I have been her patient for almost 20 years and I am always confident in her competence. She's the best dentist in my life. I feel very lucky that another dental professional…read morerecommended her to me because my previous dentist was trying to perform unnecessary dental work that was mostly beneficial to her pocket. Dr Popkova is very thorough and competent and explained to me that the recommended procedure might have lead to damage to my teeth and possibly to losing them in the near future. Instead she replaced the fillings and repaired the teeth. It took her a long time to do what she did at a fraction of the price of what I would have had to pay at the previous dentist. She is very ethical and conservative and tries to avoid unnecessary procedures even though they might financially benefit her.

As someone who always dreaded going to the dentist, I avoided going for years until I could not avoid it any longer due to a broken tooth. Found them online and am so glad I did. Everyone there is incredibly friendly and never judgmental or condescending about the state of your teeth (as I have felt at many other dentists). They completely understand the anxiety some people (myself very much included) get about going to the dentist and do everything they can to make it a better experience. I would recommend this to anyone needing a regular dentist and especially for anyone who has phobias/anxiety/etc. about going to the dentist.

Luckily I was on a business trip back to California where I am from originally and a visit with my old dentist.
