It's a stuff-mart. They always have just about one of everything. Hate that they don't have mini checkers and you're expected to go through the self check out lines and take away peoples jobs. Stood at the bakery counter for 30 minutes at 4pm waiting for my cake to pick up that I order several days in advance, no one even acknowledged me eventually I was told no one was working by the deli worker and she wouldn't get my cake for me. read more

I don't shop at Walmart often because, well...usually they are filthy, etc. However, I am highly impressed with Marshfield's store. 1. It was VERY CLEAN, items were stocked nicely, and well stocked. There were not clothes laying on the floor when I walked through the women's department either. 2. The employees looked presentable and were kind and helpful. 3. There were checkouts actually open and they were not all self check outs. Overall, this is one of the cleanest and most pleasant Walmart stores I've shopped at. Minnesota Walmart (Eden Prairie I'm looking at you) could take a few notes from this store. Thank you, I will shop here if needed each time I come back to visit my hometown. read more

This store is ridiculous. It feels like your draped once you pass the electric door that is in only not an exit. They make you have to wait thru line to leave even without buying anything. I stopped in to find a back to school list which they don't have. And had to ask someone how to leave the store. I felt like I was trapped against my will. And everyone is so rude there. They are the worst store in Marshfield to shop at. If I could I'd leave negative stars. read more

I bought a couple DVD's from Wal-Mart's "bargain bin" last week. I finally sat down to watch one last weekend. The disk stopped half-way through the movie. I went to "scene selections" and half the movie was missing. The disk was not burned correctly and defective. So... I went to Wal-Mart last night after work to return it. Should not be a problem, right? WRONG! The girl at the courtesy desk very curtly told me she would NOT refund me, only an exchange (citing copyright laws). Seriously!? WTH am I going to do with HALF a movie!? I (somewhat reluctantly) walked to the back of the store, dug through the "bargain bin" and finally found another copy. I asked the girl if someone could test the disk for me before I left to ensure I didn't get another defective one. "Oh no - we can't do that!" I went home, and immediately popped the disk into my DVD player... and same defect. I went back to Wal-Mart and waited in line... again. I told the girl the "replacement" has the same defect and requested a refund. She refused again. I asked for a manager. A girl in a yellow vest came over - a "customer service manager" or CSM (pretty low level). I explained with two defective disks in a row, I think they got a bad shipment. She also refused to refund me, so I asked to speak to the manager. She told me she's not here tonight. So I asked for her superior. She called an assistant manager called Sean down. I heard her tell him as they walked over "We've already refused it twice." I gave Sean the lowdown and again requested a refund. He also refused. I became a little hot under the collar and said I should not be forced to keep a defective item. The CSM kept answering for him as we tried to talk, so I finally looked at her and told her "I'm talking to him." Sean finally told the girls to just do it and refund me, but the girls protested claiming "the computer won't even let us!" (They didn't even try). Then Sean offered a gift card and the girls protested again saying a gift card has to be a minimum of $5 (My "bargain DVD" was $3.75). I again said I just want a refund for the defective product. They still refused and asked if I wanted to pick out a completely different movie instead. Um... no, and what was that about copyright laws? They finally and very curtly told me I'd have to call 1-800-WALMART for customer assistance. I told them this is ridiculous and should be able to be resolved quickly in the store. So... I call 1-800-WALMART (sigh... yes, it gets better) and I get a girl with such a thick foreign accent I can't understand her. I told her several times I can NOT understand her, so she hangs up on me! Yep - I'm pretty hot now! I call back, and thankfully get a girl who speaks very clear, fluent English (Yay!). I explain what happened and tell her I was advised to call her for help. She sighs and says "Yeah... I don't know why they do that. The manager has to approve the return." She offers to have the store manager call me within 3 business days, but said she'd escalate it so it hopefully wouldn't take that long. I asked if she could get the store on the line now, and she agreed. After holding for several minutes... Sean is on the line. He kind of sheepishly claims "the policy changed" and claims he was not aware of it and apologizes. I ask if I can finally get my $3.75 back now. He says yes. Naturally I have to go back to Wal-Mart a THIRD time because they can't do a refund over the phone. I complained about all the run around and hassle, so he offers a $10 gift card as consolation. Fine... whatever. I got back to Wal-Mart and the same girl is still there. She refunds me (imagine that - the computer let her after all!) in cash, although I paid with my debit card and wanted it back on the card but - "We can't do that" ... Wow... no one at Wal-Mart seems to know what they're doing. And to argue with a customer over returning a defective $3.75 item is just asinine! Not the first issue I've had with Wal-Mart, but it WILL be the last! Total 3 trips to Wal-Mart, 2 phone calls, and 2 hours before Wal-Mart FINALLY did the right thing. I'm boycotting Wal-Mart. read more

In July of 2014; I purchased a new drivers side front tire for my 2004 Yukon. There were (2) people working in the service bay. It took them 50 minutes to replace (1) tire and they did that wrong. One of the guys spent at least 20 minutes complaining that he was not "Walmart Certified" and he had been repairing cars for over 20 years; the tire blew out 6 months later. LOCATION: Wal-Mart Supercenter - Tire & Lube Express 2001 N Central Ave, Marshfield, WI 54449 Ph. (715) 486-9440 On January 23, 2015 that same tire that I purchased in July of 2014 had a blowout on the expressway. My family and I were traveling from Wisconsin to Illinois. After contacting roadside assistance they put on our spare but closest location to purchase another tire was the Walmart in Plover, WI (store #01828). We were told that just the problem tire could not be replaced, but that all (4) tires had to be replaced because they were different sizes. I told them to replace all the tires and put the best tire in the spare rim. They said they could not do that because it was against Walmart policy. LOCATION: Walmart Supercenter - Tire & Lube Express 250 Crossroads Dr, Plover, WI 54467 Ph. (715) 345-7855 We continued our trip to Illinois, after stopping for gas we noticed the front driver side tire was low. I called the service center in Plover, WI and told them the tire was low. They said the tire regulation said it should be at 32 psi, I told them the instructions on the tire stated 51 psi. We drove a little further and noticed the tire was almost flat. We filled the tire to 42 psi and had to continue filling the tire every hour until we reached out destination. Basically we spent the next 3 hours nursing this brand new tire. The next day we told our Yukon to a local service center. After inspecting the tire (and the other 3 to be safe) they determined the cause of the problem was an improper bead seal on the rim and tire stem. This was performed at the Plover, WI location was the reason for the continue leaking tire. It was a $25.00 fix. Two incompetent Walmart locations. read more

I'm highly upset! Your network for Walmart to Walmart is always down. I went in at 9:30 PM on 8/7/19. I needed that money to get to Minnesota due to my dad being in the hospital unresponsive. I was unable to be by my dads side. I called @ 5:15 am twice to see if the network is up and running both times the phone rang for almost 2 minutes without anyone answering. This is very frustrating!! read more

This walmart's aisles are pretty spacious and overall the place is clean for as many people who flow through it on a daily basis.
