It's about 1.5 hours from Houston, but it turned out to be a really fun family outing. The visitor center has Blue Bell history, vintage ice cream equipment, a viewing area for the production line, and plenty of cute photo spots. But honestly, we came for the ice cream. The $1 servings were surprisingly generous. We tried Mango, Birthday Cake, Homemade Vanilla, Salted Caramel Brownie, Triple Chocolate, and even a no-sugar-added flavor. Birthday Cake was our daughter's favorite, while I liked the Salted Caramel Brownie the most. My only complaint is that there isn't enough here to justify the drive by itself. I'd definitely combine it with exploring Brenham. Still, if you love Blue Bell or just really love ice cream, it's absolutely worth visiting once. And yes, we ate way too much ice cream.

In fact , I've only seen the coconut flavor once at Randall's, some 10-15 years ago. Also on display were America's 250th celebration, such as flag and the year 25p stacked. Plz see the attached photos. The ice cream itself was absolutely delicious. Rich n creamy. The pistachio. Flavor was also delicious. The decor was nice. Ice cream posters and stacked displays. What the shameful part was that the employees were very unfriendly and disgruntled. I mean, how hard can it be to serve ice cream to patrons, especially little kids who are so looking forward for a treat. The world can be so cruel and harsh and unfair for these workers, to be so upset and bored at work. Do yourself a favor blue bell!!!! Replace and hire others who actually would enjoy working at a creamery/ parlor.

The cold brew was also very good! I tried the chocolate peppermint and my husband had the strawberry vanilla (I can't remember the name) and then we had a regular cold brew refill. We ordered a few breakfast items. For $11.50, per item, you can't beat it. I stepped out of my comfort zone and had the blue bayou, husband had the eggs Quixote and then we also tried the spinach quiche. All were a great portion size and very good. I wasn't leaving without trying the tea. The tea selection is out of this world. I could have stayed here the entire day trying all of them out. I ended up selecting one of the specials, the pineapple, which was a mix of pineapple, apple and pear. It was refreshing and not too sweet - as the owner said, "it won't be McDonalds sweet". I could have stayed here all day reading a book and drinking tea. If you are in town or passing through, I highly recommend stopping in.

We sat down we were greeting right away, got waters and ordered. Well then our server came back and said they were not serving lunch but they had a small breakfast menu and a large lunch menu that they were hi h g everyone when being sat. I wanted a BLT which should not be hard to make bc it's just bacon, lettuce and tomato but they should they could t make that, my sister also wanted a chicken sandwich why h they couldn't make either. Well as we were waiting for our food. We saw someone being served a burger and a salad. When we asked about it she then came and said that they could not do chicken or green beans from lunch menu. Maybe they should have a breakfast only menu. People in my party feel like maybe they were being like that bc we were not white. As I walked to bathroom I saw more burgers and fries. Well I asked if I could order a side of fries and our server asked the kitchen and they said they weren't doing lunch. But other people were ordering lunch. Our server was good. It wasn't her fault that the kitchen didn't tell her they were not doing lunch even tho they were making lunch. Just very very disappointed
