Very large and busy Walmart in Glen Carbon / Edwardsville. I stopped in on a Friday while I was in the area and it was clean and well stocked. I left with everything I needed EXCEPT some Almond Butter Powder the app said they had but was nowhere to be found. read more

It's Walmart ! Not too much to say. I did find some new fragrance soaps I'm interested in, some smell good scrubs, great desserts and fresh veggies and fruit. This store was very crowded and too much inventory being moved around during business hrs in my opinion. Every direction was a new bed of items being pushed in your direction. My shopping experience was pretty much dodging the inventory staff and moving out the way. This store needs and overnight inventory shift . The positive of this is at least the product is coming in at this location. Others stores I have been too shelves are bare!!! Guess with that being said I'll shut up and be more appreciative of workers and inventory :) read more

It's Walmart and some locations are a hit or miss. But this location wasn't. It's well stocked and organized. Good variety of fresh fruits and veggies. Love the new layout that Walmart . They have some really nice home decor items and the displays make you want to buy one of everything. I purchased wall plug in refills from their home collection, and the scents smell amazing. I'm disappointed that their refills cartridges aren't universal so i can use them with my other plug bin. So i have to either buy Walmart's plug in or just use the oil in my oil burner. The workers were friendly. I didn't like that they were restocking or moving product around during busy store hours and on a Saturday. They should wait until later in the day to move product around and restock. read more

Every single time I go to check out using the self check out I go to insert my card and it gives me an error repeatedly. It then tells me to swipe and does the same thing over and over again. This not only happens at this Walmart but as well as the wood river Walmart. It then eventually takes my card only 10 minutes later. Gets old! read more

Can I give a negative star review for the auto center? Three times in a row they have acted like they don't give a damn. All three times I have walked out on them. Two previous times they claimed to be bidet with no cars in the back lot and only one or two cars in the bay. Today I asked about an oil change. The first lady I talked to was fine. The guy would not even give a ballpark estimate on time. He could "only tell me there were two cars in front of me" . I simple asked so are we talking an hour? I said I would not hold him to it. He again "we are not allowed to give estimates " . You know how long an oil change takes so yes you can give an estimate. That tells you they do not give a damn. Basically like we are so busy we do not need your business. The auto center in Highland is 1000% more professional. read more

I just wanted to say I've been doing Walmart Delivery for over a year now and all of the workers are amazing and take their job seriously. I was hesitant at first because I am so picky with my produce and they always give me the best! Huge thank you to all the Walmart delivery team for working so hard year round and also in this heat this summer! You've made me life so much easier read more

I live in Collinsville but much prefer the Walmart in Glen Carbon over both Walmart and Market in Collinsville. Glen Carbon is cleaner, more organized, easier to maneuver, the staff seem friendlier, the lines move faster and I feel safer. They are rarely out of items I am looking for. Glen Carbon is one of the best Walmarts in the area! read more

Would absolutely go anywhere else for your auto care. The first experience they had drained my oil without checking first to see if they had the proper oil filter. I had to run to autozone twice to pick up the correct one. The next issue was getting my tires rotated and I had purposely skipped lunch so I could stop back around at a time that was supposed to be slow. Waited at hour only to discover that they had not yet even started to rotate my tires. I'm now late for 2 clients. read more

I live in Tokyo Japan and am used to the best customer service in the world and and when ever I visit Edwardville I always shop here because it is cheap, with a huge range of products all under one roof, and based on my experience I would still rate this store Great with Hard working and very helpful people. The last time that I visited this store was August 2023. read more

As always, I am very thankful for the Glen Carbon Walmart. The employees go above and beyond to help customers. Even when they are being verbally assaulted by customers. I love the fact that all of the staff, even though they are just as restricted from covid as everyone else. I moved from Glen Carbon, but I will always make the trip just to have the great experiences I always have. read more

For being a "college town" Walmart they don't do a very good job at keeping much of anything stocked. I've gone multiple times now and see isles and isles that look like an apocalypse happened...in the candles isle too! It's just a weird wal mart for being the location it is. And these times I visited were not during stow storm predictions read more

