I had them install 4 TPMS on my SUV. The techs machine that puts the tires back on the wheels accidentally punctured the side wall. Tire dept manager, Stephan Jackson said that they'd replace the exact tire for free, but it would need to be ordered. Or they would put on a different brand they had on hand. I ask if they'd throw in the labor on the TPMS, since this was going to delayed me on other things I needed to do this day. Stephanie's manager, Megan Willaims agreed. I frequent many Walmart stores and this location is my favorite to visit. With the closing of the Richmond Rd Walmart, I've recognized that some of the employees have transferred to this location. Always nice to see a recognizable face. This location is next to Lowe's (my go-to store for home improvement) and is always nice and clean. Since I've been drinking more water, I've visited the restrooms here on more than one occasion and they were very in decent shape. I like to get craft items, shoes, pet supplies, and deli/bakery items here. Recently, I've discovered that they make cheese sticks and I've tried them several times. I rarely ever go to Walmart so I wasn't aware of their new in-store pick-up. The pick up is VERY easy. First, place your order online then wait for the email saying your order is ready. In the store, the pick-up area is can't miss. It's literally a giant column with pick-up on the side. Just scan the barcode from your email and out pops what you ordered. There's usually an employee here to help you out. This Walmart is ALWAYS busy, at least to me. Parking, of course, is plentiful and it's in a uber convenient location. As I said before, I rarely go here, but this experience was quick and easy. read more

This Walmart Supercenter is pretty good. The store is organized and clean, and all of the self check-outs were working, though they didn't have many cashier check-outs available. I visited this location with my cousin and we were both able to find everything we were looking for. Overall it was a fine shopping experience. Again, I'm super disappointed in this location. There was only 1 checkout lane that was backed up and curved around - I didn't use self checkout this time because of the issues with the scanner last time. I walked over to customer service to see uf another lane could be opened, there was a person standing at the counter that identified herself as a manager, she rudely asked what was the problem, i asked again if another lane could be opened (I had already stood in line 15 minutes and was still the 5th person in line) she stated that self checkout is available, I asked why couldn't another lane be opened, no one wanted to use that service. I stated the cashier Bhava (nice lady) needed help. There were plenty of staff walking around. Again, the manager rudely responded with, she was not opening another lane and that self checkout is available, she was not helpful or courteous. Customer service should come first. She could have had customers checkout at the service desk, there were no customers, and they were standing around doing nothing. As a manager, you should use your critical thinking skills. So, my quest for donuts makes me be required to try donuts from grocery stores to see if I am missing out on anything unique and interesting. I went to Wal-Mart, and it might shock you, but they're just generic donuts. The donuts that I thought were the best of their donuts were their chocolate and blueberry cakes. They were soft, not hard and had a good flavor to them. The sour cream donut I bought and a very strong sour cream flavor and I could barely finish the bite I had. The caramel glazed donuts had a burnt caramel flavor and wasn't too pleasing on the palette. The raspberry filled had a good amount of raspberry in it, unlike the cream filled long john, which didn't have much, and the cream tasted too sweet. Overall just a basic donut, nothing fancy, but nothing too bad, just stay away from their caramel frosted donuts. read more

I was searching online for some COVID supplies and found them at this Walmart, so I placed my order for pickup and drove out to Hamburg. I was somewhat confused about how to go about picking up my items and called when I arrived at the store. There is an orange tower just inside the Market entrance, and it's completely mechanized. You scan the barcode in your order, the door opens, and it slides out. 1-2-3 easy and no human contact. This is a large Walmart appears very busy. It's out of my area, so only in certain instances would I use it. read more

