I've had an ongoing issue within my personal life that has caused a few frustrations with my…read moredifferent accounts (xfinity, pg&e, and Verizon). The person who was the primary account holder of all these accounts left without warning and without transferring them to me. (He even left me to take care of two dogs who were in his name in the licenses and adoption papers.) The paperwork for everything has been a struggle and a major source of frustration all around for a long time now. I've spent two years trying to contact him and have him trade the accounts to me because I wasn't sure what else to do. Finally, after months of him assuring our mutual friend (who has been stuck in the middle of all this) that he would do it, I decided enough was enough. You can imagine my relief when Rachel was able to fix my account problems, maintain my phone number (my major concern), and swap me to my own account with only myself as the account holder. I also ended up upgrading my phone while I was there! She listened to my complicated situation, had a solution ready for me, and explained everything without confusing me or making me feel stupid. She was extremely kind and informative. She probably could have just as easily called it a lost cause and tried to get me to switch to a different phone number/account, something that would've been easier for her and far less time consuming. But instead she respected my choice and called around to find the right department to handle the transfer. It means a lot to be treated as a person. She also took the time to explain the different iPhones and helped me decide which one to upgrade to without pushing for the more expensive one. I ended up with the 11 Pro and I'm very happy with it so far. The picture quality is far beyond what I was taking on my old 8. When you're dealing with something as important as this, you want to make sure your accounts and phone are in safe hands. They sometimes have varieties that aren't in the big box stores. Today was no exception. I selected some rare succulents and proceeded to the outdoor checkstand to pay. That is where things went downhill. This usually open checkstand had a note stating it was closed and to pay inside. So back inside I went. After a short wait I approached the check stand and after the young man rang my purchases he handed me the receipt. I said well I need to pay you. And as I unzipped my RFID-shielded wallet to obtain my debit card the young male cashier said, "oh it already took your payment" (and he pointed to the "tap here" feature on the credit/debit card machine on the counter). I was flabbergasted! So after looking at the receipt I saw that the machine had charged a credit card that was located several cards deep inside my wallet in my crossbody bag that I was wearing at the time. I asked him to refund that and place the items on a debit card instead. Wow. After a brief discussion, both he and his "Lead" admitted that machine is super sensitive so my recommendations are to the consumer be careful when shopping here, and to ACE replace the machine or post a warning to customers. Lastly, the attitude of the Lead was a bit condescending - loud, and restating the obvious. And the cashier was aloof - detached and not listening.

The center of Mike's success has been Joslyne, the Assistant Manager. She has a great eye, appears to have an excellent relationship with the talented tech folks who produce the "photo Chopping" and prints I need, and communicates well. After I describe what I'm trying to accomplish, Joslyne gets it. Every time over several projects gives me back exactly what I had in my mind's eye. Two parts here. Part 1: Recently I had two entirely dissimilar photo printing projects needed. The first was taking 30 1960s slides, scanning, and making of 5 X 7 prints. Mike's Camera did a terrific job. Second, I found a 4 year old electronic image of my grandkids in front of a lighted 1/24 scale Christmas Village set painted by my sister in 1981 for my then 1 year old son. Three things I wanted done: brightening the faces of the three grandkids, second "photo-chopping" in a picture of my departed sister on top of the village/grandkids image (kind of like an angel above the grandkids), and printing some small type at bottom edge describing who/what/when. A complex image to make. Mike's Camera staff did a stunning job. I had high expectations and Mike's met or exceeded them. We have a new family treasure to pass down. While not cheap, the result was well worth the bucks. Mike's is now my "go to" shop for photographic needs. Oh Yes, the "go to" person for my work was Joslyne. She is an ace. By the time we finished talking, she knew what I expected and delivered what was in my mind's eye; not easy to do. Part 2: On 8-16-23 I sent two photographs and two documents needing "photo Chopping" to work in a book I'm writing. The two documents and one chop job, replacing a dark background with a blue sky from another picture, was perfectly done. The third image was combining a 1965 photo of 'Mr. Cool Me" on my BSA English bike into a 1967 picture of my stunning (for over 50 years now) wife on a beach in a swim suit. I did not think it was possible to make it believable we were side by side due to settings of the two pictures. Joslyne was upbeat about making it happen. Today I received the finished image and was stunned. Their was 24 year old me next to my 19 year old future wife on the beach with a wave coming in behind us that I doubt an expert could tell was a "chopped" picture. The 'Biker and the Beach Bunny" is the caption for it. Both Shari and I were startled. Okay, I'll shut up now. If you have a need for just quality prints or photograph manipulation Mike's camera is the place to go. While everyone I've talked with is pleasant and knowledgeful, I'd ask for Joslyne if you need a creative vision for the image you are trying to create. She is batting three for three; that is 100%. (Since this post in 2023, Joslyne has helped with several other projects with equal success)

I tried to fix them with photoshop and I got most but not all. They are very noticeable on the expensive giant pics on my wall now. I feel like it was a disservice to me to not offer digital copies, even for a price and even after buying x amount of pictures at the store.

This turned out to not be the case; a change in my phone plan simply "credited" me for the charges incurred by financing these items (UE Boom 2, Powerbeats headphones, phone case, glass screen protector, and portable charger - all amounting to over $400 in financed items). I was initially quite upset because I felt I'd been misled. Lacy took the time to look over my past billing statements, explain the charges and credits, and called me back to follow up about these charges. I still regret financing these items, but Lacy made me decide to stay with T-Mobile because she went above and beyond in her customer service.
