We do the bulk of our shopping for non-food items at Walmart however, yesterday we needed cereal. Not familiar with the grocery section of the store my husband asked an employee in the juice aisle where he could find the cereal. The worker could not help him because he did not speak English. Do not understand why a store has an employee on the floor if he can not assist shoppers since he hasn't learned the language. Then, there were only two registers open; lines were long. Cashiers continually called back and forth in Spanish to each other, which slowed down the check out process. I find this behavior unprofessional and ineffective. read more

Ok, so I bought a $75.00 Google Play Card the other day to send to a friend that needed to buy food cuz he was running out. The card did not work at all. I am certain the card was placed at the store by a scammer. The Store Manager would not give me a new card or refund my money even with my receipt. Basically told me to deal with it with Google. WTF! if I could give no stars, I would. The store is a disgrace to Walmart. 95% of the employees I have encountered here are rude or don't speak English so they don't understand what you're saying. Meanwhile, the store manager is never in and the assistant manager is even more useless than the employees. A pig looking lady that stands around and talks all day instead of actually checking that the store is being run properly as well as helping the customers that may need it since the employees don't. I know this all too well because I have asked for management several times over the last months, As well as knowing someone who used to work here. Honestly, it's a pretty good store now. I was able to buy everything I needed and then some. The store is well-stocked (I was there in the middle of a weekday) and clean, and the selection is decent. I had at some point stopped shopping here in favor of another big box superstore, but that one's gone downhill, and Walmart is clearly picking up the slack. I also like the grocery half, it's affordable and fairly comprehensive. read more

Plus sides: the staff are really wonderful. They are kind, helpful, and courteous. The prices are fair, and the location is fantastic. Their response to the pandemic has been very good as well, however most staff don't wear their masks properly, but they at least maintain social distancing and sanitize the registers regularly. Down sides: They put their entire stock out on the floor for clothing so when it's gone, it's gone. It can be really hard to find kid/toddler clothes during season change, because it all gets bought up so quick and they don't re-stock. The bathrooms are usually unkempt. But if you tell a staff about it they're very good about getting it cleaned quickly! read more

Update: talked to their loss prevention person who denies anyone is being stopped at the doors and detained... She also thought it was a laughable matter that I felt threatened by an older man. The detainment happened when he put his body blocking my ability to go forward and his putting his hand on my carriage to stop any movement. I had already handed the receipt to the girl. I thought of I didn't comply, he WAS going to hit me with the heavy duty hanger! Today as I was leaving a person DEMANDED to see my receipt. So I casually asked if I was being accused of shoplifting to which she said it's Private property and we need to see your receipt. So as I was pulling the receipt out of my purse, I said it's not private property because the public has access. Then another guy came up and blocked my carriage took a heavy duty hanger out of the carriage and was pointing it at me up and down and said you can not leave until we see the receipt.. Now I was being threatened because of the way he was yielding the hanger, blocking my carriage and demanding the receipt after I gave it to the girl. That was definitely assault as I felt threatened and kidnapping as they would not let me leave. Walmart needs to train their receipt checkers to prevent assault charges against them. As I was leaving the both of them were laughing! It's not a game people as I left shaking. I'm 65 years old and I checked out thru a cashier and everything was bagged up! I noticed the customer before me was young and they did not stop him from leaving but they didn't ask him for a receipt. So maybe a little age discrimination was thrown in also! I was shopping in store and saw Barbie reveal dolls on a center isle cardboard display at $9.99. On back shelf, in dolls they were 24.99. I took one off the $9.99 shelf to a Walmart employee and asked if he could scan it to see if they were $9.99. He said it scanned at $24.99. I showed him the shelf and put the doll back. He said he was the store manager and said take it to a register and I would get it for $9.99 and he apologized and grabbed a floor person to correct the shelf. I wait a typical half hour in line to check out to have the elderly cashier scowl at me and say, "We don't do that". I told her call the manager and she scowls at me and gos to the service desk and I see them all shake their heads and nobody calls anybody. She comes back to me and curtly says I'm not dealing with that and looks at me like I'm a crook. I told her to keep the doll and I would purchase the other items and then go find that manager. She said she could care less. I checked out and went back to the toy department. The manager is nowhere to be found, the shelf is relabeled, the floor person can hardly speak English. I managed to get out of her the manager had a meeting. By the time I left my blood was boiling over a doll I really wasn't shopping for because they are way overpriced. I call this the typical Amherst NH Walmart experience. I contacted Walmart corporate via e-mail and got the typical boxed response. We will look into it, yeah right. read more

If I could, I would give it zero stars, prices suck, and I bought a defective cartridge from them that was clearly labeled as something that was supposed to work for my printer, only it was defective and they refuse to refund my money. Store manager gave the royal runaround. The store policy is absolute shit, won't return my money even though the item is defective all because I opened it to check to see if it worked and my printer could not even read the cartridge. Waste of money, would not shop here shop ELSEWHERE, anywhere else. They won't even do an exchange for me. Walmart and everyone in it can suck it as far as I'm concerned. Customers should be able to return items opened or not, I'm an honest person, why would I lie? The woman store manager does not care if you say anything to her the only response, she constantly repeats rather than answering any questions is you don't have to come back here you can go elsewhere. I regularly go to this Walmart. Biggest concern is how often the shelf space for what I want is empty. It doesn't matter the time or the day of the week, common items are missing. Few examples, large tubs of low fat Walmart cottage cheese, quarts of Walmart half n half, Roll Gold pretzel sticks (Walmart brand are not nearly as good.). The store manager needs to be changed to get someone there who has a much better handle on inventory management. read more

