It's funny how I'd never been in a Walmart in all my life, until earlier this year and now I'm all about them. We stopped in here to pick up some first night/first week type of items for my sons new home. His first place and I'm surprised I held it together as well as I did. We were here to grab kitchen and bath mats, shower curtain/liner/hooks, utensils, dish set, kitchen towels, air mattress/bedding/pillows all of the stuff we needed to get him squared away until his things arrive and we secure regular items. This Walmart met our needs. I couldn't get him on the Pioneer Woman line that I love, he wanted a more masculine theme ;) but we were able to secure many items to get up and running this week. I'll probably come back and buy up some Pioneer Woman stuff or ship over some Mackenzie-Childs and Le Creuset for my own sake and just store in a cabinet at his place for my own use. This may not be our go to home goods store obviously as I love Besos pricing and several other options but in a pinch when you're around town trying to get a home up and running in a few hours this place will help do the trick. why does the service advisor refuse to service my vehicle because I told him to put the Fram P2 on my truck instead of the small Fram 1060. The unacceptable 1060 or 10600 that they used caused my vehicle oil light to turn on and off in my truck and was leaking out oil. Your computer is putting out the wrong information on some vehicles. The advisor said that they have to go by what the computer says. However, if the advisor go and scan your QR code near the oil filters, it will give him the correct filters for my 2014 Ford Expedition. Beware because like the service supervisor stated, none of them are mechanics but only technicians. However they must use common sense because the customer knows their vehicles. I have over 10 years of mechanic experience and training but was shocked listening to this BS about "we must put what the computer says " on your truck. It doesn't matter what your owners manual says. The store manager never comes to the phone. read more

Sadly, in my opinion the Whittlesey Walmart has become the worst Walmart in Columbus. Poor customer service, the grocery pick up used to be great but now sadly it's severely unorganized (I really feel empathy for the workers) - the last time I ordered a pick up (the other day) I had to wait - which is understandable because it's Thanksgiving week & they were super busy, but the phone number on the pickup parking spot number signs didn't even work. It was all a confusing mess! They marked my order as picked up but I was still trying to find a parking spot in the pick up area - when I finally got someone on the phone again they got it all worked out but I was missing an item and honestly just left because I didn't want to stay there nor return again. Walmart is such a huge company but I sincerely hope this locations management or owner sees this and makes improvements even if just for the staffs sake. read more

We were staying at the Residence Inn which was in walking distance from this store. This location was very handy at 4am when I was making `stuffed jalapeno peppers and realized I`d left a needed ingredient at home in Atlanta. Now I will admit there were some strange folks loitering in the parking lot at 4am, but whats strange for me, may not be for someone else. Went to this location at least four times over three days and found it convenient, easy to shop although the layout is sorta backwards compared to what Im use to with my local Walmart Sits right next to a SAMS Club. read more

I had a terrible experience on April 18, 23 I self check, and my neighbor who was riding with me got on the none self check line. After I scanned my items I use two cards a program card, and my Visa card to pay. I than waited for my neighbor for about 7-10 minutes, and just as we started to walk out side a Walmart employee snatched my receipt from my hand, than takes my bags out the cart, that I had already paid. She told me that I had to ringed them again, I told her that I had already had, and why would I do it again? Apparently someone just ringed their items and walked out, and by now there were 3 employees trying to make me ringed my items. I keep telling them I had paid using to of my card, but they didn't bother to mash the items with my receipt, and I could not do it because they had taken it away from me. After a while they finally believed me, and decided to check my receipt. By this time a lot of the customers has looked at me if I was a thief. And sadly none of the employees apologize to me. They were all so rude, and unprofessional, the thief got away while these employees were attacking me with out any prove, if these employees were trained properly thieves would be caught and customers won't be falsely accuse. read more

