4.5/5 stars I had my eyes checked because the last time my Opthamologist said I was developing cataracts. Andrea Gray was recommended to me by another doctor which made me feel better despite the low review. I had been concerned since one eye had changed where I could see close better than distance. I made an appointment with no problem, received reminders and was given information to for the appointment via text which was so easy. The person at the front desk welcomed me and gave me paperwork to fill out upon arrival. I had little waiting time before I was called in. A technician took information and Dr. Andrea Gray came in to do the testing. Testing was thorough. I shared my concerns with Dr. Gray and she explained everything well. I do have a cataract on mush right eye. Life on the water took a toll as that was the eye that faced the ocean when at the wheel. She said it was normal for one eye to have a shift in prescription from a cataract. Instead of surgery right away, she gave me a prescription that allowed me to use my left eye for distance and right for seeing close. If that prescription didn't work for me, we can always have the surgery in the future. This is wonderful as some would push surgery. She was very knowledgeable, explained everything thoroughly and I felt comfortable with her. I do recommend Dr. Andrea Gray and will be very happy going back to her. read more

Complete shysters. I went here for a vision check and specified beforehand that I did NOT want any medical checks. During my visit Dr Billingsley he says I have the beginnings of Cataracts and then said "forget that he ever said that". Then when checking out they say I owe a co-pay. HUH??? Because he said I SUPPOSEDLY have the beginnings of cataracts they are going to charge both my vision insurance AND MY MEDICAL INSURANCE (and charge me a co-pay). This is complete and total INSURANCE FRAUD!!! I hope it's worth it to them to lose a patient, because I WON'T be back. read more

Wow! I see a lot of unwarranted fabrications on this thread. And many phonies who pretend to be disgruntled patients! My experience with the staff has been everything of thoroughness and kindness! I'll get to seeDr Varner - Gray after getting reassigned togerafterDr Erickson not being in practice there anymore! I went all through Jr Jr High to High school with Dr Varner-Gray. She came from a good family and was a model student and kind person and I see she grew up to be a great person! Her father may have fitted a lot of your mouths and/or your-children's mouths with braces. yep! Ever one of you with genuine rants, then boo hoo. Buck up and grow up buttercup! Just remember what goes upup, must go down! I'm not convinced by all the negatives on this thread! All the positives, I see a lot of emotional intelligence and class! i'm disabled as well and I've never experienced anything short of professional and kinds from the hard-working staff in the office! any of you ranters are on head meds, get a prescription increase and if you're not on them, get on them though! read more

This a follow up review. 2/7/2022 Just had a call from Gray's! They're office manager gave me a very nice apology for how I was treated. Sadly we couldn't agree they're mask policy of forcing people to reschedule they're appointments or making them go "get a free mask at Albertsons" if they forget to bring a mask is good patient care. I really appreciated the call back and apology but until they're mask policy changes or dare I say we can stop having mandatorily wear them, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Erickson yesterday as an emergency patient. The staff was very professional, reminding me to wear a mask when I called on the phone to make my appointment. They got me in right away, as my condition warranted. I waited an appropriate time in both the waiting room and the treatment room and Dr Erickson was very professional and communicated carefully and thoroughly. Having owned my own healthcare business in Illinois, I understand the constant pressures of running it, especially during the Covid crisis. Prices on PPE have basically multiplied 5-fold or more and small business owners like Dr Gray and Erickson have shouldered the brunt of it. This doesn't excuse lack of tact if an errant staff member really did suggest getting free masks somewhere else, but that was a terrible mistake a staff member did, not the Drs. As far as doctoring goes, I had a terrible emergency, I was courteously treated with respect and TLC, the Dr took his time with me and made sure to get me appointed the following day (today) before the weekend. They have a stunning office, I can only imagine the overhead. It is well-staffed with capable, well-trained people, and I heartily recommend going here. In the small town of Roseburg, when one looks up "Opthomologists" on Yelp, there are none. I was very happy to have found one that treated me with kind and very capable hands. read more

I had an appointment with her in January. The office told me they had to cancel because she does surgery on Tuesdays. Well today I called because I have pain in my eye like I did two months ago and they told me she wasn't even there in January I don't know what's going on. I've been a patient for years. She did two surgeries. I will never go back and you better not either because she does not care anymore. They did tell me they could probably get me in in July. read more

A past patient of this institution I recall waiting greater than 30 min in the waiting and exam room combined. No worries I didn't complain. I was overall happy with my visit even though no one apologized for MY wait. However, fast forward today with DR. ERICKSON. My meeting ran long I called ahead ( leaving a vm) stating I'd be 10 min late. When I arrived the receptionist said she had to " check with the doctor." " Bad news" she states. " The Dr. says you knew your zoom meeting wAs going to be late when you called." Well, yes that's why I called..... He wont see you but "if you want to be on time tomorrow he will. " Incredulous I persisted, really? Are you serious?" Yes, she said would you like to reschedule?" She went on "you're supposed to arrive 30 min early or didn't anyone tell you ?" Hmm.. Now that you mention it , no! Perhaps in this time of entitlement it includes Dr Erickson? One standard for physicians but another for lowly patients? As a health care worker in a new management position ( because of Covid) and now only a part time business owner I don't have the luxury of cutting out of a mandatory zoom meeting that ran a smidge long. Working a 60 hour week leaves little time to schedule any appointments. I'll find another provider that respects hard working individuals efforts. Condescending questions, patronizing comments by the " doctor" reek of ignorance. A quick check with a few friends reveal a wait of greater than 10 min with this provider. They didn't refuse to see him. Hypocrisy. read more

EXTREMELY OVERPRICED, frames cracked within a year, currently replacing from another eyeglass business which will be ready in an hour vs 2 weeks GRAY had to take to process......OVERALL impressive lobby BUT s#@$ty otherwise read more

If you have a disability I absolutely DO NOT recommend this place. The staff appeared to not be able to communicate with people with a disability. I recommend training for the entire staff. read more

The new office is very nice. The location, just of the I5, is incredibly convenient and easy to get to. The office houses a large supply of glasses and other accessories. read more

The place was clean and brilliantly decorated, they ran a complete battery of tests, the employees were accommodating and respectful, and the doctor was wonderful! I definitely appreciate the consultants on the floor to answer questions about financial aspects of the frames or to help you find a good pair. read more
