The premade dishes looked perfect for Thanksgiving sides. Each Costco has the third party vendors who want to sell you something. It looks like they have to remain right by their station, making them easy to avoid. The clothing section wasn't very interesting. Hubby saw a battery operated warming vest that he liked. The decorative paper plates were a great idea for holiday gatherings (inexpensive too). The self check out was a breeze. My favorite item was the frozen pretzel, a reminder of a wonderful Lancaster weekend.

You have not stayed competitive..... when you can find better prices at Wegmans and Giant for certain things, it's a huge sign of trouble. Employees are certainly not as friendly and helpful and definitely not enough cashiers for the amount of customers you have. I want to continue to support, but when I have to sift through a lot of low quality products to find the few great deals you still have, it's simply not worth it. I'm more shocked at some of your pricing than Giant. Disappointed. At least train your employees to be better and support them if you must.

Overall I think this store is expensive, but I do patronize it from time to time…read more I once saw a picture of a frame on Pinterest and had to have it. The link led nowhere. Thru a Google image search I discovered the product originated from Bed, Bath, and Beyond (BBB). At that point I had no idea how old the image was. When I called the local store they were very helpful and were able to not only find the product, and it was on clearance, but also honor the coupon I had from a magazine for an additional 20% AND even put the item back till I could pick it up - score! This was my first BBB experience and my first trip ever to the store. As a fan of Shark Tank I like that they carry a lot of the products featured on the show. Although for a penny pitcher like myself I always check BBB's price (with consideration to the 20% coupon which are very easy to find in magazines, flyers, etc) against online retailers. Sometimes BBB are not the lowest price but often they are when you combine the coupon savings - another score! If you're shopping for a nursery and don't care about budget do come here. They have beautiful nursey furniture and accessories - the prettiest stuff I've seen anywhere. A mom to be can really go crazy in their baby department in general as it's quite impressive. My most recent experience involved shopping for the pad that goes to the Simply Fit board (another Shark Tank find). Online the cheapest was in the $12 range w/ free shipping. I called the store and they were $9.99 before the 20% savings and since they weren't in stock they shipped for free and gave me the savings even without ever seeing the coupon. I didn't need to do a thing other than call them. That's good customer service! This girl didn't want to venture out in single degree weather anyway! I will say however that that conversation was painful relaying my shipping information. As in the employee answering the phone either had a hearing problem or low iq. I had to spell and respell everything and constantly repeat myself. I'm not talking a word or two, I mean everything - even a common word like "street". She was very nice though so I was patient with her. In the end she still got it wrong, and I'm still waiting on my package, although it's only been a few days. I saw from the email confirmation that my name (a very common one no less) was completely butchered despite spelling it multiple times. Although friendly, accuracy is not her thing and girlfriend needs to instead stick to the sales floor. Other than that, saving money is my forte, so I'm chalking up the experience as a score.

Oh Boy, yet another strip mall complex on Route 30! Just what this area needs!…read more This BBB is in a smallish complex along with the usual strip suspects of Staples, Honey Baked Ham, Noodles & Company, Red Robin, Ross, The Christmas Tree Shop plus a few other hell holes. Two things about this place make it the same as any other BBB: -When you need someone to be at the registers to check out of course no one is there. This past Wednesday there was only one person who was at the customer service desk processing returns, answering the phone (longest phone greeting in history here with their "Happy Holidays-Thanks For Calling-Bed Bath and Beyond-Bye Bye Baby-Associate Name-How Can I Help You Or Direct Your Call-Pant-Pant-Fall Over From Being Out of Breath" greeting) and actually being a cashier. Tons of associates walking around the store seemingly doing nothing but no one could be bothered to be up front where it was constantly busy. The two people I dealt with were both friendly enough but do three people need to be in kitchen gadgets or do two people have to be standing around in scales? -.The store looks down right Seussian because there is crap EVERYWHERE. There is stuff in the aisles and on the floors. There is stuff on the walls and up against doors. There is one pile of cups that is probably ten feet tall and there are rows of cheese graters so high I couldn't see them all. That said, the store is ten times cleaner than my local BBB and if I lived closer I would rather visit this one than the location in Whitehall which is a study in claustrophobia with how much crap is rammed into that place. Of course the caveat with any BBB as John Pinette would remind you is to always bring your damn coupons. If you don't you're an idiot as prices here are obviously artificially inflated with the expectation of a coupon being used in every transaction.

He actually was getting annoyed with me by making loud sighs that were quite obvious that i was not welcomed. I tried to avoid him but he would show up regardless. I finally said something to a employee and was told they were getting ready for a big event. I said its still rude and went on shopping. 20 minutes later up came this man to me and said I'm Fred the owner (OMG IT WAS THE MAN WITH THE VACUUM) his hair was on fire and started to literally tell me off by saying he was not about to apologize to me for vacuuming and that this is a wholesale warehouse and he was the owner and sharply repeated , do you understand, do you understand the difference between wholesale and retail over and over. my mouth just hung open as I knew he was not right and would throw me out in a split second, so I said nothing, he finally said to me okay then okay looking for me to argue. I said okay and he left, I brought my second cart up to counter and said to the employee , please tell Fred he just lost a customer and left. I have never been attacked like this by anyone let alone a business owner, I left in tears and feel bad for Mr. Fred as he was obviously under a lot of pressure that day. I have a wholesale / retail store. I have never wrote a review, especially a negative one as I would not want someone to write one on my store. This warrants one!! Family Dollar is the worse company I ever had to work for and I haven't worked many places. They…read moreover work you and under pay you. I was a part-time assistant manager. I work full time hours or more. The store was always understaffed. No one wanted to stay. You have lots of people that get hired and do no call no shows. I never did that. I was always early. I worked earlier then I had to and longer then I had to all this company cares about is the bottom line. What can I do for them. I come in on my days off and it never mattered it never was enough. I admit I never got everything done I was told too. When you are on register and told to do other stuff it impossible to do. This company needs to learn that not all it stores run the same. Little stores can get stuff done but this is a bigger store and needs more people that it has and better pay. Lastly the one person that is to blame is Staurt Sivak. He is the worse District Manager I ever known. All he does is complain and complain. I can't count how many times this store been #1 in the district and not one word. He treats this district like it the army. It the chain of command. If he had a problem he reports it to the manager and then the manager tells you. They tried to fire me months ago because of low transaction. You can't force people to buy a certain amount if things to satisfy there bottom line. He a bully and a jerk. That store since I started there in December 22, 2016 has been through 3 managers. He was never satisfied with the first two I worked for and the new manager unless things change will not do any better. So all I have to say is I glad I don't work for this company anymore and I suggest you don't work for them either. It too much of a headache and you will lose your mind for low pay. I know I could get I trouble for airing company problems on the internet and I don't care. What they going to do fire me. I am gone. So thanks for reading my rant and I'm on to bigger and brighter things and more pay at Dollar General their competition.