It is the week of Christmas, three days before to be exact and there are only 5 manned registers open with the self-check out registers at the other end mostly open. The lines are stretching beyond the clothing sections and it's RIDICULOUS!!!! Not even a manager is walking around and greeting customers, apologizing for the wait, etc. Walmart has become such an unpleasant and frankly, a business in which it feels like they are entitled to the millions of dollars from consumers. Everything is falling off shelves or half-stocked, even their online inventory is never accurate. I will take my business straight to Target or Amazon going forward after this holiday season because Walmart's lack of standards have drastically lowered. Don't bother getting Passport Photos here - they'll take them against a taupe wall in the back that the Passport Agency will reject as being neither white nor off-white. The Walmart down here in Columbus are THE WORSE Walmart I have ever been to. The employes are nasty they don't do there jobs. A couple months my husband was getting stuff for his weapon and I ask a lady for help and she said she doesn't work in that area, but she will page the manager to help us. She went and paged him, waited 5 min nothing. Went and ask someone else. After about 30 min of waiting and 5 pages later, he come out of the back in the break room and was oh I have customers. Proceed to go play with a child, my husband yelled and said you have customers over here, he say "I do". I absolutely HATED this location because the setup seems backwards and confusing to me. It seems cluttered and discombobulated. Nothing is organized or convenient, which is why I NEVER shop here. However, I placed an online order which had to be picked up there so I had no choice but to go there yesterday. I was so shocked at the service I received, I had to do a double take at the banner store name. Walk in the store and head straight to the pick up section. No sooner than I hit the service screen, a woman pops up, greets me and asked if I've been helped, excuses herself and walks to the back. Before the door could shut, Jenn walks out the other door behind the register and greets me with a friendly salutation and asks, "How may I assist you today?" I'm thinking, "Am I actually at Walmart?" I tell her, give her my order number and ID (which she politely requested), she finds the info on her screen, and before walking to the back asks, "Would you like some water while you wait?" As she reaches behind her. WAIT, WHAT? Did she just offer me water? I decline, she excuses herself to fetch my package and I look behind the counter to see a small fridge. SHE DID offer me water... I had to check the sign to remind myself that I was at Walmart and not some fancy schmancy store. She brings the order out, confirms it, does whatever she has to while making small talk, I sign for it and I'm out...took less than 7 minutes. Still in a daze, I walk to Electronics to find the Apple TV thing. Walking through I don't see it. Spot a guy working on something and ask him (Robert, is his name, I think). He quickly, without hesitation, stops whatever he was doing and promptly unlocks a cabinet, all the while greeting me and informing me about the item I've requested. So now I'm really paranoid, cause he has actual KNOWLEDGE of the item...this has got to be the TWILIGHT ZONE! He rings it up along with my other stuff while chatting away. Everything done, he thanks me for shopping at Walmart (really) and I'm out! I still don't like this location and wouldn't go back unless by force, but this was a great experience for which I HAD TO write about. read more

It is a Wal-Mart. I think it is probably the better one in Columbus. Hard to find help sometimes, but that us typical of most Wal-Mart stores I have been to. There close proximity to Sam's and Navy Federal make it a convenient location for me. read more

Not sure why this Walmart currently has only a 2 star rating. It is definitely one of the nicest Walmart's in the area, and the inside is clean - a huge priority for me. The customer service is on par with pretty much every other Walmart that I've been to in the country so there's nothing to write about in that regard. This super center is also in a good area which can't be said for other Walmart's in the Columbus area. I haven't had a bad experience here but then again I haven't utilized many of the services offered at this Walmart. I only stop by when I need to by something - usually a quick stop. Overall, a good, clean Walmart with the cheaper prices you've come to expect at a Walmart. read more

11/20/2023 i was at walmart near closing time and i had trouble getting to a couple items cause stockers blocked the aisle. one was sent by thwe other to find item i requested and he could not find it so i had to crawl around one on the floor and walk down there to find what i wanted myself. as a result i arrived at check out 3 minutes after 11pm. the man in front of me said they was turning away people and he was the last to be allowed to check out. he pointed to a lady to my right that not allowed to check out and said another had already left. sure enough an emplyer walked up to me a minute later and told me i could not check out . i left the store at 11:05 without my items. the man in front of me said he would never shop there again and neither will i . i went to publix to get my thanksgiving items and tonight i went to target's where the customer service is great . and yes i am telling everyone how i was treated at walmart. the manager should be fired. don't bother trying to call customer service or the manager as neither answer the phone. and they do not ever get back with you on a complaint. i filed one when the mechanic in automotive dept stole change from my car when i was having an oil change done read more

