They don't have all the same brands and household items you may find at one of the bigger mall based department stores, but they make up for it with friendly employees and a really good selection all at some really good prices. Layout is really crowded, they have so much stuff crammed in here you'll be turning side ways to navigate some of the aisles. Really good shoe selection with some brands you won't find at other department stores (good brands - as well as the other well known brands). Sign up for email alerts and you'll get 20% off one item coupons and things like that. Really good deal when you can stack that with the already good prices they have. Great location and great service. Highly recommend if you've never been to one of their locations.

This store, however, sent a probable illegal alien to my house that did not speak a word of English. He sent me a text in Spanish. For the first time numerous items were left out of my order. No apologies or acknowledgement--just missing items. Had I not gone through the order item by item I would have been unaware. The guy could not understand the simplest of words or questions. I wish I could get my tip back. Be warned, this Wal Mart is hiring people who should not be working there and should not be sent to customer's homes.

This location sits about 3/4 a mile off of Highway 24 on Main Street in Kimball. It is a fairly new location, only opening a little over a year ago. The store is still in good condition, well kept and clean. This location offers all the standards and classics of a grocery store plus a few specialty counters and even a Starbucks. One of those specialty items is a self serve cold/hot bar featuring chicken wings! If it wasn't 9:30 am when I stopped by, I would have scooped up a few out of curiosity for the ride home! There is a nice deli and hot meal counter that also features a small dedicated dining space just in case you wanted to "dine in" before or after your shopping. The aisles were well stocked, produce and veggies nicely arranged and fresh, good selection of meats and all around goods. Prices were a tad higher than I normally pay, but given its location and smaller footprint, the slightly higher prices made sense and were not enough to deter me. Service was okay. I interacted with two associates on the floor and a cashier. The cashier was friendly and helpful. The floor associates were less than, as it seemed like I was bothering them when asking where an item was. This location also has a fuel center. Gas prices aren't the cheapest, but they are competitive. Rewards program seems worth it, similar to Kroger relating to gas points. Overall, solid grocery store. When on my drives up and down 24, if the need arises, I definitely wouldn't hesitate to swing by ole Food City.
