If giving one star will help. This store is so unorganized, I'm referring directly to the online shopping. I ordered my son who attends the local college some groceries and chose to pick up 24 hours later. First they sent me a notification that there was a delay, secondly, they sent notification that there was a delay. Now push forward to pick up date! My son goes to the location and calls the number to advise he is in the parking spot. (no answer). 30 minutes later someone comes out and asks for his name but never comes back. This is ridiculous and I only choose Walmart because it is convenient to his school. Lastly, I try reaching out to the store directly, only to be listening to the phone constantly ring with no one picking up. I hope they get it together for the sake of the kids that attend the local college or I will have to report this to BBB for answers. read more

When I was younger, I'd visit Hard Rock Cafes as I traveled for tshirt mementos. As a young adult/young married, I'd stop in Starbucks for coffee mug mementos. Now 20+ years into married life, 45 states and 11 countries later, my vacation stops always seem to feature a Walmart. Forgotten items, snacks, simple groceries for our Airbnb - you name it, I'm stopping in to get it. This was a decent sized Walmart with shelves that were actually stocked. Happy times. read more

This location is not enforcing health ordinances. Approx 20-30% of customers without masks on and no one correcting them. Dangerous shopping experience and place of employment. If you ARE wearing a mask when entering, which the signs say you have to, they simply say "Thank You for wearing a mask but they were letting mask less customers enter. Beware. read more

Every Walmart is laid out differently. Stopped in the Bluefield, VA Walmart. Despite being under COVID-19 precautions, I felt the store was pretty well-stocked. Did find a pack of toilet paper but no hand sanitizer. Staff was friendly in pointing me in the direction of the pet department. read more

The bluefield Walmart let's it's employees smoke outside by the entrance. As you walk by all the nice flowers you get a big nasty smell of cigarette smoke. Nasty!!! read more

I never appreciated the beauty of this Walmart until leaving the area after high school and going to Walmart's in other towns and cities. Growing up in Bluefield, Walmart was the center of all things. It was a place to go kill time or wander around as a high schooler who just got his/her license (because there really isn't much else going on in Bluefield). I remember when it was in the location where Lowe's now stands, and when the new super-center was built. I believe for a bit this was the biggest Walmart in the area? Virginia? Not sure exactly, but I do remember everyone bragging about it to others when talking about Bluefield. Everything in this Walmart is generally organized and clean, unlike many disheveled Walmart's in bigger cities and other areas. You can find so many products at cheap prices, and you're guaranteed to leave with 50 things when all you came in for was milk and eggs, but it'll still be steal with the amazing prices compared to other locations. I always find unique items here, which is honestly shocking because, well, it's in Bluefield. The workers tend to be friendly and hospitable, but you do get the occasional "just let me scan your items, don't look at/talk to me" type cashier. Still, I'm not sure we would survive without this Walmart here because there really aren't many other grocery-supermarket-everything you need in one stop shops here. I've started to go to Food City down the road a bit more for their vegetable choice, but it will never replace the pride of Bluefield: Walmart. The bakery is also surprisingly amazing. Their pre-made cakes and cupcakes have a large variety of flavors and options, and are cutely decorated! Ask for the whipped cream icing, marbled cake, and custard filling when you custom order a cake. When family visits from out of town, they have to make a stop at this Walmart before heading back home. It's always on the list of things to do when we have guests visiting Bluefield. One star docked for the extremely high chance of running into people you went to high school/elementary school/preschool with or just people you or your family know in general. Small town problems. Also, it tends to get creepy at night.... avoid after 10 PM. read more

It seem's like people all have mixed opinions when it come's to Walmart. Me, personally I love Walmart. Yes, they may take business away from the small family shop, but they have almost everything you need. Instead of having to make numberous stops at different locations you can just head to your local walmart. This Walmart is one of the largest in the East region of the United States. That may be surprising to hear considering the community it's located in. I normally purchase all my groceries and everyday use goods at this location. I can't even imagine how much money I have spent at this store. Overall i've always been satisfied with the store and the service. read more

I am not a fan of Walmart but in Bluefield they don't have many grocery options. We went early on a Sunday and had the store to ourselves. It was clean and had all we were looking for. read more

After ordering my items online and paid with my credit card I go to the store to pick up my order and they've charged my credit card twice they made me call this one 800 Walmart number who a foreigner informs me they do that one is for payment the other one is a hold to secure payment they told me it would be back on my card within 72 hours all the money I had left for Christmas now I find out today it's five or six days before they put it back so they've gotten my money for the merchandise and now they're holding the same amount for no reason I will never in my life again spend another dime at Walmart thank you for a merry Christmas Walmart sarcasm read more

A friend of mine picked up a rotisserie chicken from the Bluefield Walmart. After eating a good deal of it, she discovered the cavity of the chicken was FILLED with its internal organs and undigested food. This is sickening! Somebody in the deli should have checked the inside of this chicken before it was put out for sale. This friend has a three year old, and fortunately he didn't eat any of the chicken. This could have possibly harmed him. I do not live in the Bluefield area but I pass through there occasionally and have shopped at the Walmart before... NEVER AGAIN! read more
