I went to get groceries and a couple other things for the week and honestly Walmart in general is going downhill but the Hampton walmart is atrocious. The store is ok... it's your typical cluttered retail store which doesn't bother me as much. What really PMO is every time I ask an employee for something they can't assist. I asked where aisle D is... she looks up from texting then says "at the front of the store"... I asked if she could show me or give better directions (in the front near groceries, or home goods) - she said she doesn't really know just front. Ordered from Walmart.com and the driver left $800 and 600lbs of gym weights thrown across my walkway in the rain and busted the containers open in the process. To get a refund or news weights shipped out, I have to purchase a roll of bubble wrap for $25, rewrap them, carry the 600lbs of weights back outside, wait for them to pick up and process the return, wait... then place another order and do it all over again. I'm just keeping the damaged weights and writing bad reviews on every website I can find because this is nonsense. read more

I ordered a delivery order for $471.00 dollars. On August 04, 2025, from Walmart on 1900 Cunningham Drive Hampton, Virginia 23666. In addition, They canceled my order claiming that the driver had an emergency. Further, I have been calling Walmart customer service since the 4th of August inquiring concerning my refund! Furthermore, customer service keeps giving me a run around and stating that I have to wait for 4 to 5 days EVERY single time that I call! I was in the area, trying to multitask and make use of my time. Unfortunately, Walmart never helps me with that. Oh, where do I begin? Oh, yes, parking...is pretty bad. It's Thursday morning and the whole lot is full!!! The night shift nurse in me is seriously doubtful that all the people shopping are shift workers. I finally park fifteen minutes later and the greeter gets my one star. She's very nice and helpful. I walk to the customer service line and it's empty. I'm thinking this is great. Nope! I show the cashier my return and instead of scanning my mobile receipt, she wants me to read the order number to her? She rolled her eyes and acted like I was bothering her for doing her job. Finally I spoke up for myself and asked, "can't you just scan the bar at the bottom of the receipt?" Lo and behold, this finally does the trick! She basically tells me I have to grab a replacement item, but I just wanted a refund. Twice I said this to her. Ordered online for the first time. Ordered a big Christmas bow and received 6 mini red and white bows. Everyone makes mistakes even though these bows were completely different. Took it back the next day found the correct bow. Went to CS and the lady didn't see the mini bows on the receipt so she called a team leader. Let me say she was not pleasant. She doesn't smile etc even though I asked her how she was and everything. I was first trying to find the info on the phone where I did the return for receiving the wrong item. She cut me off and she said I just need the order number. I said oh OK and I gave her the order number. That's when she couldn't find the mini bowls on the receipt so she called a team leader. while we were waiting, she said she had to call a team leader because she did not see those bows on the receipt. I'm thinking to myself I know she don't think that I'm bringing back a $2.48 pack of bows for something that cost $4.48 and lying about it. I said all I know is that I receive these bows instead of this one and I just want to receive the right bow. She said well that's not my problem. That's an online order and I have nothing to do with that I'm in the store and she had a big attitude. I said I did not blame you for anything. I know you're just doing your job and it s not your fault I didn't blame you for anything did I? She said I was just letting you know I said well you don't have to do that and I said what is wrong with you. She said nothing. I was just saying we don't have anything to do with online orders. I did cut her off that time and I said I didn't blame you for anything and you need to drop the attitude. She said she didn't have a attitude and I just was quiet after that because I didn't want to go back-and-forth. It was just very unpleasant and I wanted to be done with it. The team leader came. She said they probably just dropped them in there and to give me the other bow no big deal but I wanna tell you just from the first time of ordering something online that woman was so unpleasant and the whole experience was so unpleasant. I would not go back to Cunningham Drive. I didn't realize that I had chose that store anyway I thought it was the one on Jefferson now I see why they only have one and a half stars and I don't ever go there to shop at that particular store because it is really ghetto. If you choose to do online groceries directly on the Walmart app, please do not choose this store! Or better yet, find another app to order groceries on your behalf so that you don't get crappy customer service. If I could give this Walmart 0 stars I would because they have messed up my order two different times in many different ways this week. But I'll be focusing on the online grocery experience. I had ordered online, because my partner has COVID. I figured it was best to just have the stuff delivered even if it took another day and you pay $9.95 for shipping. I learned that a Walmart employee (from the Walmart store you choose) shops for you and a Doordash driver picks up your order and delivers it to your place. You choose the time your groceries get delivered, and I chose 6-7 PM. I got a notification that my stuff was being prepared at around 5:27 PM. My groceries did not arrive until 8PM, and some of the meats clearly hadn't been frozen well because my meats had thawed out and the package for the chicken breasts was pretty much liquidy as you guys can see on the picture. On top of that when the delivery finally arrived, they got my shit mixed up with someone else's groceries. Not just one bag, but 8 or more bags full of stuff that was not mine! I didn't keep them. I returned them back to the Doordash driver and told them they were not mine. I feel sorry for the person who had ordered those knowing that they will probably not get it back. I had