Then had the nerve to try and sell me sunglasses for $250. A total hustle and when I confronted him he didn't even en defend himself. Go somewhere else. In an effort to sum up my review in the first sentence for those with short attention spans, this Walmart (slightly melodramatically) will ruin your life. Ok, maybe just your entire day. I specifically do not shop at Walmart for personal reasons but came here with a friend one day. I would be lying if I said the customer service is terrible because it simply DOES NOT EXIST at this particular store. My friend was trying to find a specific item that he found online and the website said it was available in-store only. So off we go... I did not have high expectations, but I at least expected someone...anyone...to be able to offer assistance. NOPE. After about 35 minutes of wandering the store (we even split up to search in separate directions to find an associate) I went back to the front service desk and the woman simply paged a "CA" to the department where our item was supposed to be. So what? We're supposed to go stand in a random spot in that department and hope that the associate finds us? I knew this wasn't going to end well. Sure enough, no one came. One guy in a Walmart uniform walked past us, but was pretending to be talking on his cell phone so that customers would not approach him. A few minutes later we saw another employee and we asked him "excuse me sir, do your work here?" he never made eye contact, threw his hand up as if he was shooing us away, and said rather aggressively "yeah but I'm on break!" Moving on... We finally found a third employee who attempted to help us but seemed annoyed by the task. At first he tried to pawn us off to a different department but we knew that the item was not located there, so we weren't falling for it. So, he walked us over to the electronics section and started doing who knows what on the computer while we stood there waiting. 20 minutes later he just walks away and never comes back. Uh...where did he go? Never saw him again. This is exactly why I am willing to spend more money to shop at Target. In my humble opinion, save yourself the frustration and avoid this Walmart. read more

We call this the Racist Walmart if your white you can expect your receipt to be checked at the door and their not just checking your receipt they go as far as taking every item out of your shopping bags and place it on the floor...if you look around they're not stopping anyone else. I had a black cashier tell me to wait and had the black lady behind me go in front of me ..he said " we gotta take care of our own" ...really ?! The parking at the Wal-mart is like an Escher print. There's a creek running through the parking lot -- well, a creek in a gully that the parking lot was built over and around. The net results is, there are rarely any spots wtihin 100 yards of the door. They do have "valet parking" but I just can't deal with the juxtapostion of valet and wal-mart! read more

I was in this Walmart today (June 3, 2015) at approximately 3:25pm. I was returning some baby items that were gifts from my wife's shower. The items were duplicate gifts, and diapers that were not our brand. There was no line at the customer service area, and I was called to the desk be the customer service rep immediately. I told her that I'd like to return these gifts from my wife's baby shower. She asked me if I had a receipt, and I explained that I did not. She immediately changed Walmart customer service policy and said that I could not get a gift card refund or any refund. I asked if Walmart's return policy had changed in the last few months and she said that the return policy was the same as when she started one year ago...the cashier next to her back her up on her statement. I was starting to get upset because I knew for a a fact that she was lying to me. So I asked for a manager. When the manager arrived, he asked to see my ID and he immediately had my refund processed and added to a gift card....the cashier was very rude and treated me as if I stole the merchandise .
