In a moment of desperation from a road trip gone sideways, I looked up locations with Auto departments and tires. This Walmart is 24/7 but unfortunately the Auto department has limited hours similar to the pharmacy. I called up this location ahead of time in a panic asking if they carried tires that I could just purchase and install myself. The woman on the line was helpful and understanding and let me know a manager would be able to help me out upon arrival. Despite the initial confusion/miscommunication internally at the Customer Service Desk someone surely did help me as promised. We rushed back to the Auto department and I gave my tire specs to one of the associates who went back to check. Unfortunately for me my sub-compact cat has somewhat uncommon tires so they did not have that in stock. However I really do appreciate the great service and empathy. My SO and I ended up just purchasing a tire gauge then grabbing a bite to eat at the Subway inside. Another moment of stupidly on our part we forgot our backpack on one of the seats then rushed in an hour or two later. Thankfully they just put it in the lost and found in. We confirmed nothing was missing! I wish there was 24/7 super center closer to me, especially with such helpful staff. This place will have a special place in my mind. I was extremely unhappy and frustrated with this Walmart as it relates to their photo center service. I've used it before and while the system has a very clunky interface, it generally yielded pretty good pictures for gifts or personal use. Last night (11/4/25) I went there with the express purpose of getting 2 8x10 pictures printed. I utilized the instant kiosk and was informed (by the system) that it wasn't working so, I used the one hour service. I selected the images, uploaded them to the system, and placed the order. I waited around for over an hour and got no notice (text as was what I would have expected) that the order was completed. I returned to the register and was informed that the system wasn't working. Here's a bizarre idea, PUT UP A FREAKING SIGN!!!!. It would have cost Walmart a single sheet of paper, 1/4 inch of scotch tape and crayon to produce a sign that simply said the system was not operational. I left upset that I blew that much time for no reason. The following day I attempted to call to ask them if it would be possible to put a sign so that others were not subjected to the frustration that I had experienced. I tried three times to call and ask for a manager. The operator never picked up the phone. I guess the notion of "customer service" is a myth with this store. I drove back that morning (20 minutes) to lodge the complaint in person. No manager was available so i spoke with someone at the "customer service" counter. With no satisfaction. Waited almost an hour for a curbside pickup order that was just a dvd. They kept bringing out larger orders to cars that pulled in after us. Ended up going inside to pick it up. Got back to my car, opened the bag, and it was still in the plastic container that the employee has to open. Had to go back inside to get someone to take the box off. I went in for an oil change, so I parked at their auto center area. When I entered, there were no cars in the shop and two of the shop people were up front talking. I waited to be attended to for a few minutes but they ignored me but I could see them looking at me occasionally so I got closer. The technicians kept talking after about ten minutes waiting I asked them if everything was ok and if they were open for business. They answered yes and then asked if I had an appointment, which I did not. I was bringing in my son's car so this was an opportunistic visit. I told them I was a walk in and the technician said I needed to speak with the manager. So I asked where was he? The technician said he had stepped away and would be back soon. About five minutes later some guy appeared, they spoke to him first and then he asked me what I needed and then asked if I had an appointment- he already knew I did not because I could hear the technician tell him that I did not. The guy then told me they could not until a few days later. Please bear in mind that I was there around twenty minutes and all bays were empty for the entire time I was there I went up front to complain to a manager- there was not one. Instead I spoke with a team lead who said I could call the 1-800 customer service number to lodge a complaint- which I did that resulted in no follow up or feedback. When I passed the auto center to leave, there was one car in the bay with three or so empty bays and two technicians up front talking. So over the course of 20-30 minutes they started work on one car. Finally, I had previously shown up to get my oil change and did not have an appointment and waited more than two hours in the store but got the oil change. That time I saw many gaps to service my car that they did not use instead I later learned they had slotted me in a window between certain cars and appointments and they stuck to that schedule but kept telling me I would be serviced soon and later after a certain specific car they said was ahead of me. This place is very inefficient and they must be measured by some metrics that work against walk ins. I checked to make an appointment and it was at least two days out. I and most people can't always plan on getting an oil change a few days out and would still use the walk in option but this place seems to punish you for trying to be a walk in. I will not return here as they have very poor customer service and a sub 2 star rating! read more

