I cannot believe how utterly incompetent and uncaring Walmart is. I needed a couch by 10/10/25 and tried placing my order on 10/4/25 and 10/5/25 -- but surprise, surprise, Walmart canceled my order not once, but THREE times. I'm a California resident trying to buy a couch for my elderly dad who is a Louisiana resident, is 88, has had surgery recently, is battling cancer, and was living in deplorable living conditions. I went through all the security hoops to verify my identity, jumped through every possible hoop, and still couldn't get my order processed. I spoke to TWO Walmart agents, explained the situation in detail -- that I was urgently trying to help my dad get new furniture and a decent living environment -- but they couldn't care less. One agent even assured me the issue was fixed, only for the order to be canceled again. I escalated my concerns, got promises of help, but nothing ever came. No callbacks, no follow-up, no accountability. Frustrated and fed up, I had no choice but to buy the same couch elsewhere -- and paid four times what I would have at Walmart. That's right, Walmart's incompetence cost me a fortune and would have left my dad in the same sorry state. Walmart's unprofessional conduct, lack of communication, and complete disregard for customer needs are beyond disappointing. I needed to use the dressing rooms to try on an outfit. The lady stopped me and asked me how much I had and I told her. She told me she could tell I was trying to sneak in a swim suit. Mind you, I just had it in my hand I had no idea that it wasn't allowed. She starts talking to me very rudely for no reason. After I got inside, I tried on an outfit. I walked out so my friend could see and the lady goes "You can't walk out looking like that." Best believe I put my clothes back on, bought nothing, and ran to yelp. There is absolutely no reason why you should be making comments to me and treating me in such a way when I am here to give service. Workers are rude and you cannot try on swim wear. Finally got it right, after traveling all over the US, and having had needed to go to many stores, feeling envious of what they had, beautifully organized, well stocked, friendly and easy to check out stores. This one was the worst! But now? FINALLY, feel like I'm in one of those other stores only now in my hometown. Love it! Only thing, the parking lot, lacks better organization. Need a road in the middle to go across more easily with stop signs. So hard to make a left turn to use roadway provided. People drive over the parking spaces because it's quicker, instead of going ALL THE WAY TO END ON LANE, to get in or out. Almost got run into so many times. Not safe. Thank you Walmart. read more

I have a love-hate relationship with Walmart and right now, it's alot of hate! Going there is an adventure...why? 1) It will take you forever to find that last thing on your shopping list. 2) Can you even find parking? Would it have been better to have walked there? 3) There are always long lines and never enough cashiers/ self-checkout kiosks. 4) There's no such thing as a quick trip to Walmart...expect to be there a minimum of 20 mins!!! 5) You always walk out with more than you originally wanted to buy. But on a plus side....you are bound to run into at least one person that you know :) read more

I don't usually give really bad reviews but today is an exception. It is March 7 at 7:25 AM 2022. I went to electronics looking for an OtterBox case for iPhone 11 Pro and a very nice young man help me and we looked through the case and couldn't find one. I asked him was it possible for him to check for availability at the West Monroe store and he said no ma'am he wish he could but he couldn't. So I get on my iPhone Walmart app as I'm leaving the store and it says they have them in stock here. I go back in the electronics dept but the young man isn't there but there's an older lady working behind the counter. I say ma'am I looked on your Walmart app and it says you have IPhone 11 Pro cases in stock. She said didn't that man help you? I told her he did, but I said maybe there's something on the wrong hook in front of them. She argued and was rude and didn't want to check so I insisted and after seeing I wasn't going to let this go, she let me check. There were 5 of them in stock, someone put the wrong case in front of them. I thanked her for her time and told here there's 4 more in stock in case anyone else needs one and left. You would think that lady got paid to be rude. I only wish she had a name tag on so I could post on here. I left the date and time so if the company is interested they can look her up. read more

I was looking for new tires on my 97 Ford Ranger yes its old but its a Sunday and Walmart is open. The tire center wont even look at my car because the cant figure out how to open the driver side door. I showed them just pull the handle. Went to the Walmart automotive center to get a battery placed at 1 p.m. Was told it would take five hours to replace a battery. I was told they close at 6 p.m. And they would not be able to replace my battery. What needs to be replaced is the employees. read more