My local Walmart. I've never had any issues here. They have the everyday basics at the best price. I think this particular Walmart is nice. The bathrooms are kept clean and the cashiers are always friendly. I usually go at odd times so it's not crazy busy. Overall, it's a good Walmart and even though I hate going to Walmart, it is what it is. read more

I would give negative one thousand stars if I could. Not only is this store always a wreck, but there is zero customer service. My son got a few outfits for Christmas from family that didn't fit. Their current store policy is no returns over $20 without a receipt. No exceptions. This is the most ridiculous policy I've ever heard of. It's not only inconvenient, but also no other store does this. A multi billion dollar company is doing nothing for the public during a pandemic other than making life harder for customers trying to return things, and underpaying their employees by astronomical amounts. I have always disliked Walmart and I am not a regular shopper, but after today I will not spend another penny in a Walmart or a Walmart owned company for the rest of my life. That probably sounds dramatic, but this company is poison to communities. read more

This was the SHITTIEST experience in Walmart I've ever had some cranky bitch as lady at self checkout was being a dickhead know it all to me when I was just trying to check out with my sparklers. I was 18 and and didn't have my I'd on me and she wouldn't let my buy them and the part that pissses me off is that she was being extremely rude to me about it.. never going again highy dicurage anyone from shopping with that lady give her a zero star rating. read more

This store thinks you steal. I think it is completely offensive to ask someone who just paid for their items to show a receipt. I had my 3 year old with me and I took him here to pick one toy. I went through the self checkout, paid and took 10 steps and was stopped to show my receipt. By stopping me to ask for my receipt I feel as if they are accusing me of stealing. If my kid didn't have his heart set in this toy I would have immediately turned around and returned it. I called the store over and over to try to get through to the manager but had to get the guys in automotive to get the manager on the phone. As I explained why I find it offensive and was asking for the information for the general manager she hung up on me. Not professional, completely rude and I feel as if I was profiled. They don't care how much money you spend in their store. They have no problem accusing people of stealing with no reason other than how you look. No other stores do this to people. Walmart only catches 5-10 percent of the theft in their stores so why treat people who work hard for their money and spend it here this way? They are too stupid or lazy to actually do the work that would catch thieves. Instead they assume we're all stealing and want to make a scene as you leave the store. Spend your money where they don't treat their customers this way. It's embarrassing and offensive and they did this in front of my kid. This place is a joke and the manager I spoke too is rude and not capable of doing her job. she should get into a different line of work because customer service is not in her ability. read more

They installed new tires and valve stems on my sons equinox. When a valve stem went bad they refused to replace it.

I've lowered my rating since they have been out of a popular pet item for nearly 2 months. Not just this location, but all nearby Walmarts. Staff not helpful when asked why the shortage! read more

I bought some new headlights for my car & took the lights I pre-purchased to Walmart's auto center so they could install them for me. It generally doesn't take long to install new headlights, but for some reason it took them 45 minutes to install the headlights. They were not busy at all & had my car sitting in the garage finished for about 15 minutes before they remembered to come get us. BUT, that's not even the worst part- the next day I took my car to Valvoline for an oil change & when they popped the hood my old head lights were just sitting in there. Like come on people. It took you 45 minutes to change my headlights & you couldn't even do a good job?? The one star is for the person at the help desk because he was friendly. All in all, don't go to Walmart for good car service. read more

Good selection, however it's clear the corporation is trying to cut costs as no one ever answers the phone and you can hardly find a worker to help you. read more

I bet Walmart is making bank off customer now with the virus going around they won't return any items so u are fucked sitting with shit that don't work or that don't fit and then they tell u oh well we don't know how long it's going to be before u can return an item so make sure when u buy clothing buy it a size up or ask to see the product out of box before purchasing I bought several clothing items and needed to return some of them because they wouldn't allow me to use the dressing rooms and they will not return the items. I wasted money and they lost a customer. I've been a loyal customer to this location for 12 years and this is the first issue. read more

