Worst Walmart ever. I have had problems before but customer service usually cleared it up. Not today. They are running a sale on Atkins shakes a six pack for 6.94 according to the signage. But run it thru self checkout and it rings up 6.98 then double charges you and additional 10.98 for god knows what. Worst run grocery store I have ever seen (Walmart ST# 00321, 203 US Loop 290 West, Brenham, TX). Today was the most horrible experience I've had at this store, and I've had a lot. I've had to wait in long lines at the customer service desk in order to get refunds on the following dates, all because the cashier charged me twice for the same item, or the price rung up was not what was listed on the shelf: 01/04/2022, 02/26/2022, 4/13/2022, 06/03/2022, and today 6/12/2022. AND I HAVE THE RECEIPTS TO PROVE IT. Only two lanes open again today, as usual, with long lines waiting to be checked out. Today I had to wait 25 minutes in the extremely long customer service line in order to get a refund for the item the cashier charged me twice for. And even the customer in front of me at the customer service area agreed with me that this store is terrible. And also, some of the employees there seem to have serious attitude problems. I usually love Walmart but seriously? This store is always DIRTY! Bathrooms are usually gross and smelly. Price scanners are not working half the time and many times are needed bc prices are not posted on some things. Hard to get help here too! I agree with TAM M.'s review- Online shopping was good and pretty convenient but OMG when you get to the store it is a nightmare! I have used it three times! Daughters wedding- Christmas and one other event. The help desk in back where you pick up items has improved over first and second time but still takes forever to actually get someone to come to the desk and then for them to find your items! Even with a printed copy of email stating the items are ready to be picked up and the order #. Definitely need work there! Love that this is one Walmart that still has a craft/sewing/fabric dept. Again, the service there usually stinks! Grocery- Meat case- almost always smells like rotten meat! Joy! Optical- again bad service. Produce- horrible! Bagged salads are kept too cold I think so they are always starting to go bad. Spinach always has slimy black leaves in it. Wish they would get it together! read more

I suspect Mr. Sam Walton is flipping in his grave about the way Walmart is run today. A few months ago I shopped with a friend and I was stopped on the way out the door by an employee wanting my receipt. He acted like the Gestapo and treated me like a criminal. When we finally got back to the cashier, she reached in her trash can and pulled out the two halves of my receipt. She had run out of tape and was more focused on replenishing than the grief it could cause me. No apology from either employee. Yesterday I went to the store to return an iPad I bought my husband (online) for Christmas. It would not allow any apps to be downloaded. First, I was required to go buy an envelope for her to return the item. They only came in packs of two, and I doubt I'll ever need the other one. I decided to shop for wine and beer since getting that delivered by HEB is a bit complicated. The cashier put two bottles of wine in the basket where moms put their kids, without raising the little barrier. I was loading other stuff and didn't notice where she put them. I took two steps outside the door and one of the bottles crashed to the concrete. I went back inside to get them to clean up the spill and stood in line behind half a dozen people to try to get a replacement or my money back. I was told that since it happened outside the store (I literally had not gotten to the street yet, and nowhere near the parking lot), that it was not their responsibility. If it happened inside the store, it would be. I said, "So I took two steps too many?" No answer. I just said, "That's really crappy," and left. No "sorry that happened." No "well, we'll talk to the cashier to make sure she packs things better in the future." No concern whatsoever. I'm retired and on a fixed income, and that wine was expensive, and I had spent over $200! Needless to say, I have no intention of returning to that store unless it's an absolute emergency, nor do I plan to order from Walmart online anymore. Mr. Walton was all about customer service. I had an excellent experience at the vision center. The young lady that helped me find suitable glasses for my prescription was very patient and knowledgeable. When I went back a week later to pick up my glasses, a different technician helped me. The lady was very friendly and kind as she adjusted the frames to fit comfortably. Aside from the great service, the quality and price of the frames was excellent! Based on my recent visits, I highly recommend this Walmart Vision Center. Great job! Thank you! read more

Walmart is never my go to place to go for anything for this exact reason. My mom and husband I sent to this Walmart to get a fishing license for my husband and we went to the counter in the department and no one was there. Now that isn't abnormal but what made me really mad is while we waited around for 15 minutes a young lady came up to the counter on her cell phone talking and told us to hold on while she talked on her phone. I was trying to figure out if she even worked there when she took her phone away from her ear and asked what we needed. I was kind of in shock but my mom said we were looking to get a fishing license and she said that the computer was down. She didn't even miss a beat and started talking on her cell phone again and walked away. I don't know if the computer was really down but we just walked out people much in shock. Good thing we didn't need anything else because she obviously was not going to help with anything else. Good job Walmart! read more

