I ended up buying my daughters dress in Covington, but I decided that I wanted to buy the veil somewhere local. This wedding dress shop is in the Warehouse district, in an old factory. We arrived a bit earlier than the appointment, so we waited in the front seating area. The lady who assisted us was very nice and knowledgeable. I even unexpectedly tried on a few mother of the bride dresses from their brides maid dress collection upstairs. It was still early on, and I didn't end up going with any of those choices, but I appreciated that it taught me what I wanted and what to look for the next time.They registered our top choices in their database, and we didn't feel pressured at all. Later we called to see what the designer the veil that she chose was, and the gentleman stated that he wasn't sure how to find that in their system. We actually ended up buying what was similar, or possibly the same veil, in Covington for more money and better customer service.

Like most dress shops, Twirl requires that you schedule an appointment, in order for you to have the full attention and help from one of the bridal consultants. Emily helped me, and she was great! I didn't really have any specifics in mind, and she helped me narrow it down to the style that I liked, and eventually we found the perfect dress! My mom and sister were able to join me as well, which made the experience 100x better. The shop is on Clay Avenue and has a very strong "pink & girly" vibe which I felt right at home in. Twirl writes the names of girls who have dress appointments on a "Welcome" sign on their front porch- a nice touch. Twirl also has a great instagram account which is how I found out that they've recently started a podcast as well- catered mostly towards a bridal audience.