Go anywhere else but here. My daughter not knowing better went here for tires and purchased a road hazard warranty on them. Getting them to honor the warranty was like pulling teeth. They nickel and dime you on every move made. It's well worth the drive to wells Norris in jerseyville because they include everything and even balance your tires for free if purchased there each time it's necessary. read more

I usually don't have a problem coming here. In fact, I come here at least once a week. I'm in and out and I don't usually have to talk to anyone. Unfortunately, today took a different turn. I tried to buy a cell phone and the guy at the electronics counter had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. We were talking In circles and he kept changing the story when i asked him questions about the phone. He was not helpful at all and I felt as though I was answering all of my own questions and I don't know one thing about cell phone plans. Someone put this kid in the grocery section. Thanks for nothing, James. Thanks a lot. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I Went early this morning to do Thanksgiving shopping and then waited with many other customers 35 minutes for a checker. Management knew of the problem and did nothing to help. When a manager finally came to check, so offered no apology and was a little rude. She said they plan to get rid of all manned checkouts in the near future. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE?? Not everyone wants to do this themselves. What about older people who would have a hard time with this? Life is hard enough right now without Walmart adding to the stress - but I dont think they are concerned about their customers as long as they have their profits. read more

Six cashier and all self checkouts. Then seven or eight of those are down. You have to do the work now and still have to wait 10-15 minutes In line. What a joke this has become. They need to start giving us all 1092 forms for doing the work for them. It's not like they are lowering the price in all the labor they are saving. It's a challenge to find any associate to help you as well. If you don't have the app to look yourself just give up. This store needs a major change in leadership it never used to be this bad. Now the instock is horrible and service is non existent. They don't even schedule someone for the jewelry counter anymore. read more

It's the Saturday evening before Christmas and at 6:30 I am told that management has closed the "fryers" at the deli and I am unable to purchase one bucket of my favorite WingDings for a party I am attending. Not a pleasant place to shop. The prices are lower than other stores, for sure. But the difficulty in finding items, unhelpful staff, and crowded/cluttered spaces make the discounted prices not worth the hassle for me. The times that I venture into this Walmart, I immediately regret it. read more

Very clean friendly workers easy to find items on my shopping list. Like using aisle location to find unusual items.

I received an e-mail from Walmart indicating the package that was due to arrive did not. The tracking site said it did. I called the pickup department at the Glen-Ed superstore and explained the situation. Karen N. said she would try to find out what happened and call me back. I figured I would not receive a return call and would have to go to the store to get help. However, Karen called me back in about 15 minutes. She had found the shipment and it was ready for pickup. She was very nice while talking to me. She was not only personable but she did one heck of a good job. I find most employees at this store are friendly and willing to help. read more

Fantastic store to shop in and all the associates are friendly and helpful. I love to going this location.

I've had no issues at the Glen Carbon Walmart. In fact, Skip, was very helpful to me when I had a question. He even took the time to walk around with me for a few minutes and ask what I liked about the deli department, what I didn't like, what I bought the most of and so forth. I know that he's given our schools donations and discounts when we order things from there. It is like anyplace else, however, sometimes you get a grumpy employee and sometimes you get a great employee. For the most part, I've never had issues with this particular store. The O'Fallon Walmart though...heeber jeebers! I was so frustrated by the time I got to the checkout, I was ready to walk out. I stood in line for a while and then the woman slapped the "Lane Closed" sign right in front of me and walked off without a word. At least at Glen Carbon they put the signs up and give you warnings, like "I'm closing right after this customer. I'm sorry." This lady just slapped the sign down right under my nose and walked off. I sat my merchandise on the floor right there and walked out the door. I'll choose Glen Carbon any day of the week! read more

This time of year they have a huge sales staff. The lady in fabric is sweet and helpful. The woman in the photo shop is the best. Also, the bread is worth the trip read more