Tonight I had one of the worst Walmart experiences I think I've ever had.. I always price match before purchasing an item and two out of 3 of the items I was purchasing were market down on the Walmart app and were sold by Walmart, not a second hand seller. When I went to checkout the 2 items wrong up different from the online prices, so I called over an associate who -was the only one doing anything in the self checkout area, the other was just standing there- I explained the situation to her and she said she just needed her higher up to say she can mark it to the prices I found. So I waited and when the higher up walked up to me she was clearly annoyed. I explained the sit and was very rude during our exchange (which she had come over from another customer who was having price match issues as well) she gave us both the tough luck, it's not my problem responses and walked off. So much for Walmart priding themselves in price matching... especially when it's your store selling the item (again, I had checked it wasn't a secondhand seller) and having extremely poor customer servic!! read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would give this store 0 stars if I could. I went there today and Assistant Manager JOHN was a super jerk! They don't honor the prices on the shelves even if you're spending $260! He belittled me in front of the entire store and pushed a label into my face telling me "If you can read the price you can also read this! It says what product it is!" He was EXTREMELY RUDE and unprofessional and said that I should have been patiently waiting for him... EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A BREASTFED 3 MONTH OLD WHO WAS IN NEED and excuse me for not wanting to expose myself in public. Also my 3 year old was ready to go to sleep. Our trip turned into a 3 hour tour. He said that it was my fault for waiting to talk to him as he already told the CSM he was going to do nothing for me even though they told me to wait for him for 15 minutes.. I actually had to wait 45min-1hr. He was very rude and very defensive. I wasn't trying to take advantage of Walmart at all. The shelf was full of this one product and there was one label. They spoke to me like I was an idiot and I left in tears utterly embarrassed. I drive 3 extra miles out of my way to go to this store because I have heard it was better than the one on Airport Thruway. They are both a waste of time & I really don't see myself shopping at Walmart in the future.. Target here I come. This place, like most other retailers in the South, is quite ghetto. They like to lock their doors, which is a fire hazard, and their employees are some of the least-helpful people you'll meet. They have a huge selection, but that's WalMart. Their groceries are lower in price and not terrible quality, but the employees are more apt to lounge around the electronics area than re-stock the shelves. I've asked for help in various departments, and the employees seemed bothered, like I'm inconveniencing them with work (when they're so busy talking on their cell phone). Someone should enlighten them of their employment is at WalMart and to instruct them to lose their sense of entitlement. read more

The workers are rude when you ask them where something is. They don't seem to care if they are blocking the customer from looking at what's on the shelf. The lady at the register didn't even say hi to me and when I offered to scan the big items in my buggy she didn't even respond. Just handed it over and didn't even thank me for scanning it. Then the girl by the door watched me leave the register but still made me stop and show her my receipt which she barely looked at long enough to read anything on it. If you're not going to legitly check my cart why stop me in the first place. Not to mention that I didn't even set off the alarm by the door so why was I even stopped in the first place. read more

Don't ever take your vehicle to the automotive dept at the wal mart on whittlesey they are not helpful nor are they knowledgeable of their products I called to ask about battery for my truck the sales associate i spoke with said they had a battery in stock that could fit my truck so I called around to other places to get more prices however I eventually called wal mart back bc they had the best price Lori answered the phone I asked her again about the battery and she also told the battery would fit my vehicle I also asked her could they install the battery she said yes I told her I'm on my way I got there at 6 to purchase the battery and have it installed only to be told they could not install it today I would have to come back the next day I told Lori I wish I would have known that I wouldn't have come today so I waited the next day I got there around 815 and was told it would be a 2 hour wait for my battery to be installed so I left my truck there to only be called 3 hours later from a sales associate saying the battery does not fit my truck!!!!!! I was so livid!!! So I returned to wal mart to get a refund and take my services else where I asked the other associate about the battery to only be told it must have been a new person who told me the battery would fit my truck and if was her or lori they knew better I then told her Lori is the one who sold me the battery !!!!! They then took forever to return my money due to no money being in the register then they left the battery that couldn't fit inside my truck !!!!!!!! Needless to say I will never return to this wal mart automotive department for anything again their customer service is horrible !!!!! read more

