I went to Walgreen's yesterday to get my meds and I have a new insurance that became effective 11/1/18. They informed me that they don't take my blue cross policy and my refill would be $90.00. I got my prescription back and went to CVS where I met Tim and Brett. Immediately, I was welcomed by both of them. Tim actually said "Hi, nice to meet you, I will be happy to be your new pharmacist." I was thinking wow!! Thats awesome that he introduced himself to me that way!! I immediately felt welcome!! He and Brett were really nice and friendly and had no issues with my insurance. They both really went that extra mile for me. Also, I must say that Dianne and Kelly that work in the front of the store are so awesome and friendly. They are always helping out when I need help. With the help of Tim, Brett, Dianne, and Kelly, CVS is a store and pharmacy that I hope I will be using for all meds and other stuff that I may need. (I forgot to mention in this review that I used CVS about 15 years ago and the people in the pharmacy did not seem to care about my needs or other customers needs then...if you haven't used CVS pharmacy in a long time, you should really think about giving them another try..they are awesome now...or at least Tim and Brett are awesome. I wish I knew the lady's name that helped me today to put her name in this review because she was very nice also.)

We have used a pharmacy in Leesville for years because we lived north of there. They weren't able to have her medicine until the following day in Leesville. Therefore, my wife reached out to Oakdale Drug to see if they could help. It was very late in the afternoon and they were about to close. After explaining everything to the lady that answered the phone, ( Rita ) she told my wife she would wait for me to get there with the script and she would fill it for us. After that we decided to switch all of our medicines to this pharmacy. They are so amazing! Fast and friendly! I highly recommend them.

Walgreens ran out of a very common medication which I needed for surgery (happening that same…read moreafternoon). They told me they could transfer the prescription to another Walgreens, I would just need to contact them and make sure they had the medication in stock. I went to the Leesville Walgreens and they told me they would not allow the prescription to be transferred. They said my Doctor needs to send the prescription directly to them, it can not be transferred from another Pharmacy (Even if it is another Walgreens). I told them that the Alexandria Walgreens said it could be transferred, their Pharmacist just needed to speak directly with Alexandria's Pharmacist. The girl helping me was being polite and so I told her what Walgreens had told me to do and it was for my surgery that was happening that afternoon. A Pharmacy Tech came from behind the wall with her voiced raised telling me it's the law..... They can't transfer prescription from one Pharmacy to the next! After she finished her rant, I said "I am not sure why you are speaking to me like this. I am not arguing with anyone I was explaining to the Tech what the other Walgreens had told me. She said "Oh, I thought you were arguing!" She walked away and the lady helping me just shook her head as the girl walked away. I then said to the Tech, " I promise I wasn't trying to argue, I was just trying to let you know what was told to me. She said "I know you weren't arguing, it's ok!" I called my Doctor's office and let them know what was going on. My Doctor was in Surgeries that day so his office was scrambling trying to get as hold of him to get another prescription sent to Leesville Walgreens so I could have my procedure done in a few hours.

I called Messina's and they were able to offer me a flavored medication for my 10 month old. Not it were they able to fill it within minutes, I didn't have to call the doctor or ask the bogus pharmacy anything. They took care of it all. They gave me very detailed instructions and displacing supplies to help mix and give. I was treated like an individual with meds and not a number. They offer a variety of over the counter medications but as limited as one would expect from a small private pharmacy. I'm officially bringing all my business to them.
