Walgreens ran out of a very common medication which I needed for surgery (happening that same afternoon). They told me they could transfer the prescription to another Walgreens, I would just need to contact them and make sure they had the medication in stock. I went to the Leesville Walgreens and they told me they would not allow the prescription to be transferred. They said my Doctor needs to send the prescription directly to them, it can not be transferred from another Pharmacy (Even if it is another Walgreens). I told them that the Alexandria Walgreens said it could be transferred, their Pharmacist just needed to speak directly with Alexandria's Pharmacist. The girl helping me was being polite and so I told her what Walgreens had told me to do and it was for my surgery that was happening that afternoon. A Pharmacy Tech came from behind the wall with her voiced raised telling me it's the law..... They can't transfer prescription from one Pharmacy to the next! After she finished her rant, I said "I am not sure why you are speaking to me like this. I am not arguing with anyone I was explaining to the Tech what the other Walgreens had told me. She said "Oh, I thought you were arguing!" She walked away and the lady helping me just shook her head as the girl walked away. I then said to the Tech, " I promise I wasn't trying to argue, I was just trying to let you know what was told to me. She said "I know you weren't arguing, it's ok!" I called my Doctor's office and let them know what was going on. My Doctor was in Surgeries that day so his office was scrambling trying to get as hold of him to get another prescription sent to Leesville Walgreens so I could have my procedure done in a few hours. read more

Every time we try to get a prescription filled at the Leesville Walgreens, it's a pain in the xxxxx. Their computer has been down a number of times, so to fill a prescription might take hours. They also often can't even fill a prescription. I wouldn't have gone today, but the state employee insurance has eliminated a bunch of small pharmacies from their coverage, so since it was on the way home, I tried again. There was not a single other customer in the pharmacy section, but they said it would take about two hours to fill it, because their computer was down earlier and they were trying to catch up. My wife has had the same problems with them. Never again. NOTE: I have never had an issue with the Walgreens that is in my town ( but not in the way home from my grandson's doctor). read more

I was in line in drive thru before 1:30. Got up to window at like 1:32, AFTER they took almost 10 mins with the car in front of me. As I was pulling up the lady at the window put the sign in window and lowered the curtain, while she was looking me in my eyes! No wonder Walgreen pharmacies get such a bad reputation! Worst pharmacy I've ever been to. They never have a prescription filled when they say. It's usually 24 hours later. Go somewhere else! And they are closed again, in the middle of the week due to their internet being down. This is the second time in recent months. I can't pick up my meds that were supposed to be ready yesterday! read more

I went today for a new prescription I was told by the pharmacist it would be about two hours. I came back 2 hours later and was told to come back in 45 minutes. This was about 5:00. I came back around 6:30 and they were closed. This is Friday June 16 I asked the worker on the floor where the pharmacist are she replied they are closed and won't be open until Monday so I have to wait until Monday to get my medicine. The worker on the floor was nice she had apologized to me but it was not her fault. My complaint is with the pharmacist telling me to keep coming back not at least saying sorry your medication is not ready yet. Rude people I just hope I can get my medicine on Monday now . I'm struggling to give this Walgreens Pharmacy in Leesville even 1 star! They offer zero customer service. They don't answer their phone, wait time is beyond acceptable & pharmacy hours aren't sufficient! I honestly don't know how they stay in business except being in a small town with little competition the poor customers have to put up with it! Shameful, Walgreens Corporate should be alerted! I think customers should take their business elsewhere...where their patronage is earned & appreciated. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! read more

Needed my Covid booster so went online to Walgreens and scheduled an APPOINTMENT for 9:40 this morning. Get stuck, wait 15 minutes and be on my way be by 10:00. After all, this was only their second APPOINTMENT of the day so how screwed up could it be already? Easy Peezee right? Not so at Walgreens. Got there at 9:20 for my 9:40 APPOINTMENT. Waited until 10:25 and finally went back to the counter to see what had happened to my 9:40 APPOINTMENT. Oh we had a lot of WALK-INS and they are slotted in AHEAD of my APPOINTMENT! Bottom line is if you need an immunization don't bother making an APPOINTMENT at Walgreens Leesville,. Just show up and be prepared to wait a couple of hours. And really, if they lack the intelligence to handle a simple APPOINTMENT system, do you really trust them to put the right thing into your body? I don't. I went elsewhere. read more

The only reason giving 2 sars instead of one is because their is 2 people in the pharmacy area that are actually nice and help, otherwise I would give it zero. They are slow, I often have to call 2 to 3 days in a row for my refills to get filled. I. Often told it will be ready be a certain time and go to pick up and the pharmacist hasn't even started my scripts. When calling can be on hold.for 30-45 minutes and sometimes am hung up on after finally getting someone! Horrible service! read more

Absolutely atrocious! I cannot stress enough how much this pharmacy sucks! They tried to change my 30 day prescription to a 90 day prescription (which shouldn't be able to be changed in any other way except by the prescribing doctor), and when I called to rectify the issue I was told "our computer must have changed it, we can't change it back now since we already have it partially filled." On top of that, I rely on GoodRx since my insurance doesnt pay for this medication, and they completely disregarded my coupon's existence. Well, I have gotten the issue resolved by going above their heads and switched my prescription to be filled by the Walgreens in DeRidder with no problems (by the way, the DeRidder employees are MUCH nicer). Do NOT trust this pharmacy for any reason, whatsoever. read more

Literally, by far, the SLOWEST pharmacy ever. waited 45 minutes in the drive-thru as the second car. Come inside thinking it might be faster and second in line again and wait another 45 minutes with at least 3 people working? Insane. read more

Ok, so I spend a lot of time on the "AS SEEN ON TV" isle. So sue me! LOL. Anyway, the staff here is great. I love that I can use the iphone ap to order my drugs in advance and that I can send pics from my phone to be printed anywhere in the country. Makes it really easy! read more

I have been using this Walgreens for years to get my prescriptions filled. Recently they gave me the wrong medicine. I almost took it. If it wasn't for me reading over all of the leaflets that came with my prescriptions something very serious could have happened. I do not trust them anymore after this. read more
