They remodeled the store- looks great- but the bathrooms are very small and you have to sit under the toilet paper dispesnser? They clearly could have made them more spaced out... I am not huge- and feel so bad for bigger ladies. Sad.. There is sooooooo much wasted space everywhere- wide- very wide ( you can fit 4 carts side by side in some aisles) aisles but VERY small bathroom stalls. Customer service not very friendly and you cant get change for a $10? Thought they had money at the store. Meijers will give you change for lots of money. Cashed in a winning ticket - not very friendly - opened the cash draw took out a $50 and handed it to me- common sense- is a 50 dollar bill ok? Can't open drawer- yes you can...... My husband got his oil changed for his truck and tires rotated. He was very impressed with the staff's professionalism. They had employees double check his truck after rotating tires to make sure lug nuts were tightened and everything operated properly. Great job!! read more

I stopped in at 4:30pm and priced some tires. I asked if they could get me in and the associate said he had to ask, he went in back and I heard him ask one of the auto techs and I heard the guy reply very friendly "yeah I can do it right now!" The other three reviews are freak accidents from a few years ago, ( the reviewers have obviously never been to Jackson haha ) all staff in this Walmart has never been anything but helpful and friendly, very cheap prices and the store is taken care of better than most. The store is losing ground. Their remodel barely touched on any improvements important to the customer. There are too few employees where they're needed, with others picking up the slack as best they can. Lower staff morale is noticeable to the customers and largely either unaddressed or worsened by management, with many losing respect for the store and even the company image. If this store can't get it together they should 'rollback' to what they were before they became a supercenter. At least then we might have enough staff. read more

We waited and waited and finally on black Friday, the fireplace console we really wanted went on sale at walmart.com. we ordered it, waited for it to get shipped to the store and today we got the email it was in. We go up to Walmart and the guy brought out the wrong fireplace. I said, "that's not the right one..." and he said "well this is what they sent us for you, so you'll have to return it here then call walmart corporate and get a new item shipped." Fine, whatever. We wait another 10 minutes to get a return and we leave. Get home, call walmart and because the return was done in store we can't order the item over the phone for the black friday price. Thanks, Walmart! Never shopping in store or online again. read more

Went into Walmart to get a cart and all of the carts in the front of rows had papers/garbage of some kind in them. I pulled out a cart that was not cluttered and started to tell the greeter at the door of the carts needing cleaned up but she was too busy talking away. I saw 2 employees (one employee tag seemed to be a supervises/managers or what ever title they use) and I asked if she could look at the carts. She immediately called for someone. When I was done shopping I was stopped and asked by the 'greeter' to see my receipt. I asked why and she said they did it all the time. I said I had not seen it in 9 years I had been coming there. She barely even looked at my receipt and said I could go and went back to her conversation with a woman sitting beside her position. I was annoyed and came back in and asked for a supervisor. The supervisor that came to talk started out by asking what I needed and when I started to tell her she said 'huh' before I got the first sentence finished. Her final explanation was anything not in a bag was to be checked. I told her that I was the only one I had seen being checked and never had been previously for not bagging items. It was curious that after I pointed out the dirty carts on my way in the women saw me coming and stopped me . Anyway, I guess it is this stores policy that if I save bags and their plastic by not bagging large items with handles (today it was Snuggle Liquid) I might be a criminal so best we all bag every single item. Gallons of water, 6 packs of drinks, cases of items, items with handles..... well, you get the idea even if Walmart doesn't. read more

I've been a Walmart shopper for years but this location has crossed a line with racial profiling. My husband and I are white and our children are adopted and African-Africa. At the Adrian Wal-mart on August 22 my husband and two kids were buying some groceries, and my husband was also getting a 6-pack of beer. The employee at self-checkout checked his ID as required and then asked if these were his kids. My spouse asked why they needed to know that? Not that it's their business, but yes they're ours! He was told the store policy allows employees to question customers and ask if the kids with the customer are their own. I'm sorry but when my a multiracial family has to worry about brining identification to "prove" we legally adopted our kids it's going to far. It was such a bizarre interaction and to have the store say that it's okay is far from acceptable. I'm disappointed that the management at the Adrian Walmart backed up the employee and stands by this sort of customer relations strategy. read more

The employees here are almost always clueless. They never know where anything is and act like helping customers is not part of the job. The cashiers are almost always rude and don't understand how to make polite small talk. I would suggest if you need to go shopping in Adrian to go to a diffrent store. read more

Today I went to my local Walmart store to purchase groceries & to return some unopened movies that I had purchased at an earlier time. I could not find the receipt asking to get sore credit .The price of my returns was over the store policy without a receipt , which I was unaware of. I asked if I could return just a couple of them then, being aware of their policy now. The store manager Peggy, ( This being at the Adrian, MI store approximately about noon)abruptly stepped into the conversation between the cashier & myself , then bluntly stated ,"I know what you are doing!" I was beyond myself by her statement. I calmly responded, you just lost a long time customer do to her response. I walked out to my car , thankfully with more searching I found my receipt to the movies. Returning back into the store with my receipt & movies to return I stood back in line. As Store Manager Peggy walked by I had spoke with her. She stated that she had in hand to deliver to a near by location in the store. So, waited my turn in line & she returned, appearing to want nothing to do with me. When she appeared to have a free moment,I stated that I still wanted to speak with her. When given that moment, I had stated that I'm now aware of their policy & did not have any issues with that until she BLUNTLY stated,"I know what you are doing" I informed her calmly & with more respect then she apparently gave me that her statement was rude, unprofessional, & uncalled for. Store Manager Peggy responded, simply "Okay." & walked away. I will no longer be a customer at the Adrian Walmart Store due to my experience today. A strong suggestion for Store Manager Peggy's Superiors is she could use a few more courses on being more tactful & professional! read more