The visit started off well. Parked near garden center since we were buying a grill and charcoal. A gentleman helped show me where they might be. They seemed to be out of them but I looked around and found one. It was very high on the shelf so we went to get an associate to help. That was the end of the pleasurable experience. Could find no one. My husband ended up climbing into the cart to reach the grill. Went out to garden center to pay and no one is available. Someone checking at the door said he was on lunch and there was no one to cover him. I said I don't think it is safe to wheel this grill through the entire store and back again. He just smile and shrugged. I saw at least 7 to 8 Walmart employees walking around. As we were leaving a gentleman heard me say, "Unbelievable". He asked me what the problem was. I explained. I told him it was ridiculous to push this heavy cart through the entire store. The manager was standing next to him and agreed. As we were leaving they got a cashier to the garden center but it did little for me. I have had lung cancer so walking with a mask on in 85 degree weather isn't my favorite thing to do. We plan our trips accordingly. This should have been minimal walking, had an associate been at the register. The manager apologized to me, but it means little when you stop three different people and try to contact service desk and they don't answer. Not exactly a smart way to do business. I had an order for pickup at this walmart. somebody took my package without my consent. Now, walmart will not replace my package but instead has issued me a refund on a product I can't buy again because it's sold out. This refund takes 5 business days to process. They really f*cked me over. I don't recommend this store AT ALL. it's filled with irresponsible employees who will give out anything to anyone. I have been frequenting this store less and less over time. Today, I think was my last visit to this venue. The store was very well staffed. There were blue vests in many isles. The biggest problem was that these blue vests were having the time of their life. They (none of them) were not stocking shelves or doing any work that needs to be done in a retail establishment. Seems to be more of a social establishment. I waited for 10 minutes(maybe longer) for someone (Liz) to show up with a set of keys to open a locked cabinet. At that point , the item I wanted was handed to me over her head, and was told "follow me, I'll check you out". I felt that she and many others in this store were very rude and inattentive. Interesting that Glenville Walmart was in Schenectady's Daily Gazette yesterday regarding their staff not adhering to mask requirements. I observed the same thing when I was there yesterday. Both of the men behind the deli counters had their noses exposed above their masks, while two employees who were seemingly on-break were wandering about the store without masks on at all. read more

I must say I am very disappointed in this Walmart. We frequent this Walmart quite often for many different items and the reason why we do that is because we work in the area and it's just easier to swing into this Walmart then it is to go to another Walmart when you're looking for clothes and things especially for children that we have for school and that type of shopping parents you know what I mean. Walmart is supposed to be that all in one shop where you have your clothes you have your school supplies you have your food all under one roof and you can leave and go home and you're done you shouldn't have to go to another store after you go to Walmart. But after we go to this Walmart and it seems like only this Walmart we always have to go to another store because they never have what we need in this Walmart as far as food goes. It's almost like they're going out of business, their shelves are always empty like empty to the point where there's nothing on them empty and either they're not ordering enough stock or they're just not stocking the shelves because if they're not getting through a whole service or whole day in products sales then they're losing a whole lot of money because people still want to buy products at 5 at night but if the product isn't there to buy then they just lost that sale that's common business practice. So what are we have to do we leave Walmart and then we have to go to Price chopper or Hannaford to get something else that we couldn't get because it's not available there. Suggestion anybody at the Walmart corporation is listening at this particular store we've been in many Walmarts but it seems to be only this store that is happening in get them to stock their shelves more cuz they're not doing it correctly it is always empty there. This store is filthy. I've lived in the area for nearly 6 months and have always gone to the Walmart (usually don't go to Walmart to begin with) in Halfmoon (5 stars btw). I went to this one in Glenville because I was on that side of town. Never again. Filthy, overcrowded with people and products. A lot of items are locked up and when you ask someone to unlock a cabinet, they can't. Apparently only person has the keys and whenever you need something they and their keys are nowhere to be found. Stupid if you ask me. The Halfmoon location is so much nicer, it's spread out and employees are kind. They don't have items locked up either. read more

I'm new to the area for about a year now and the WalMart in Glenville is my favorite WalMart compared to E.Greenbush and Albany Wash Av Ext., and I don't find the things other negative reviewers have complained about. Staff always is friendly. Yes it gets dirty at times but they do their best to stay on top of it. The customers are the ones who mess it up. You can't blame a messy store on an overwork employee who's doing his or her job and maybe they were told not to clean up bc someone else is coming in to do it. If I'm looking for something they always walk me over to where it is, even if I say "just tell me you don't have to walk me there" they still do anyway. The 4 stars is mostly for the Wal-Mart Pharmacy. The people who work there are extremely helpful even when the internet fails and your script gets lost. They were kind and called my Dr and got me the medication I needed. I absolutely appreciate their services. I've been to the store a few times and each time is ruined due to disrespectful or rude employees that are a clear reflection of management that does not care. This ranges from - Employees talking in a small group being asked a question, giving a blunt and direct answer, then immediately ignoring me and going back to their conversations. Rude cashiers with serious attitude problems. And so on so forth. Not to say all of them are bad, The people stocking in grocery are generally politely and very helpful, but you know the old saying - A few rotten ones spoil the bunch. I work at another Walmart store and I have very high standards considering how top notch our store is. Over the years this store has gone downhill. First they started by carrying less variety of products. Then they hired fewer and fewer staff so that checkout lines are longer and the store is dirty. Their clearance section is also a joke taking 5 cents off the original price of an item is not clearance and makes Wal-Mart look like they think their customers are dumb and won't notice. ~20 self check outs and they're all shut off, ~20 registers and only 4 cashiers on. i spent 25 minutes in line waiting behind loaded carts to buy THREE items. it took me longer to purchase my items than it did to find them. meanwhile, there are employees walking around aimlessly and other employees just staring at the lines. save your time & money and go to Target up the road, or to Walmart Schenectady where they actually have cashiers and working registers. read more