Super crowded, long lines, poor grocery quality, and poor service when calling. This is a nice Wal-Mart, much nicer than the one in my hometown. It's big, clean, the grocery section seems decent...definitely A-OK in my book. Was very surprised to see the nail salon inside, my home store doesn't even have anything similar to that. I'm not a nails girl, but that was interesting to see. If I could give this location no stars I would. They have the absolute worst customer service ever. Their managers aren't worth shit. They are extremely rude and lazy!!!! Unfortunately I came in on one of the busiest days! First, the parking lot is filthy, and let's not forget the carts that is flying across the parking lot and blocking parking spots. Then, after going in and shopping for my items, I am given the choice of checking out at self check out or 3 or 4 jam packed registers!!!! Meanwhile we have 2 people in yellow vests standing around laughing and talking! I honestly can not get mad at the cashiers because they work their asses off for those lazy scum bags, and the time they need their fucking help they just stand there!!! Just called to get a simple price check on a movie and the guy that answered informed me he could not tell me the price because he didn't feel like walking all the way to the front of the store but I could come in and check the prices. I then asked to be transferred to someone in electronics that could help me and he transferred me to register 14 in the front and she told me there was no way to get a price check because she couldnt leave the register. I asked yet again to be transferred to electronics and she told me to hold on then hung up on me after holding for 4 minutes! Very poor phone service here!!! read more

There is not a place for the Tire and Lube, but I wanted to take a minute to shine light on a great group of people. Essie, Jeremy, Christina, Deni, and Michael were absolutely fantastic! They worked hard to ensure that were able to get home safely after receiving insufficient and frankly dangerous service from the Walmart on Front Beach Road in PCB, FL. They all stayed 30 minutes after closing to ensure that we had a tire safe to get us the last hundred miles home. They truly cared and for that I wish there was more we could do to show them our gratitude. If we could have tipped, we would have. read more

we are coming back to Florida from Tennessee Bc of hurricane Irma. and our tire popped on our way back in Columbus Georgia. Thank god we had a spare tire but we knew we wouldnt be able to make it back to Florida with just a spare. So we decided to look up the nearest Walmart with a tire shop. The nearest one was on whittlesey blvd. we arrived at 5:30 told them the situation and refused to help us. They said "you guys arrived late, and we don't have time to receive anymore cars" as if we planned to have a popped tire. We explained that it wasn't a planned thing we needed their help and once again refused to help. We asked what time they closed and they said 7. Let me remind you we arrived at 530 and they were sitting down not working in any cars when we arrived. Some of these employees are SOOOOOOO RUDE! My partner was at the coinstar machine & it took his coins without giving an accurate count. There was a customer service center employee by the name of Virginia Love that came to his aide because she saw it happen too. I walked up as they were on the phone with coinstar customer service, but what blew me was the fact that an employee by the name of VONICE was tasked with helping them solve this issue and she had a horrible attitude about it. She wasn't looking us in the face at all, and when we asked her questions, she'd mumble something and walk away. She wasn't giving us direct answers AT ALL, and she was getting upset with my partner as if it was his fault the machine malfunctioned. She was speaking to Miss Virginia Love SO disrespectfully. it was disgusting how bad her attitude was, ESPECIALLY with how rude she was being to Miss Love, who is visibly older than her. Everyone knows not to disrespect your elders. Miss Love was only trying to help my parter so they would know he wasn't lying. I understand that there is only so much they can do with the coinstar machine without a coinstar vendor present, but VONICE had an attitude from the start. There was another very round woman that came to unlock the machine, she had an attitude as well, but her name tag was flipped over so I couldn't see it. She called my partner "shawty," as if that was professional. she said "scu'me shawty" WHAT? Why is that your preferred choice of communication when interacting with customers? The whole experience was mind blowing. However, I am very appreciative of Miss Virginia Love for all of her support, considering how rude the other employees were. It's quite obvious that Miss Love should've been in a higher position as opposed to VONICE who clearly needs more training. Someone needs to address this. read more

I'm a big fan of Walmart's low prices but the customer service at this location is rude and the lines are consistently long. I know they are busy. So are other stores that ARE trained to handle being busy while being courteous.
