I have been grocery shopping at the Neighborhood Market for some time, so when my doctor asked where I would like for him to call in my prescriptions, I said the Wal Mart Neighborhood Market. BIG MISTAKE! It was about an hour before I arrived at the Neighborhood Market. I went to the pharmacy. There was one woman in front of me, obviously with some problems. The employee helping her finally told her to come back in so many minutes. Then, this employee went to the drive thru area and got into a phone conversation which lasted about 15-20 minutes. Another employee who must have returned from lunch or break went directly to the consultation area, picked up the phone and engaged in a lengthy conversation. Meanwhile, I was standing there waiting along with 6-8 other pharmacy customers. The two pharmacists on duty were filling prescriptions. Watching the two employees continue to converse, oblivious to the waiting customers, was infuriating!! Finally, one of the pharmacists came to help me. It was then I discovered I was in a "fax box"". She said she would fill my prescriptions and it would be about 30 minutes. So, I went through the store, picking up a few items to fill the time. When I returned, one of the telephone talkers went behind the pharmacy counter to find my prescriptions. Her smirks and lack of any semblance of customer care were insulting. She was abrupt and apparently does not like her job. All in all, this experience will prevent me from ever returning to this pharmacy. I did mention to the pharmacist that maybe a manager could help them get organized. "This is the way we work," she said. I have never had an issue at the Super Wal Mart and that is where I will go next time. I realize Wal Mart is decreasing their employee base, but why not keep GOOD employees instead of those who are slack and care nothing for the customers?? read more