Been using Walmart grocery pickup for 6 years now. I've been sitting here waiting for over 30 min. Guy beside me was here when I arrived. I've never seen anything like this in my life. Totally defeats the whole quickness of online shopping. Called no answer. Update: 65 minutes. That's how long I waited. There were 3-4 employees working. Spending no more than 5 min per car, with only 14 spots. So I'm not sure how the math breaks down that in an HOURs time they only saw maybe 6 cars. That's 30 min per car. AVOID THIS WAL-MART VEHICLE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT ALL COSTS. I wish I could give them zero stars. 2350 Grey Lag Way Road, Lexington, KY 40509 To begin, my wife purchased a set of black Friday deal tires (Goodyear Reliant 50k) from walmart.com to be delivered to the store. I scheduled the install and brought in the vehicle. After waiting 2 hours for the install, I realize they put the wrong tires on. This, after I verified the tires with the cashier BEFORE the service. The tires they installed were $200 cheaper for a set and a lower grade (Douglas AS 45k) I should have made them install the correct tires but honestly after 2 hours, I just wanted to get out of there ASAP and asked for the difference back. After walking back and forth between the service dept and the service deak, I come to find out they refunded the tires they installed but not the ones we purchased online...what?!?!? The associate (Melinda D.) was less than friendly and attempted to gaslight me into believing this was MY fault. In addition, Melinda wouldn't lift a finger to help and kept wanting me to call my wife, so she could 'verify' the correct tires. It was ridiculous. The arrogance and attitude I was receiving made me even angrier. I demanded to speak to a manager who eventually removed the service fees for installing the wrong tires but began getting pissy about refunding the tires they were supposed to install. Honestly, I gave up because this manager wasn't the brightest bulb and you could tell he didn't care. After the service fees were removed, the difference was only around $20 anyways. They also neglected to set the tpms sensor which is a standard service. I will never have my vehicles serviced here again for anything. Complete incompetence. read more

Evidently, management does not do very good job, no matter the day or time, in educating employees on mask wearing. Every single cashier, and floor worker I saw, (9) barely had mouth covered, and all had noses hanging out. One sneezed! We left, just left our things, and went shopping in a much safer store. It's sad Walmart doesn't care about their employees health and educate them. Like my neighbor said, and he's a doctor, it all boils down to to the bottom line, making a profit. This is one of six Lexington Walmart locations. This one is the Hamburg location. I find myself in the area often, and the location near my house isn't my favorite location, so I'll stop by here from time to time. It's next door to Lowes, so if you're looking for something for home improvement and Walmart doesn't have it, just skip over to Lowes. They have a bakery and a deli and pretty much anything thing that you need when it comes to simple food. They also price match, so if it's on sale somewhere else, and you have proof that it's the exact item, they will sell it to you for the same price. I've never had an issue or experienced bad customer service here. One time, a few years ago, I tried to come here on Black Friday and there were so many people and the lines were so disorganized, that I left and went to the dreadful Walmart near my house. At that one, the lines were much shorter. I wouldn't say that it was less crowded though, they just organized the traffic much better at the other location. read more

Effective 7/26/2015 this Walmart will no longer be 24 hours. So I guess the semi trucks and RVs that converted the Parkin lot into a truck stop will have to find a new hang out. Walmart is like McDonald's no matter how bad the service or experience you still have to go. Every human that I know have complaints about Walmart, but they all go back at least 2 times per week. This Walmart confuses me. Today I purchased some body wash and water pick (braces) and each item contained a hi tech alarm type device on it. I don't have a problem with that cause loss prevention cost company millions. My issues is after it was removed it still cause the embarrassing alarm to go off. Here is the kicker I was expecting some elite SWAT team to pounce on me with guns and tasers but no one even acknowledged the alarm. If you are not going to acknowledge an alarm why not save money on the alarm and stay open 24-7. Just my 2 cents read more

When you order something for curbside pickup AND you get a text stated that your order is READY you should NOT have to wait an HOUR and 15 minutes. Called the number to say I was there and it went to VM, check in online. Called again and spoke with someone and was told my order would be out in 5 minutes, 15 minutes later, I called again. Other people that came AFTER me got there orders. Called again and was told 5 minutes AGAIN. And after 1 HOUR and 15 minutes I FINALLY got my order. Yes. 1.25 HOURS. That is NOT acceptable. If you receive a text that something is READY, it should be ready. This is NOT good customer service. read more

Having a tire blowout over 300 miles away from home on a holiday weekend is probably one thing no one wants to deal with while on a road trip, however, it was something I got to experience first-hand this last Memorial Day. Not wanting to drive home on a spare tire, I decided that I needed to start calling around to see if anyone could help replace my tire with something a little more suitable for highway travel. After placing several calls I quickly learned that this was going to be more difficult than I had expected, that is until I caved in and called Wal-Mart, who not only had a tire in my size they also had immediate availability. I arrived at Wal-Mart about 9:30 am and within 35 minutes my tire was replaced and I was on my way back home. The service here was great, however, the tire selection was a bit limited it was enough to get me back home and give me some time to reconsider replacing all four with something a little better. Overall I wouldn't usually think of Wal-Mart for automotive services, however, in a pinch they delivered excellent customer service all at a reasonable price. read more