Easily the worst Walmart I've ever breed to. The lines to checkout are always at least 10 minutes even when the store isn't that busy.

If I could give this store a minus rating, I would. I went there when I was traveling; I was staying at a local hotel and I couldn't sleep (an earache) and wanted to get some hydrogen peroxide and Tylenol. I checked the internet for a local business that was open at 4:30 AM that would be sure to have what I needed and saw that this was the closest. When I drove up, I noticed the area outside of the store was very messy - things out of place and shopping carts scattered throughout the parking lot. When I got inside, I couldn't find the peroxide. I noticed that several aisles were cordoned off with racks, plastic ties and chairs (very disorderly looking). I asked a sales attendant where I could get peroxide and it was in one of the closed off aisles. I asked another sales attendant if I could get the peroxide and they refused; they had just waxed the floor. "What about customer service!?", I wondered and thought for sure someone else would accommodate my request. I spoke to several employees at the place (there seemed to be 10 or more roaming around (I appeared to be the only customer) and learned that one of the employees was the store manager; no one would assist me. Turned me off to Walmart stores completely, not that I shopped often at Walmart anyway. I've never been in a business that valued a waxed floor over the customer's needs. read more

I had a bad experience with a rude and incompetent cashier today. She had a serious attitude problem and did not seem like she wanted to be there. She overcharged me twice. I got 3 of an item. She inputted 3 into the system and then proceeded to scan the other two, so I was charged for 5. Then I got something that was marked down with a new price tag; she scanned the original price sticker. A third item came up wrong, and instead of offering to do a price check, she just voided it and put it aside. When I said so you're not going to do a price check, I'm just not getting the item? Seriously? So they did the price check and came back with the same price as what had come up on the scanner. I doubt they actually went to the shelf to check, because it was clearly marked. I was so annoyed that I forgot to give her my coupons. She was already onto the next customer so she tells me I have to go to customer service. After customer service, I walked right back over to the shelf of the item that came up with the wrong price and sure enough, I was right. It was $4 less than it scanned for. This store needs a real attitude adjustment. Ironically enough, I usually go to self checkout to avoid these types of issues. Learned my lesson for next time I suppose. They should do away with all the cashiers and just get more self checkout lanes at each end of the store. read more

The offensive, sexually harassing behavior by some Wallmart employees at the Glenville, NY location is a serious problem and needs to be addressed... On Thursday on this week after purchasing a few items my girlfriend, who at the time was alone, was treated terribly by several male Walllmart employees as she got into her car. The employees, who's job seemed to be gathering carts, instead were reading a bumper sticker on my girlfriend's car for the gyms she attends. After receiving several offensive and sexually harassing comments she got into her car, locked the car doors and left. Hours later my girlfriend was upset and angry with the way she was treated. If these are the types of individuals Wallmartt employs at the Glenville,NY location then what reason is there to believe that Wallmart employs individuals who respect women at other Wallmart locations? Neither I, nor my girlfriend will give Wallmart our business in the future. read more

Every time I go to this place I have a similar experience... Never any staff around, never enough registers open, lines for days to check out. This is roughly the 5th time I've been to the photo center, and almost every time it is not staffed. Today I waited over 20 minutes for an associate to help us in the photo center. About 20 walmart employees walked by with their head down to go into or come out of the back, all but 1 completely ignored us standing there. My husband approached 2 people in the aisles near electronics, one said "I dunno man, I work way over in the auto section" and the other was from electronics but told us that he didn't know how to help and that the person who ran the photo dept was sent up front to ring out customers. During this time about 10 other customers waited around to pick up photos. This huge line of annoyed people and all of the employees walking to the back just put their head down and kept walking. After waiting almost half an hour I left and went to get my purchases at CVS instead. Most of the other customers left too. This place always looks kind of dingy too.
