With how many times I've been there, I think that is a great record. The store is always clean, same with the restrooms. Their hot food at lunch is sometimes burned so don't buy any if it is wrapped up to where you can't see it. I really hate that after 10pm all they have open are self checks. Kroger prices are higher than Walmart and that is fine because you are paying for a better experience, but that includes not checking myself out. Lines are usually short when I shop.

I went further to explore the source and bought at both Meijer in Lexington and Sav a lot in Winchester. Neither had that smell. I bought again in Mt Sterling a couple of weeks later. It still had a smell. I even asked a close neighbor if they detected a smell. They agreed with me. I went back to the store. The manager went into a frenzy of complaints that I was the only complaint. I believe one customer should be enough . Look, I've owned a restaurant. I know accidents happen. I was trying to explain how it could have happened that a fluid could l d have spilled on their plastic wrap, but l just wanted to ask they investigate such a possibility further. Instead the manager flailed dismissive derogatory comments with money returned. How many people would make 3 trips to the store to try to help resolve a problem? I did, but this manager couldn't see that deeply. It's no wonder people stop trying to make a difference.

With the coronovirus advisories to avoid crowds, this week I tried two Kroger offerings that were…read morenew to me: (1) pick up ordering and (2) home delivery. They both worked great. For the pickup, my only problem was finding the pickup spot (it's behind the pharmacy pickup window....on the south wall of the building); the clerk delivered the bags to my car and gave me a receipt clearly denoting what was there and what was out of stock. Good service! Only added cost would have been approx $5 but waived for first few orders. For the delivery, the system sent me status when the picking began, updated on every item not in stock and offered substitutes for my response. Actual delivery was within 15 minutes of my request and very pleasant delivery person. Only added cost was approx $9 for pick and deliver. These are two excellent services and others should try....especially if you're ill, homebound, or if you're trapped in a pandemic!

On top of that, they have 10 for $10 sales all the time. I shop here randomly for canned goods or times when I don't wish to fight the crowds at Walmart. The store is usually really clean and uncluttered. The staff here are really helpful and friendly. Really a down home shopping store.
