The perks with this store is........ They carry Buddy the Cake Boss, whole cakes and cakes slices. If you are a fan, which my mother and sister love his cakes, my mother loves his show. They have carrot cake, chocolate fudge and his rainbow cake. I'm not impressed with the bakery area. This locations has nothing on the selections at the Walmart location located at 141/Manchester road. They have the BEST liquor aisle I have ever seen in ANY Walmart!! I love it! There is liquor in the 2 aisles that I have NEVER seen anywhere. They have the magnum bottles of wines, cocktail shots, little bottles of wine cocktails for $1.50.......don't recommend, tried the long island ice tea had to throw it out. I also purchased the margarita, scared to even crack it open.....remember it says it's a wine cocktail. It's uniquely disgusting..... They Bailey's reasonably priced, if you can't make it over to Total Wine. They have pre-mixed cocktails that are ready to serve, a HUGE selection of wines and spirits. I'm a sucker for Old El Paso's taco shells, since they have been coming out with the new unique flavors since the Nacho Cheese Blast, TaKis, Ranch and Jalapeno Cheddar....which you can purchase all of these varieties here except the TaKis which were discontinued. Ohhh, they do have a decent frozen food aisle. Checkout isn't bad and parking is cool.

A candy rack hanging over the conveyor belt at Walmart was an obstacle.

Wal Mart would have better customer service if they hired people through a work release program.

I always enjoy taking the drive to go to Gravois Bluffs, and stopping by this Walmart location.

The last 7 years we have started buying our produce at Whole Foods diets to the fact their produce is much much better than Dierbergs and for the same cost. Today I called and asked about ground veal. Spoke with the meat department and had them set aside the last 3 packages. My husband went to the store half an hour later to pick up the veal. No one knew what was going on, other than to tell him the meat person we spoke to was on lunch and he would have to wait half an hour for him to come back. Hubby had a manager get involved, who was a. Self stated "grocery guy" that was acting manager. We spoke and I pointed out the ridiculous situation . He eventually found the ground veal. Does no one have any pride anymore? My question for Dierbergs corporate "how many bad reviews will you tolerate, and lost business before someone takes notice"? Dierbergs has gotten so expensive and the quality so poor, you are better off going to Aldi and Whole Foods for your groceries. Thank you to the "grocery guy" who helped out. To Dierbergs: you should be ashamed of the prices you have for the poor quality you provide.

It was nice to browse through their produce section and grab the items I needed. Then I went to the baking section looking for some almond flour, baking soda, cornstarch and other baking products. I also needed to get some sea salt and kosher salt which I found easily. I was really glad they had lots of the milk options I needed and they even had the kodiak waffles I was looking for! I found some of the other items I needed and made my way to the front of the store to check out. I decided not to use the self checkout since I had a few too may items, so I waited in line to check out at a register which took a while since there were a lot of other people there today. When it was my turn, I unloaded things onto the belt and then made my way to the bagging station since there was not anyone there to bag my items so I bagged things myself. Then I was on my way.

My salad weighed in at exactly 1 pound. At $8.99/lb that is pretty competitive to your fast food choices as well. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Stores are always brightly lit, clean and inviting. Kudos to Schnucks for making their salad bar so accessible, nutritious and yummy!

Aside from the al pastor, tacos were honestly a little unremarkable given how tasty they looked. Carne asada was on the drier side, chorizo too salty, and I've definitely had more flavorful and tender lengua elsewhere. The star of the show was by far the quesabirria tho. Super cheesy and flavorful without being too oily. Actually so delicious. Cheap, casual spot definitely worth checking out. Favorite dishes: Quesabirria

Everything came out fast, hot, and generously portioned, with the classic setup: warm corn tortillas, chopped onion, cilantro, lime, and a lineup of salsas to round things up. The birria tacos were the clear standout. Deeply savory, rich without being greasy, and packed with tender meat that tastes like it was cooked with real care. Don't forget the consomé to level these up even further. These were easily our favorite -- the kind you keep thinking about after your meal is over. The other meats were solid across the board, and it was fun to compare them side by side. Nothing felt like filler, and the tortillas held up well even as we worked through a full tray. Portions are generous and the prices feel fair, especially considering how satisfying the tacos are. This is the place you come when you want legit tacos. Don't skip the birria. We'll definitely be back.
