I had been diagnosed before Covid with a cataract starting in my right eye. I researched and found…read morea doctor in Roseburg but he was no longer here but he recommended Dr. Andrea Gray. I met with Dr. Gray and confirmed there was only a problem in my right eye. She gave me a chance to try glasses for the left eye only and keep the cataract as it was good close up and the other would be for distance. I had trouble adjusting to two different visions so we set up an appointment for surgery at the Vision Surgery and Laser Center. Someone called me to do a pre check-in. It was quick and easy. They sent texts to confirm my appointment and sent instructions for the day of the surgery. I arrived the day of the surgery with all my necessary items was greeted and check in was fast. I felt comfortable in the office. I was called back and was given a big comfy recliner with a warm blanket to rest before surgery. The nurse was nice and explained everything that would happen and how I may feel during surgery. They put a line in your arm so they can give you a 'twilight' anesthesia. The nurse had worked in the Operating Room fir 32 years so I knew she was capable of whatever was needed. Dr. Gray came in to be sure I was ok and ready. They took me to surgery and the next I know I was in recovery. I didn't remember anything about the surgery. The center is run extremely well with top notch support and medical staff. They cover everything to make you feel at ease with the surgery. The place is clean and, yet, warm and comfortable. A 5/5 is not enough for what they do from check-in through check-out!!

Andrea Gray was recommended to me by another doctor which made me feel better despite the low review. I had been concerned since one eye had changed where I could see close better than distance. I made an appointment with no problem, received reminders and was given information to for the appointment via text which was so easy. The person at the front desk welcomed me and gave me paperwork to fill out upon arrival. I had little waiting time before I was called in. A technician took information and Dr. Andrea Gray came in to do the testing. Testing was thorough. I shared my concerns with Dr. Gray and she explained everything well. I do have a cataract on mush right eye. Life on the water took a toll as that was the eye that faced the ocean when at the wheel. She said it was normal for one eye to have a shift in prescription from a cataract. Instead of surgery right away, she gave me a prescription that allowed me to use my left eye for distance and right for seeing close. If that prescription didn't work for me, we can always have the surgery in the future. This is wonderful as some would push surgery. She was very knowledgeable, explained everything thoroughly and I felt comfortable with her. I do recommend Dr. Andrea Gray and will be very happy going back to her.

During my visit Dr Billingsley he says I have the beginnings of Cataracts and then said "forget that he ever said that". Then when checking out they say I owe a co-pay. HUH??? Because he said I SUPPOSEDLY have the beginnings of cataracts they are going to charge both my vision insurance AND MY MEDICAL INSURANCE (and charge me a co-pay). This is complete and total INSURANCE FRAUD!!! I hope it's worth it to them to lose a patient, because I WON'T be back.

I went to see Dr David Patterson right after I had surgery to remove a tumor. It was really weird, he repeatedly said things a certain way - trying to trigger me- I was really puzzled. The way he said is very unique- which made me pay attention. Dr. David Patterson - as my doctor- I trusted him. Told him personal things about me. He's my Doctor- everything' I told him myself he weaponized it and used against me. I was seeing a psychiatrist. ( They are totally useless; don't bother. She had recommendations about treatment - and Evergreen shut it down . Part of my treatment was getting another Doctor- not David Patterson. They said I would have fill out paperwork and a board would review it. I have top- tier insurance. That is unacceptable. I heard this weird feeling about Dr. David Pay. My Husband wrote me admitting he got in touch with my Doctor- him pretended he was a Doctor saying how I was dangerous and fleeing from the law in California. Not true . Not hard to find out. I was unstable, I was dangerous around children- etc. etc. I had to say something- because it is wrong. Dr David Patterson shared private HIPA information with a person he didn't know over the phone. Then used it against me without verifying it. There were so many problems with this facility- from making appointments to Paying the bills.I don't know what I'm going to do next. I was a fragile patient , recovering from Cancer Sx, and he purposefully made my life so hard. Until I was able to pull myself out of it- at first blaming myself. Doctors I have now are straightening this out for me in my head thoughts. He horribly gas lighted me. Was stupid enough to believe some voice of a person know, using information against me that wasn't even true. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I have proof now.

While in the exam room she had a mask on while she spoke to me and I had a bit of a challenge understanding what she said so she spoke louder. It would have been considerate to me if she lowered it so I could understand her better. Also, when the eye exam was done, she moved her rolling chair far from me and finished explaining the possible options for my eye needs. She had a mask on, if she really believed that they make a difference, she wouldn't have needed to get so far as if to prevent her from possibly contracting a disease from me. When she had suggested I see a specialist out of town, she seemed to not like that I'd call around to get information about other possible eye doctors. Finally, the office used a machine that checks the retina in the eye and it really was exceptionally bright for me. I've never been exposed to such intense brightness and it was extremely uncomfortable. Not planning on going back.
