My appointment went quite well today. The office is clean and well kept. The receptionist is attentive and thorough. The back office tech was efficient, kind and professional. The doctor is an extraordinary clinician, he has great "chair side" manners, very knowledgeable of his profession. Best place in Leesville. After a horrible experience at another place here, I took my son for a second opinion. At check in we didn't have to wait an hour past our appt time like the other place. We had Lexie for the quick testing at first and she was super sweet and friendly. She knew how to communicate to us in a friendly and professional manner and was knowledgeable in her job. Thomas vision has been my family vision center for about 12 years, always a great experience until 8.20.23. Called in to make an appointment Brianna assisted me, she was rude I just though oh maybe she's having a bad day! Nope, that wasn't the case because 9.5.23 she had the same nasty attitude.. I suffer from a TBI with PTSD, my anxiety goes through the roof when anyone is near my face and doesn't take the time to let me know what they are doing. Every step of the way, all the ladies communicated to each other my issues and Dr. Marc was so patient and kind. Even during my follow-up, any issues I had, they quickly addressed them. I wish I could give this place zero stars. First of all, I have been to this clinic twice now - both times, I had to wait about 45 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. And I had MORNING appointments. They clearly do not respect their patient's time. After my first visit, I was given a prescription that was so wrong I felt blind in one eye, and they gave me astigmatism contacts which hurt so bad my eyes watered. I went back a week later for another contact-lens checkup. After another 45-minute wait, I was seen by the doctor and given a new prescription. This time I specifically told him "I want HYDRACLEAR OASYS, with NO astig." He assured me that I will receive that kind. I go up to the front desk and they bring me Hydraclear WITH astig, except this time, the power in the right eye was even further from where it should have been. Now it was at -5.0 when it should have been at -3.75. Weird. I told the receptionist that this wasn't what I asked for - I don't want astig. The receptionist told me that I have to wear astig contacts. I told her that that last ones hurt my eyes, but after some thought I admitted that maybe it was a brand problem and agreed to try these ones since they were my preferred brand. I put them in, left, and turned straight back around because the pain in my eyes was so bad I wanted to cry. A nurse brought me to the back and asked me what the problem was. I told her that the prescription is wrong, and these are hurting my eyes because they are astig. I told her "I want HYDRACLEAR OASYS WITHOUT ASTIGMATISM." She said okay, left, and came back with Air Optix with astig. I was about to lose it at this point. I told her again, "I want Hydraclear without astig". She told me that I "HAVE" to wear astigmatism contacts because I have astigmatism. I told her I have worn the same ones for ten years and they've never bothered me. She asked me "Miss Stephanie, has anyone every told you that you have astigmatism?" Basically she thought I was in some kind of denial about mild astigmatism. I told her "yes, I get an eye checkup every year, and every year they tell me I have astigmatism but this brand always works." She then asked me if this is my first time wearing contacts. I said "No, I told you, I've worn the same contacts for ten years now." We were basically just arguing at that point. This nurse would not listen to me, the patient - I honestly don't know what her problem was. I swear I repeated and explained myself a dozen times. She finally grudgingly said she would give me non-astig contacts to try for the week. She brought me Air Optix, though, and I had to specify and ask for Hydraclear for what seemed like the billionth time. I then remembered that I was blind with this prescription - I explained that, and asked her for my old clear prescription instead of the -5 . At first she said no because she doesn't know my old prescription, and I said we should look in their computer system because last week I brought in my old prescription for them to put in their system. She looked on the computer and said it wasn't entered. So you're telling me I moved three different times cross-country with that piece of paper, I gave it to them, and they lost it? Fine - I told her I have the old contact box in my Jeep, I just have to go get it, but I can't see (because at this point I had no contacts in). She did a lift-the-arms-in-frustration movement and said "Oh! She can't see!" It was a serious wtf moment. I blindly felt my way out to the Jeep and back with my old trusty contact box. In short, she agreed to give me the prescription but told me she was "making a note that the patient requested it" because it was so different from what the doctor prescribed. She said this like some kind of threat - I was like "fine." I don't know how they got my prescription wrong twice. To top it all off, my glasses that I had sent out with them for new lenses came in today with the bad first prescription and I'll be damned if I have to pay for new lenses again. They WILL be footing the bill for the correct lens prescription. read more

I'm not even sure where to begin, there's so much say! Making an appointment that fit my schedule was quick & easy! Being able to print the new patient paperwork at home and completing it before my visit saved me the hassle of completing it at the time of my appointment. The staff was very friendly and not once did I feel like I was "wasting" time in the waiting room or eye exam areas waiting for the next phase of my appointment. They also have a pretty large selection of frames and sunglasses at very affordable prices! The office itself is AMAZINGLY CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, MODERN, WELCOMING and honestly, THE NICEST BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENT I have been to since we PCSed to Fort Polk. I give it 5 stars all around, not a single bad thing to say about this place! I would recommend Thomas Vision Clinic to anyone in need of an eye doctor! read more

Love this place...the people are very very nice, from when you walk in all the way to the Doctor. Make picking out glasses and all the extra you want on your lenses easy, even if you change your mind a couple of times, like I did. I was there for 2 hours but I never had to wait. I was called to the back after about 10 minutes, which I kept myself busy trying to find a frame I could and would fall in love with, which I did. Once I was called back we went from one machine and test to the other. Got into the exam room and I waited maybe 15 minutes to see the doctor. Once done, I kept checking out the frames they had but stayed with the one I found before being called back. The Ladies put every option on there I needed and the once I wanted...they were so patient because I made them change it a couple of times. Now I am so excited to get my new glasses, I can't hardly wait read more

I highly recommend for people to NOT go to Thomas Vision Clinic! About a year ago I did my first exam with them and they told me I could keep my old glasses so I did! It wasn't until I lost them and had to get new ones that I realized the prescription they gave me was totally off! And they didn't want to give me an exam to re check because it had been 5 months already. I decided to get contacts through them, paid for exam and fitting and they felt fine at the time but now I'm having trouble with my eye because apparently the contacts were too tight and not letting enough oxygen through. I called this morning and asked if I could have another fitting without paying since it was their mistake and she said I couldn't because I didn't do a final fitting. Mind you, they never explained there was a final fitting before ordering! Never going back there again!!! read more
