We are driving home to California from Portland and my son said he needed to throw up. He actually did throw up on the way to Portland so we stopped by this Walgreens to see if they had Dramamine for kids. The cashier at the front was a little off. As I mentioned we are driving to California and had some cans that I was looking to dispose of. I'm used to stores having a trash can in front of the store. She seemed to not want to let me throw away some of the stuff I had, although I did need to go get the medication. I let her know that I did need to purchase an item and I'm assuming her manager or someone in a higher position was coming towards the front when she asked him if she could let me throw the cans away. So thank you to him! I was able to get the motion sickness medication for my son and it was close to the freeway.

The pharmacists are nice, but somehow seem to be out of stock or get the wrong medication every stinking time. Check the drug they're giving you, count your change, count your fingers. I changed Medicare Prescription Drug Plan this year and can't go to my first choice of pharmacy, and now I am seriously thinking I need to change to one of the other "preferred" pharmacies in town.

I've gone here to pick up a prescription and for a Covid booster shot. The prescription was quick and easy. The booster shot took a bit more time than I expected. I called to get an appointment time but when we got to the store-20 minutes early-there were a number of other people waiting. The gentleman giving the booster shots was called to the drive-thru window so he was running here and there. It took an hour past my appointment time to get in and out. It would have been good to have him only working the appointments. But all places seem to be short staffed these days. This Walgreens is clean, well stocked and service is good. I will definitely be back!

Having been on the road in our RV for the last couple of weeks, some of our supplies were getting low. I wouldn't swear to it, but I think Fred Meyer stores are only found in Oregon. We've been to a few of them over the years in places like Roseburg and a few other cities in the state. They're pretty massive stores and they don't only sell groceries. If you've never been to a Fred Meyer, you'll be surprised at what you see when you get there. They have a nice deli and produce section. In addition to groceries, they sell things like clothing, furniture, beauty supplies, jewelry, toys, electronics, sports equipment, camping gear, automotive items, hardware, tools, housewares, and more. The store that I visited in Roseberg was very clean, fully stocked, and well organized. I found everything pretty well except for an eyeglass repair kit. I asked several people that worked at the store if they had them and, if so, where I could find them. I got lots of answers like: "I work in groceries section," "I don't know," "Try clothing and apparel,""I'm only in charge of putting up signs," and, "This is the employee area, so they're not here." I finally found an employee in the tool area that told me all the checkout counters have them. Bingo! Sure enough, that's where they were! Overall, I like this store.
