The Long Version: I love Place Alexis Nihon because it has both a Winners AND a Marshalls, my favourite stores to shop at, lol. Well, my newest obsession is house plants, so on my on my most recent trip to Place Alexis Nihon, I had to check out this Canadian Tire to see their plant section. I was a bit surprised to see that they have a little temperature and humidity controlled greenhouse. I saw temperature and humidity gauges around and it felt warmer and more humid in there than regular indoor environments. All the other Canadian Tire stores I've been to, just have their plants in an area in their store, but not climate controlled to be different than the rest of the store. Anyway, it was fun poking around. Since I was on vacation and traveling by train, I was limited in what I could buy, so I didn't make any plant purchases, but they had really cute mini Swiss Cheese plants. I love plants with fenestrated leaves but they are mostly huge, but they had small ones here. As you all know, I'm an equal opportunity shopper, lol, I'll look at plants from big box stores as well as small plant boutiques. I went to the store around 11:00 AM, to find that they only open at 1:00 PM. I called the store to point that out, and the young lady who answered was nonchalant about my complaint. The management of that store lacks competence.

One of the cashiers wrapped the end of the trellis' i bought today so they didn't puncture the bag (seriously who woulda thought or bothered to do that??) And they are frequently thoughtful in this way. Organization is pretty decent. Stock is better than most...not as good as the super mega sized $amas but they have mostly everything u would go there for and a few things that make u go "ahhhh kool! Check this out!". We were so psyched that we didn't see anything like what we had in the U.S. Incredible style, quality and selection. And I had a walking stick with me and lost it in the store. Customer service found it days later and called me. We picked it up and I wrote the CEO to let him know how grateful I was. He wrote me a wonderful thank you note in response. If I can ever get back to that store again, I'm there. Otherwise, it's online shopping there forever more.

However, Costco makes this part a breeze with efficient line ups, clearly marked areas for waiting, multiple lines for entry or returns. I felt very comfortable going there today; the pandemic made me very hesitant on visiting retailers for fear of unorganized COVID regulations. Walking in was a breeze with a little over 10 minutes to get in. Sanitizers are available in multiple locations to ease fear of getting infected. Paying at the cash was quick and easy and distances are clearly marked on the ground before you pay. If you're into social distancing, I'd stay away from inner isles and stick to the outer ones. If feels good to slowly be able to shop, almost freely again. Thank you Costco for making me feel comfortable shopping again!

After talking to 3 people, only one person was honest to tell me that they were never ordered. i told them that I have ap roblem as my last set will be fully used in a few days. They only said that they would order and if could take a long time. They would give me copy of the order. I told them to forget it. It is obvious that there is no effort to help resolve the issue.

Thankfully the lines to fill up are not as bad as the ones in the States as there were more pumps per aisle. They were also self service as well. I did also visit the Costco Warehouse as well to get a few items I needed during my trip. This Costco overall wasn't too cumbersome to navigate. I was also able to use my Costco Visa from the states in Canada as well even though they only accept Mastercard. I was in and out with the stuff I purchased very quickly.