There was three open with a cashier watching them and on two cashiers runny two regular registers ... We waited a half hour to check out ... and that was @ 8:30 pm I wasn't the only person to complain about the way things were being run ... others did as well I feel the service was rather poor ... Walmart does not honor valid returns. I ordered a Sherpa throw and two sage green pillow cases from Walmart.com. I received two white pillow cases. I followed the returns process online, opted to return it to a store and printed the Store Returns Receipt. On 12/10/2020 I drove the 16 miles to the Walmart Supercenter and spoke to a clerk and manager at the Services Desk at 2:45pm. They refused to provide a refund - the reason given was that I didn't have the external bag that the items originally shipped in. Who saves that? This was not indicated on the Returns Receipt. The pillow case packaging was unopened and made of clear plastic making it obvious that it was the wrong item. While at the desk, I called my credit card company and cancelled the payment of $28.39. I drove 16 miles and wasted over an hour for this nonsense. Regarding the Sherpa throw, I received an email two days after placing the order that the order was cancelled due to "high demand". I lost the opportunity to give that item as a gift. Most online stores are intelligent enough to indicate that an item is out of stock rather than leading the customer on a wild goose chase. I will never order anything from Walmart again. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Rude, unprofessional staff. The photo department is a joke. You pick up in electronics but that's not even where the photos are stored. After not receiving my online order (site to store) and dealing with misinformation I was told to contact the store. 50 times the phone rang without answer. I went to the store where they couldn't find my order and their system was down. Told me the best they could do is have me redo the order on 1 hr photo. After replacing the order on their in store system I asked the employee Justin if he could honor the price online and maybe expedite the order because of the issue. He rudely told me everyone is waiting for photos and I had to wait. He also asked me if I was just mad for no reason and taking it out on him. I never raised my voice but he accused me of yelling and taking it out on him. He then came back to make nice after realizing how he acted towards me and told me my order would be next and take about 10/15 min. I went to the restroom and saw no one in the photo lab and the machine was not printing anything. After another 10 min my husband asked someone what the hold up was and they said the machine was broken and they were gonna start working on it now. So basically he lied. And also no one in that store cares about people or customer service. We left all the items we intended to purchase and we will never step foot in that place again. read more

Having to listen to the employees vent their personal problems to the other employees. After 10/15 minutes, I'm able to ask my question about wanting to purchase an adult male bike for Christmas and if the store could hold it , due to not having a big enough car to borrow till Saturday. "No, that would be too long. You can have it held for a few hours, and that is it",I was told. I never intended on not paying for the bike and ask for it to be held. Staff is the most unfriendliest people around. Never can find a help when you need it. Let alone someone that knows what a table cloth clip is (and kid it's not a small clamp that you find in hardware!) When it comes to handicapp accessabilty it is out right... none! There are three entrances, only one will have it registers open! I shop here all the time and im always satisfied. However, this is in regard to the ship to store deal. I ordered a K and N air filter for my furnace and had shipped to this store. I got emails telling me it had arrived and the last day to pick it up was 9/5 by 8pm. I got there at 4pm on the 5th (today) and they tell me it was cancelled and sent back. So it was sent back on the 4th when was supposed to still be there for me on the 5th. Idiots. read more

Looking for clothes? No one is there to help you in the men's section, or shoe section, or pretty much any section. Looking for a computer? Most staff are not knowledgeable about the products. Problem is, they treat their customers as bad as their employees. This huge corporation makes billions of dollars in profits, but shunts all of the oney away from the workers, so much so that most Walmart employees literally eed food stamps to get by. That's shameful. Perhaps if they finally paid their employees more than $9 an hour, they would have more employees on hand, and more competent ones at that. I agree, this store is the absolute pits, even for a WalMart. The people who shop there are a trip, they are all rude and push right into you or past you, never mind if they can't fit by you, they will just shove you right out of the way. You either encounter Marty Mullet or Large Marge in Charge(of blocking the aisle while talking to her equally bovine friend),and then, when you think your shopping experience has reached the limit in good clean fun and hijinks you get to deal with one of the nasty cashiers who are more concerned with their own problems than waiting on you. Just try being nice to one of them, I DARE you, all they do is stare at you and glare, talk about the height of rudeness. I haven't even stepped foot in this store in probably two years now, don't plan on going there ever again if I can help it, just where do all these weirdos come from anyway? read more

I wish there was more variety at this store. The prices and hours are great. Parking, especially on Black Friday and leading up to the holiday season needs to be improved. I went with my cousin once on Black Friday and it was so hectic that we had to park across the street and cross a busy highway just to get to the store. Then once we got in, things were not where they usually are, making it harder to find stuff. For example, toys would be in the clothing section, DVDs would be in the grocery section, etc. It just could have been better organized. However, on a normal day, it's fairly easy to find things, and their deals are pretty good. I've gotten whole seasons of TV shows for $10 there before....not bad, when you typically pay $30+ for them elsewhere. read more