My husband and I visited the store with our grandson to pick up a fishing rod and everything else what we need for him to fish. Unfortunately we do not know to much about fishing so we ask for help Clay was more than happy to help, he picked up everything what our grandson needed also explained to us how to fish and gave us advice where to purchase minnows. Let me make it clear that I'm not a fan of Wal-Mart in the first place, so my experience is kind of bias, but I'm trying to be fair. . . .To avoif the dreaded Christmas shopping, I did ALOT of my shopping online in 2011. Everything was okay with my online experience, until. . . .I had to actually go to WM to pick up the dang items! I understand it's Christmas time and people are busy, BUT being busy doesn't excuse you for not having manners. I stood at the site to store counter for 10 minutes. I saw at least 10 to 15 employees come out the back or go to the back while I was standing there and NONE OF THEM had the sense to ask "Have you been helped?" or "May I help you?" I finally could not hold my holiday peace and good cheer towards men to my self and hollered at a fast walking employee to find somebody to get my stuff. Do you know the chick thought I was being helped? Ummmm, did you ask if I was being helped? Then don't assume that I am! A manager came and got my items pulled from the back in no time, but still unbelievably slow and rude. Behavior such as this would usually grant a 1 star rating, but since it was the holidays and I know how some customers can get and just maybe MAYBE the employees had been dealing with difficult customers before I arrived, I gave this store a 2. But again, I don't like shopping at Wal-Mart. Love site to store though and the 6 month interest free I received for purchases in November and December. I can honestly say I have never had a good experience there. The employees are rude and just stand around the front end talking to each other. The managers are no where to be found ever. The bathrooms are worse than an old gas station. I go there as little as possible. In fact I drive 45 minutes to go to Target where people treat you like a human being. read more

Every time I'm at the Brenham Wal-Mart, I'm surrounded by employees complaining about their jobs. I have no doubt at all that it's a hard one and Wal-Mart isn't a great company to work for. If it were, the staff would be happier. I can NEVER get help in the craft department, and the store is just plain dirty. I refuse to go there unless I have to. Believe it or not, I had excellent treatment at the Auto Care center at this particular Walmart. I drive a car that I've always been told needs a special filter and oil which runs me about $85 usually. Between the manager Robert, cashier Sandra and technician Alvin, they spent 10 minutes looking up what exact oil my car uses and helped me find the cheapest option. Turns out I've been being cheated and they chose not to do that to me! They also stayed busy with upwards of 20 people demanding attention from them during the 30 minutes it took for my oil change and were always polite and helpful. 08/28 Frequently shopped this Location while enduring a vehicle breakdown layover. We noticed emidiatly the missing stock on numerous shelves in nearly every department of this Division 2 store, as they call it. The condition of disrepair of the shopping baskets. Only two open checkout counters maned by an associate. Other than the self checkout that most were not giving change. Credit card use only. Associates, too lazy to refill checkout registers with receipt paper or money to make change. No Black Web brand Boombox's in stock. A 100.00 item. Asking when they expect several missing items could expect to be replenished . The associate claimed that : " We Don't have any input as to what needs ordered, We receive only what & when the hill deems us worthy". So, we must agree with the constancy of extremely poor reviews. It's a Corporate decision, just as the CASH BONUS program for store managers, have them cutting cost in every facet of the store. Men beware, the restrooms in the layaway area are reversed, Men's room is not on the right as is standard in most all other Wall-mart stores. FIX : Boycott the Location by not shopping there. Sam Walton's Christian views & business ethics went to the grave with his generation. The current generation that would have filled our shoes to have the required discipline to be the Doctcor's , etc. The Gen~X as they prefer to be addressed, have no pride in their work, their appearance or even the morals or ethics, required to be a human being. Way understaffed----hard to find help. Restrooms are outdated and inadequate. Price scanners don't work. Some employees are friendly but the majority are anything but. I suspect they are overworked and undervalued. The grocery area seems to have a nice selection and is kept stocked. Part of the problem is the customers---goods are dumped all over the store for the employees to pick up and return. Aisles are too narrow and it is difficult for handicapped customers to get around. Targets are far better-a lot more spacious. I found the deli area to be good, in all fairness. read more

Spent 700$$ at this place and get stopped at the door after we paid for all our things to check for an item that was paid for and shown was paid for in the receipt but since the sensor had a mouth function she made us stop dig through all our bags to find a pair of sunglasses that were paid for and on the recipe. 2:45 on 7/4/14 working the east door way older lady. Extremely rude and unprofessional and cursed at us when we tried to say If it's on the receipts & on the scanner but she yelled and was disrespectful.
