At the self-check out and rang up an item twice. The employee who assisted me in correcting the problem was extremely rude and unprofessional. Walmart needs to do a better job matching employees who have the ability to interact with the public in a polite and professional manner. 1st I was in the store today and was looking at clothes on a rack, like really looking for my size to buy a shirt, an employee who had a rack of clothes to hang up came up to me and said excuse me. Me thinking she just needed to get by, I love over to the side and then she proceeds to remove the shirts that I was looking at and moved them to a different rack and replaced them with other ones. Then she just went on her merry way. 2nd I was hit in the leg by one of the ladies in the grocery aisle punching a cart with blue crates on them and after I said ouch, that hurt she backs up her cart and hits me again with it. 3rd I finally made to to the cashier after waiting 10 minutes in the speedy cash lane and the cashier had Jer hands on my items to start scanning when a customer walks up and the cashier puts my stuff down and says I need to finish checking her out she forgot her wallet and had to go get it... How is that my problem... She could have went and waited in the 10 minute line I was in. 4th I called the manager and all she did was make excuses for these associates and then said "*sigh* I guess they need more training" REALLY... Worst customer service experience ever! After multiple attempts to return a $8.79 item I bought on Walmart marketplace, was finally told there was nothing they could. When I insisted they could do something, the so-called supervisor, coach Sue, said maybe she could help me if I apologized. Unbelievable! I have spent over 2 hours trying to return this item due to Walmart incompetence and I still have it along with two emails telling me how to return it, neither of which worked. The only positive experience was the security person, Dominique, who had much better customer service than Coach Sue. He should have her job. read more

I'm not sure what's up with all the negativity about this Walmart. It's a clean and well stocked store with everything that you'd expect Walmart to have, plus bread, meat and cheese, produce, and frozen foods. There's even a Subway inside! The Asset Protection people here don't know how to watch a surveillance video. They stopped me and my friend and accused her of stealing but when she tried to explain her side of the story, they refused to listen. She's not from America and English isn't her first language so it was difficult for her to try and explain. And they watched the video (without allowing either of us to see) and started accusing her of being a scam artist because it was a apparently obvious that she had done this before. By the time they decided to call the police, both of us were too scared to argue and she ended up getting a citation and being told she needed to appear in court. However. The next day, she was told they found her original receipt as well as the wallet she had tried to explain that she lost, but they accused her of hiding both. In addition to that, they continue to say that it's her own fault that she got a citation because 'no one told her to lie'. I am never shopping at this location again and I'm telling everyone I meet at my school to do the same. Everyone else I've spoken to at this location is awesome but it's not worth it if I have to risk going through something like that again read more

Today I went to Walmart as always it was busy, I seriously could believe there was only 2 cashiers and one line open I swear we would have sat in one line for a good hr and a half!!! I couldn't believe it but thankfully a lady who wasn't even a cashier opened her line up for me and the lady behind me, I'm so thankful! It's sad tho how they can't even prep for night. I want to respond to other reviews on here that are like for another store. I have never seen anything dirty in this store. Never! That includes the bathroom. We shop at various stores in Jackson but most of what we buy we get at Walmart. We feel the meat and fish are fresher and prices better at Walmart than at Kroger or Polly's. We shop at Kroger's for convenience. We live and work nearby. We shop at Polly's for things the other stores don't carry. We also shop at Sam's and A&A Market but less frequently to stock up on other things. We usually get a big bag of ground chuck, a bunch of pork chops, kiełbasa, and kiszka from A&A. We also occasionally shop at Meijer's which I have no complaints about except the prices plus it's not as close to us. As far as returns, we don't return much but when we do there is no problem at Walmart. The other day something rang up for a dollar more than we thought it was marked. We went to the service desk and they gave us a buck back. No problem. I could give more reasons for shopping at Walmart but I don't want to bash the other stores. Look and judge for yourselves. OK, I wanted to update this because we had a problem and I wanted to share the experience. We bought a bottle of wine that we buy frequently and at different stores including Walmart. We had a lot of groceries and my wife missed the amount charged for the wine. It was $4.01 more than we usually pay. OK, so we didn't know what happened but we checked the price at a couple other stores over the next few days and they were still charging the old price. I got out my receipt and dug up an older one that showed the regular price and the SKU's matched, so I called the store. They were very surprised by my story and told me not to make an extra trip but to bring in those receipts on our next trip and they'd reimburse us. So, next trip we asked for a manager. We ended up talking to three managers just because they all happened to be in the same area at the same time. ALL of them were familiar with the situation and within a minute they handed me $4.01. read more

It's a Wal-mart which I rarely shop anyways but this one tends to be dirty and the staff has never been very pleasant. It's located next to the Westwood Mall. Like all Wal-marts it's open 24 hours so if I need something in an emergency when other places are closed I go there. Meat and produce are terrible which I have found at most Wal-marts. read more

Floors are often dirty, customer service is poor, and honestly the clientele in there is somewhat trashy which is probably why the floors tend to be dirty the times I've been. Just had the worst experience at this location. I would nit recommend anyone shop at this location. My personal experience was with a terrible manager. I picked out a jacket on clearance but the jacket rang up as full price even though the tag was clearly marked clearence, but she would not give me the price as marked. Which in Michigan is illegal i am going to go to somebody higher up or to the athorities to get the issue taken care of. read more

As for the people complaining about the shoppers in Walmart, or what time they drag their kids out to shop, or wear pajama's... Well, that has nothing to do with the store. Complain to those parents, or to CPS. The store cannot turn people away it doesn't agree with, or you people would complain about that also. I shop there on certain days to avoid the crowds. My only complaint is the cashiers are very slow sometimes, and don't seem to care if you are in line for half an hour while your frozen food melts. The last 2 times I have been there I have had that problem. Meijer's is just as bad though, have less choice, and higher prices. Most things from bakery and fresh veggies are pretty good, and most fruit is also very good. The meats seem to be lacking, and the steaks have to much fat and gristle left on them for the price. Other than that, it is as good as anywhere else, except you don't have to hit half a dozen different stores when they have most everything right there in one stop. read more

This is without a doubt the worst Walmart I have ever had the displeasure of "visiting". Very inconsistent with customers is my main objection. Every once in a while you will get a cashier who seems genuine and makes you feel glad you came, but for the most part it's this person who cannot hide their utmost disgust that you have interrupted their day. Case in point, We went to the bakery to pick up cakes on 3 separate occasions. The first November 4, 2015, the second February 6, 2016, and the third February 22, 2016. The first two times we said who the cake was for and they promptly got it out and put it in the shopping cart. The third time however. This woman informs us that we need to take an order request with the price to the register and bring back a paid receipt before we could get the $15 cake? It was like this cake had a sensor in it that would go off if I didn't pay for it first. Well we asked her why this had to be done and she told us that this is Walmart policy. Mind you, let me say again that we bought two cakes previously(the 2nd one being just over 2 weeks prior to this incident). She said it has been like this since I have worked here. If you're thinking she has worked here for years, or maybe since the store opened--NO!!! She stated very loud and clear it has been this way since July! I was so angered by this point or I would have laughed because she said this like she had been there since Walmart's inception. The only reason I go to this store is because it is closest to me in a pinch.I also only go to self-checkouts no matter how long the line. For the most part, I avoid this store and visit one that is about 30 miles away in Lansing, MI. For the people that think that this store is fine, visit a store in Okemos, Lansing, or East Lansing and you will see what a Walmart store should look and feel like.If I could give ZERO STARS I would. read more
