If an employee is going to get angry at you for something they should have offered to help you with in the first place, there needs to be Deescalation Courses or a reprimanding for entitled employees. I was trying to reach a 2-liter soda bottle, and used the (sometimes) provided soda stick to pull the product forward, which fell at an odd angle atop the top shelf. Having struggled with trying to position it better, surrounded by more than one employee in the aisle, I expected someone to offer assistance, but found none. So, I stepped on the bottom shelf to reach and snatch the bottle myself, visibly frustrated. After walking away with the bottle in hand, an employee spoke up aggressively and said "Hey, you! Don't do that again." to which I responded "Oh, I just couldn't reach it! Sorry." And he said, "We have ladders for that." I didn't reply after that and continued on. It was a brief and unpleasant interaction, not something I'm used to seeing but it was uncalled for nonetheless. My issue with this really comes down to: 1) An employee should offer assistance. A customer shouldn't always have to ask when they are visibly struggling, that should be a trained reaction as a Wal-Mart associate. 2) If they cannot provide assistance, then ladders should be within the aisle that can be used when product isn't within grasp. 3) Finally, what irks me is that this product should have been refaced (brought to the front and in reach) throughout the night of restocking to begin with. Fronting product should be priority one! A customer should never not have easy access to it. That's all! Hopefully this isn't something that needs repeated in the future, but it's also not the first time I've seen the beverages improperly shelved anyway. read more

My mother and I were leaving Walmart yesterday, my mom was pushing the cart with a few things we had just purchase. The employee at the door reached out and grabbed our cart. I told him we are not stopping because mom had knee surgery 2 weeks ago and she is tired and needs to get to the car and sit down. the employee rudely says, "fine then, I will write you down." he goes over to a clipboard. This morning I was leaving Wal-Mart and the man at the door named "Larry" was extremely rude. I left the store in tears after he became frustrated with me. He was allowing others to leave and then randomly stopped me to look at my receipt. When I questioned why he chose me after letting others go he became very rude and told me to "go." I politely asked him how they go about randomly choosing people to check receipts and he became more frustrated. We are regular customers and anytime he is at the door, we are stopped. Worst shopping ever, I thought it was bad when the employees just stand around watching paying customers check out their items and than have another employee stop them before leaving the store for a receipt. Now half the self checkouts are open, they make you stand in a long line while an employee that should be operating a registers stands there and directs them which station to go to to check their own items out. I had it with this company and I'm doing business with small local businesses that care about customer satisfaction. In general I like Walmart but today I needed something locked behind glass. A $15 power inverter. I waited 45 min so far. Had electronics page for someone. Nothing. Called the store operator. She paged twice. Nothing. Any employee I found didn't have a key and didn't care to try to help. At all. This may be as much the general attitude of our society more than Walmart. This is like most other Walmart super centers that I've been to. From garden to grocery items and a seasonal section. Since this Walmart serves many small communities it is usually very crowded at least in the parking lot, but once in the store it big enough to navigate even with the biggest crowds. I like their grocery part, prices are sometimes cheaper than that club store across the highway from here. Like my half and half which I buy by the half gallon. Their great value brand is just fine and always cheaper than name brands and I find them to be good. They have a nice sporting goods, garden department and housewares that I'm attracted to. Sometimes I find cute T-shirts for really reasonable prices. This is one of the cleaner well organized Walmart's I've been in and I've never had an issue finding someone to guide me to where I need something. It is just like the Kalispell DMV & Drivers License office. To do a Walk in to get a Driver's License is just not gonna happen.They tell you to go online and make an appointment. I needed an item and as usual they did not have it in stock and never do. Please do something about the chubby woman in the blue shirt with the dark hair pulled back at the pharmacy counter who seems to think that if she barks at customers and talks down to them like crap that people will somehow respond to it. I got the very strong vibe that since she was the only woman behind the counter and the rest were men that the way she was very rudely talking down for me wasn't even ment for me and that she was sending a message to the other male workers like "I'm in charge." It was a disgusting display of wannabe authority that she thought I was going to allow/put up with. I made sure in a semi polite way that her behavior and what she was barking at me wasn't going to fly with me and then cut her off as she tried to continue her disrespectful gross behavior towards me. We got excited, then looked them up on the walmart website, only to discover that the same tv is LESS money BRAND NEW in the box, with free shioping, on the walmart website. I LOVE this Walmart, go to Hutton Ranch Walmart every week and it is the same consistent GREAT customer service every time! Debbie is my all-time favorite, she has been there as long as I can remember, always a smile and super helpful. Robert, Alice, Jamie and many others have given great cs every time I am there. I use their curbside pickup which is super-fast and easy. Walmart has THE best prices in town, we are LUCKY to have Walmart, many towns are experiencing big box stores moving from their communities. No one is perfect, Walmart serves thousands of shoppers a day, our Kalispell MT store is clean, it is orderly and the staff is always very friendly and professional, their prices are great. Kalispell has grown by thousands and thousands of people in the last 3 years and Walmart never skipped a beat, neither did our grocery stores, salons, restaurants and I'm GRATEFUL we have Walmart here. I used to love coming going to Walmart, but I've learned that different stores have different items. This Walmart definitely has less items than the one in Great Falls, whenever I go in to by clothes I can never find my size and am told to go online to find it. I'm not much of a fan of online shopping when it comes to clothes, but since being in Kalispell I have been doing a lot of it. They are awful. Bad customer service overall. When you order stuff online and you ask for help they treat you like you are stupid and talk down to you as well. They also don't care if they messed up your online order completely. It's just an overall bad company that can use so many improvements. I bought some wine from the store and was met with an oddly aggressive cart pusher. As I'm putting my groceries in the car, an elderly employee decided to play cop and took the wine away from me, accusing me of being under the legal age! He demanded to see my ID and receipt; I showed him the latter but refused to show a strange cart pusher my ID! Athough I prefer and mostly shop at Costco for quality, I can't find the following items elsewhere either at all or for a decent price unless they are on sale: toothpaste, deodorant, face wash, Emergency, certain Mexican and Asian ingredients, Sleepy Time Tea, Greek God's yogurt, Amy's Gourmet TV dinners, Michael's Eggplant Parmesan, Ben 'n Jerry's ice cream, Sunbelt Granola, V8 100% juices....there are a few more I can't think of...I really like coming here at night. It's pretty much got everything. Cheap prices, but the only downfall is its crazy busy in the summer. There are not enough check out lines so when you come in for one item, it's pretty inconvenient when there's a long line and everyone's got a cart full. Customer service stinks. Lines are always way to long. Pharmacy is making every prescription I have a controlled substance and still with my disability makes me walk through the store if there is not a motorized cart available to get my prescriptions. This is why I changed my pharmacy all together. The store does not have nearly enough Handicap spots for the need of the town. I have boycotted Walmart all together. Their prices on items and food is not worth the savings if there is a savings at all. If you watch store ads you can get better quality items at better prices from Albertson's of Super One and even Smiths. Fruits and veggies always look second hand if you know what I mean and from what I have purchased from them in the past goes bad in 2 days of having it in the fridge or on the counter.