If you plan on visiting the liquor store owned by Walmart in Hamburg be aware. You will be carded if you are with someone buying liquor. I went in with my husband so he could pick up some wine. We are both over 70 with gray hair. When we got to the check out the employee who's name is Julie asked for both our ID's. I wasn't buying the liquor. When I told her that she said you touched it. I did help my husband unload the cart. I refused . We should have walked out and went to Total wine. That is were my husband usually shops. We just happened to be in Walmart and decided to stop in the liquor store. That was a mistake. I called corporate office and also the mgr. of Walmart. The mgr. said it was there policy to card everyone in the group even if only one is buying. I won't be back because it makes no sense to me. read more

Don't stop in at this Walmart often but when in Lexington Kentucky and on the east side we stopped here it is a large Walmart with whatever you want it is clean and convenient considering it is in Lexington Kentucky it's a little out of the way but yet easy to get to parking could be better with a larger lot because they are always busy the cashiers are open more than one like in most Walmarts so I do recommend here in town and on the east side down by Hamburg place stop in to this one read more

As far as Wal-Marts go, I feel this is the best one in Lexington. I always seem to find more items here. They tend to carry a larger selection of items. I searched all over town looking for My little pony invitations. Party City was out but carried them online. WM on new circle had nothing . They seem to carry a better selection of toys as well. read more

This has been the best Walmart in town for a long time. A welcoming beige and faux stone exterior that set it apart from other Walmarts, a clean interior, well-stocked with what I needed even on Sundays after the weekend rush, and plenty of checkouts with fast and friendly cashiers. It always bugged me that they only put cart returns on every other aisle and that they weren't open 24/7, but the convenience of the location to where I live and the factors I listed above made it a great store to shop at. But lately corporate switched it to mostly self-checkout , downsized staff, they're painting the outside their corporate bird poop grey making it an eyesore in the area, and still no cart returns on the inbound parking lanes. What once was a great store is sadly becoming just another Walmart. read more

I would definitely say this is one of the better Walmarts in our area. It's mildly new, moderately clean, and somewhat slow for a Walmart (albeit, not very slow). The only reason I don't shop there more often is that it isn't close to me and, well, it's Walmart. You can expect to find a lot of things for cheap, but not a lot of customer service. I'll stick to Aldi's unless I'm looking for something a little less run-of-the-mill, thanks. Also, if you look in the very back of their parking lot there's a stairwell you can take down to a very small park leading to a horse graveyard. Oddly enough, it makes a great place to propose to your significant other. Trust me, I know from experience. read more

This was in my opinion one of the better Walmart's to go to in the area. But over the past few months I've been very dissatisfied with my visits. A lot of the produce I've noticed is either missing or badly damaged, bruised, Etc. The fresh chicken breast has been really subpar as well. And of course, very often what you need is not stock on the Shelf weather fresh, frozen, or packaged food. They really need to up their game if they want to keep my business. The store was nice but the workers are rude and lazy. I asked 3 employees for help on locating an item they all three sent me to different places. And they were all wrong. One lady told me they didn't have something just so she didn't have to bother helping me and I ended up finding it minutes later. This Walmart really needs to work on there customer service. My favorite Wal-Mart for sure! In Lexington, it's the best one for sure! It makes sense where everything is, is clean, and the newest of all in Lexington... Overall the employees are nice. There is one worker that I avoid like the plague, she is an older African American lady who I have seen checking people out sitting on a stool. She is the worst employee they have!!! I have had too many run ins with her... She does not represent the customer is always right policy and she has a major attitude, but I won't base the review solely on her foolishness, so is why I gave it a four star rating, but should they choose to let her go, I will absolutely update to FIVE STARS, no question!!! Went I at 11 pm granted its late but it's Walmart in Lexington so it's still busy. They had 2 lanes open with like 20 ppl waiting in line I went to self check out they were closing it and sending the worker to open a 3rd lane with like 5 more customers walking up. Literally only went in for milk and several people had 1-2 items but it takes 20 minutes in line. Either hire more people or keep self service open longer!!!! read more
