Popped into here for some groceries. Since I don't have plans to be here long, I tried to make the most of the items on sale. I was greatly disappointed when I found that some of the sales didn't apply but I was also much too lazy to drive all the way back to correct the mistakes. This is my favorite Publix locally to shop at. They have a great selection at the deli and when ordering fresh subs or meals they are always on point. The store has decent sales from time to time and the cashiers are always friendly. They have plenty of drive up/pick up spots available as well. read more

High prices; bad meat. I go to this Publix often as it's the closest one to where I live. I didn't have a problem with them until I started getting meat from there. Sure they cost more than some other stores, but because I like their selection and lack of crowds most times I put up with the cost. Their spoiled meat, however, takes the cake! Two packs of ribs that I've gotten were bad. As in rotten and smelly straight out the package. I returned the initial ones and was given a replacement that was equally rancid. It was such a disgusting experience. Maybe...don't buy your pork from Publix. To be honest, I wouldn't trust the beef, fish, or chicken from there, either. read more

Seriously the best! Trying to create a tasks for kid I work with to do grocery shopping and I had to take picture to do a mock grocery at the center in hopes that our client generalize to the real setting of doing grocery shopping one day. The staff was very supportive. Also brought my kids here for their flu-shot! We checked out 3 other places, only to be turned away or was not able to with their ages. Tricare insurance covered! Went to order my sandwich and lady goes can I help you I tell her what I want then she walks off to assist customer in the hot foods department. When I walks off she gets smart and say I'm the only one working. Bad customer service. If I'm next I should be served not have to wait even longer. I may be biased, because I almost always come here on Sunday mornings (to avoid the crowds) but I love this store! The staff is super-friendly and feels almost like an extension of my family. Sam is a great cashier and always greets me with a smile and a "Hi, sugar!". I love the Publix brand products, and the layout of the store is very intuitive. Whenever I've needed help finding a product, staff has gone above and beyond in helping me locate the item. Instead of just telling me which aisle, they'll walk me to where it is (which isn't necessary all of the time, but very appreciated). Coming here is actually a pleasure instead of a chore! read more

This Publix has the friendliest staff of the ones in the immediate area, and that says a lot since they all do their best. I can always find help in the fruit and meats area and they are always spot on with their suggestions. I love the staff in the prepared food section. You could walk in 15 minutes to their closing and they will do everything to make you leave satisfied. read more

If I could give zero I would! The bakery and staff are HORRIBLE! I ordered a custom birthday cake for my son. When I went to pick it up the decorations were totally wrong. When I questioned it the girl said it was an "oversight" on their part and if I could give them 25 minutes they would fix it. I said okay. Not once did they apologize for the error or apologize for making me wait. When I went back to pick up the cake and the decorations were very sloppy. I still had to pay FULL PRICE!! After getting home and starting the party I had requested the frosting specifically be buttercream. After cutting the cake and starting to eat they used whipped icing! I called the bakery to let them know of the mistake and Christine (I believe was her name) was extremely rude. Not once did she apologize, not once did she offer to fix it AGAIN, and not once did they offer to give me any of my money back. I will NEVER order a cake or shop at this store again. HORRIBLE customer service from the bakery staff. They should be ashamed how they treat customers!!!! read more

What is wrong with your Deli?? I have come to the Deli over four times now to order a 12 piece fried chicken box. Your employees alway tries to give me the dried out chicken from under the heat lamps. Sorry, I tried it once and the chicken was too dry and chewy. If I try to place a fresh order, your employees alway claim it's going to be a 1 hour wait. Thank goodness Walmart and Winn Dixie were nearby. I feel that as the customer, I should have my order the way I want it and not your employees getting an attitude because I refuse their selection. Love this location! Employees are ALWAYS helpful and friendly. Don't have to worry about food items being rotated when stocked. Have never found an out of date dairy product (like I do at Walmart regularly). Employees restock properly and don't put 'something' in a spot just to fill that spot. Love that I don't have to buy two items when it's a BOGO item. Postage Stamps sold at registers. read more

By far one of the nicest stores in Columbus with employees that seem to really love what they do and don't hesitate to help you when you need it! Every time I shop here I am greeted numerous times by management and employees. They make you feel like they appreciate you and your business. I've shopped here for many years and have gotten to know quite a few people there. When I was looking for something specific , they didn't carry it but they ordered it for me and now they stock it. I sincerely appreciate them! I love the fact that every time I'm in the store, I notice they've ordered in new organic items!! This makes it a lot easier for my family as that's all we do. We don't have to go to four different stores or drive to Auburn and Atlanta to get things we need! Every grocery store should model themselves after this store but that's just my opinion! read more

