If ever you are tired of waiting hours, even days, for one single prescription to be filled then…read moreyou should DEFINITELY consider switching NOW to Acadiana Prescription Shop for all of your medicine needs! This place has been my only pharmacy for years now. I drive up and or walk in & they are always very friendly & welcoming! You are never just another name to them, they have spent time getting to know me while I wait. This place has truly been god sent because the days before this was an option were spent on the phone hours, crying while arguing with different pharmacist every time you called in, trying to get one medicine before the next became due to pick up, etc. trust me you can't go wrong here! Switch if haven't already

While there I saw a police…read moreofficer questioning an older gentleman who was accused of shoplifting by one of the store employees. Well after being put through the embarrassment of that accusation it was determined that he had not done what he was accused of by this employee. (A heavy set white lady with a very bad haircut). I wish I would have gotten her name but unfortunately she didn't have her name tag on her shirt. She did not give this gentleman any type of apology after falsely accusing him of shoplifting. I put in a description just so management if they happen to read this can sit down and talk to her about this incident. Not only about accusing this man of doing what he didn't do but about not apologizing to him afterwards.

The management of this store and corporate managers have very low ethics. Anyone who shops here…read moreknows that they do not scan groceries and other items j- there is a price sticker an the checkout staff has to read it and enter it in the register. The first two times I shopped here, I was charged twice for the same item which I noticed by looking at my receipt as I walked to the ar.. I returned to the store and got a refund. Waste of time. I notified corporate office in Texas and they never responded indicating they condone this scammy behavior to get more profit. The last time I was there, the checkout clerk tore the itemized portion of the receipt off and kept it - this way I could not check to see if I was overcharged. Nor can you.

However, his pediatrician did an override and we've been getting his Allegra through Medicaid for a while. I just called the pharmacy and I was told that the medicine is not covered. I explained that it was always covered so why now it's not? She didn't have an answer. I told her that I would research it and thanked her. Before I could even start to look into the situation, she called back. The explanation was that Medicaid did some changes and kicked the override out of the system but all was good now. This is a prime example as to why I do not use Walgreens or CVS anymore because customer service is poor and lazy. I literally had a Walgreen's pharmacy employee roll her eyes at me while I was holding a sick baby. CVS apparently can't push numbers into a system and you are a bother to them. So, I turned to locally owned smaller pharmacies where I get exceptional customer service and the staff will go above and beyond for you. So, KUDOS to Ackels Pharmacy in Youngsville, Louisiana.