to double check all the bags I had in front of the driver which was so risky because (although I tested negative) I was still exposed to COVID and the last thing I want to do is try to sort through wrongly packed groceries with strangers. The whole point of me ordering online was to avoid having to interact with other people. When I finally got everything figured out and started putting my stuff away, I realized that some of the fresh produce that they gave us were not fresh at all. I had to dispose of some of them. They gave me a squishy potato, squishy garlic bulb that has evidently gone bad, an apple scratched open, a bad red onion and lord knows what else. I'll probably find more crap when I start cooking tomorrow. They had my potatoes and oranges scattered in different bags, and my tomatoes sitting underneath meats. They also had my orders inside of the groceries that weren't mine and I had to dig for them. Seriously, wtf is up with all of that? Unfortunately you can't even leave any feedback, explains why I'm saying all of this here. I wish they would take more responsible for their bs ass work. They instead ask you to rate the driver who delivered your stuff. This doesn't make sense because the person that delivered my stuff had absolutely nothing to do with Wal-mart. Complaint. Managers need to take notice on this. Parking for disabled needs to be fixed. I came yo the store to shop and my mom drove separately to meet me. My mother is disabled and parked. When she came around the front of the car, toward the store, she tripped and fell on the parking block that was not in the right spot. Somehow it was at an angle instead of straight in front of the parking spot / car like normal. The thing is, she fell and no one helped her. She called me while she was on the ground to come and help her. i was in the store and i rushed out to her to help her up. A few other people saw me running out of the store and came to help me get her up. Pictures say it all. As a follow on, i had to drive her car after that because she was shaken up. I once was speaking to a woman working in electronics who was sharing with me the fact that she has worked at this Walmart for over 20 years and in the same breath told me that manager of this Walmart had been there quite a long time and how hands on she was and how the manager was always on hand . I said well she must never have to go to the bathroom . Disgusting, no t-paper or soap. Do not expect any help in any way shape or form in any department, no one know sh_t, but do expect the rudest customer service . When you get anything from the deli , expect that if they drop your package of lunchmeat on the floor, they will certainly pick right up from the floor and not even blink when they hand it right to you. Pros: -Convenient, especially for the socially awkward person -Their regular prices on things like sodas beat the sale prices of a least one grocery chain here in Hampton. -The front staff are very friendly once you get to know them. -I understand a lot of people don't like self checkouts, but especially for people who are nervous in social situations, they have a large number usually open and available. Cons: -The conveyer based self checkouts are not always open. Additionally, not all of their conveyers work. This isn't just a recent issue; some of them haven't worked since they were first installed a few years ago. -The front door staff are not always fully compliant with state and local consumer protection regulations, especially with regards to receipts and theft. This has been alleviated at least with me as I have gotten to know them. -Their private label milk consistently goes bad before the sell by date. If you have to buy milk here, pay extra for the name brand. -I will agree with shelf shortages. They could improve their ordering process. -There are often two personnel from Verizon near electronics who will accost people who walk by them, no matter how many times you ask them to stop. A simple online order is too much for this store to handle. I ordered a Christmas tree and two other household items for in store pick up. It was supposed to be ready by 8pm. I placed the order at 11:00 am that morning, so I didn't expect it to take that long. Wrong. At 7:45 pm I received and email that the order was delayed. Okay, not ideal but things happen. SO when I had not received an update by 10:30 am the next morning I called the store, the pick up associate told me that the order was ready and she did not know why I had not received an email. I send my son to store to pick up and he is told order is still not ready and they don't know why he's there. Long story short they held an order I had already paid for hostage because they could not find one item. Instead of cancelling that item they were refusing to give him the entire order. BECAUSE THEY DID NOT KNOW HOW TO CANCEL A SINGLE ITEM OFF THE ORDER. They wanted to cancel entire order and have him pay another $83 for the tree. Meanwhile it takes 3 days for me to get refund. No way. Your mistake, you make it better not more inconvenient. Inept employees all the way from the operator who found it hard to transfer, to the counter associates who gave multiple answers to the same question, to the store manager who never took control of the situation. I am a bedridden resident of a Hampton Virginia nursing home. I depend on these type of delivering services. Amazon Prime Now and Whole Foods Market delivery is AWESOME! I never had any problems. I recently tried Walmart's Grocery Delivery Service 3 separate times. Every order was missing items and in addition the last order was almost an hour late. The missing items were said to be out of stock items. When I talked with the delivering story's manager....it was confirmed that all items were indeed instock. Walmart's Customer Service is a JOKE. I was in line waiting to check out in the Self Check out line. While there there was 2 over worked female employee.s . One was helping people with their self check out process. We were asked cash or Credit. The people Lenin front of me were paying cash. We were informed that they only had ,"1" registered taking Cash. There was literally fruit smeared all over the floor in the produce section... No carts loaded in the cart bay when we walked in either! What is going on WalMart?