I've been a fan of this store since it opened over a decade ago. The store is clean, the employees are friendly, the selection is good and pricing is pretty good. I'm not a couponer, but watch for sale prices. My only disappointment is in the online ordering process for sub sandwiches from their deli. Since that became available two or three years ago, I have probably ordered a sandwich and then driven to the store to pick it up about 15 times, maybe more. They have about a 50% track record in having mine ready and correct. I've had the wrong size, the wrong meat, the wrong bread, plus they have completely lost my order, or not started it (even though they have a minimum advance order time). Other than that, I'm overall very happy with this store, and still frequent it even though another big name store opened just a few blocks away. read more

Over the last three years I've been coming to Columbus, GA on an annually basis and this market is a relief to have close by. The staff is very friendly and helpful, that southern hospitality. Facilities are very clean and easy to find your items. Produce department has a good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables. One of the major improvements was the deli; they now have tables to eat in with a good selection of ready to eat hot and cold dishes. Being from out of town getting cash wasn't a problem they have an ATM that accepts my debt card with no fees. I needed to refill a prescription at the pharmacy and didn't get charged for my antibiotic. They have a program of no charge for most of the common generic antibiotics. Used my major credit card and racked up more of those points. read more

Everyone is so sweet. The quality of food is good. But if its not on sale, You could probably find it some where else less expensive. I like that they double coupons up to .50. and if something is buy one get one free or 2 for a certian amount and you only get one its half. This is absolutely the best grocery store in all of Columbus. They have the best selection, and if you can't find something they will make sure to satisfy your needs as best as they can. Not only do they have the most products, they also have the best employees. They are always very nice and are willing to help you. Checkout is a breeze, no more waiting in lines forever. Don't think that they cost more than other stores either. They have great sales and even give a discount to senior citizens on Wednesdays. This is my one stop shopping spot. read more

My visit at the Publix customer service was not good. I waited in line while other people walked up and they took them in front of me, even someone from the pharmacy walked up. I told them I was there first, I got ignored. So I left. I will never return. My advice go to another Publix. Bad Customer service. I had to end up going to another Publix on the other side of town. I ordered a two tier Frozen cake and the top one was very lopsided and about to fall off. When I bought it to the attention of the person that showed me the cake. They asked Vanessa who made the cake to come look at it. Her explanation was that the cake sat too long which is completely unacceptable. She asked me if I wanted to wait for her to make another one which would take a hour and a half. But I ordered the cake a week in advance so I don't understand why it wasn't done correct the first time. read more

I am really surprised that this location has such good reviews for the staff. I have been to this location multiple times over the past year and experienced extremely rude staff. Whether it's in the deli, bakery, or the cashiers. I sometimes will stop by during lunch to get a sub made at the deli and have had them get mad at me because I wanted to create my own sub, when there is a sign that clearly states that you can create your own. They are just unbelievably rude and very unfriendly. I came by yesterday to get a sub and the employee was basically laying/leaning on the counter where my sub was being made while she was making it, extremely slow I might add but I wasn't even in a hurry. Stopped by the bakery a couple months ago to grab something from there. I was not waited on right away, but I know people are busy and have jobs to do. So I waited. The workers in the bakery saw me standing there and did not say a word to me but continued with what they were doing. I waited a while longer til finally some one asked what I needed in an unfriendly manner. I got what I needed and moved on, just thinking that I haven't ran into any friendly workers at this publix in the multiple times I have been. Yesterday, I was checking out in an 10 items or less lane since I was only getting a sub, water, and Nutella snack. There was a man ahead of me in line already nearing the last couple items of his groceries so I set my 3 items on the belt. The belt reached the cashier and she rang up one of my items. When me and the man ahead told her that the item wasn't his she caught am attitude and took it off his groceries that she had rang up and threw the item back on the belt. THREW it back onto the belt, like it was my fault she wasn't paying attention to her line. I used to be a cashier and it isn't that hard to PAY ATTENTION and know whose items are what. Of course this outraged me but I didn't not say a thing. The cashier started ringing up my 3 items and I slid my card for the payment then when she was handing me my receipt she told me in a VERY sarcastic tone to "Have a nice day". Somebody that acts like this should not be the front line at any establishment. I am APPALLED that so many people that are so rude and/or unfriendly are actually allowed to have a job there and treat customers as I have been treated. Will be going to Fresh Market from now on for lunch and letting people know of my experiences! read more