I'm standing at the isle in the automotive section looking at the portable jumpers/air compressor and I had to move them so I could read the information on the different ones. While I'm standing there reading and trying to decide which one I'm going to get, a sales person comes up and right in front of me as I'm reading puts everything back in order on the shelf and walks off. I had moved them so I could read the information on them. And she comes and moved then back in place with me standing there! Really! I guess that was more important than a customer standing there trying to make a decision on which one to buy. Since that was more important to the employee than making a sell, I left and will not be buying one from Walmart. This is the reason I rarely step foot in Walmart. I moved to Monroe from Austin TX. I had a shock when went in and shopped at the Louisville Store. All the employee are just standing around talking to each other. The bathrooms are always filthy. No paper in the stalls. Floor nasty. No one momentum or Drive to what to be courteous to customers. I have been in Monroe for 3 years now. Every visit is the same rudeness until today. My 5 stars are not for the store but for one employee that helped me. Her name is Katie. I was looking for some bleaching lotion for my Husband skin that the Dr. recommended. I saw Katie stocking in the Pharmacy area. and she said the she wasnt sure but to talk to the Pharmacist. Then she said thank you for shopping at Walmart. I told her i was very impressed with her as an employee. I also said no one has said that to me since i had Been shopping there for the last 3 years. I went to the pharmacy and they told me to go to cosmetics . I went there and no one was there to help me, I walked around for awhile looking for the product. I looked up and there was Katie (The Employee). She had went and found another employee that knew the cosmetics and help me find the cream i needed . Katie also said that when i was shopping if i needed any more help she would be glad to help me. My rating for this store "NO STARS" at all. It would be sub stars if you had that. The Monroe Supercenter is the filthiest store in town...tonight there was raw meat on the floor in front of the gourmet meats section. There was trash all over the entire store floor. And the carts were disgusting filthy. But that is WONDERFUL compared to the extreme hatred in the eyes of every employee except the greeter. I made it a point to smile and speak to each employee during the hour I was there (at least 10 employees) and not one of them responded or did anything but glare at me. I honestly felt threatened by their attitude. Scary bunch of people. read more

I was in this Walmart last night and there were two watches in the jewelry counter that I wanted to buy. The cashier told me there was no one there that could unlock the jewelry counter to sell me the watches. Why are they open 24 hours if you can't buy merchandise in the store all 24 hours. I don't think I have ever been in the store when it was clean neat and fully stocked, I usually drive to the west Monroe Walmart to do my shopping. I just called this location a few minutes ago to see if there was someone there that could sell me the watches now, it rang 32 times and no answer so I hung up, this is not a good store to shop at. 0/10 would not recommend. Went there today to find an Ozark Trail 30 oz tumbler for my husband's birthday. When I checked online, the site said that this store had them in stock. So I looked. And I looked. And looked. I took a break to catch a Tauros on PokemonGo. And then I looked some more. But there was still no tumbler to be found. There were also no Walmart associates to be found to even ask for help. Plus the cart I was using was terrible and made my baby cry. No joke. I decided to sit down and get online so I could order the Ozark Trail 30 oz tumbler for in-store pickup BECAUSE IT WAS IN STOCK. But could I pick it up while I was there? No. The email I got said it would be ready by 8:45. So now I have to go back tomorrow and get it. If you're going to go to Walmart, don't go to this one. The service offers at this Walmart is so horrible I wonder how it's even allowed to be apart of the chain! Employees are so rude with the exception of the female cashiers in the garden center. There are never enough registers open and management is non existent unless you can tell someone from their home office must be around. Where to begin. Rarely did I ever enter this store. Now I avoid it at all costs. The last few times I had been here (each visit being months apart), there was an extremely foul smell in the dairy section. I have a strong stomach, but this was strong enough I had to leave the area. It smelled of rotten eggs and spoiled milk. The straw that broke the camel's back. I had a substantial buggy load. Unfortunately, the shortest line was in the self-checkouts. They have all of these lanes, but only a few were open (it was like this just about every time I have been in there). Lines extended into the ladies' clothes department. I was waiting in line at one self-checkout for about 10 minutes when a woman at another self-checkout completed her transaction and left. There were two women in front of me behind a couple with a large buggy load and taking forever. The woman in front of me, Person A, quickly moved to the self-checkout that was just freed up. She has a decent amount with her. I waited a couple of minutes to see how fast she was going to check out versus the couple I and Person B were standing behind. Nearing the end of Person A's transaction, I moved my buggy to wait behind her. She finished about 5 minutes later. I thus began my lengthy process of checking out. I scanned and bagged some items when Person B appeared "Miss, I've been waiting. I need to use this more than you." I simply apologized and told her I already have five bags worth scanned. Before either of us could say more, the employee working the self-checkout area walked over and cancelled my transaction. She then told me to move to the back of the line or be escorted out of the store. I left my buggy load right here and left under my own accord. I tried bringing this to the attention of managers and higher-ups. I was ignored each time. read more

One of the worst Walmart stores I have ever been to and that's saying something. I am not from Monroe, but I was in town for work. The cashier in the 20 items or less let a woman and man with a buggy full of items in the line. I waited patiently behind them, then turned to look at the gum and candy on display. When I turned back, another man was standing in front of my cart, having cut in line. I was polite and pointed out that he had not been in the line before. The cashier and woman in front of me heard what I said, then the woman told the man to go in front of her, and the cashier did and said nothing. It was very obvious that it was racially motivated as I was the odd man out. I reported it to the manager but there was nothing she could do other than say the cashier should not have let that happen. I try to treat other folks like I would like to be treated, and it is sad that people have to act this way when I would have let them go in front of me I they had just asked rather than being a jerk about it. read more
