We have used this pharmacy for years and appreciate the hard working people there. Unfortunately they are pushed beyond their ability to keep up with the volume of work. It seems that CVS is a victim of their own success. here. My wife has a really bad case of flu. I tried to call to check on the availability of her meds. No answer after 10 minutes of waiting. The doctors office attempted to get through and waited 17 minutes before they gave up. I drove into town and let the phone ring for 25 minutes before giving up. I drove back to the doctors office and got hard copy prescriptions and started to call around for the meds. Most pharmacies in the area answered within 2 minutes. Some within seconds. That includes other CVS locations... and I ended up driving to one of those where I got meds for my wife in 15 minutes from some very nice folks who were efficient and personable. The CVS on Main Street in Anderson needs more people, someone who can answer the phone, maybe a call back phone system, and probably a number of additional pharmacists. CVS TAKE NOTE: YOU ARE LOSING BUSINESS TO OTHER STORES... THERE IS A WALGREENS ARCOSS THE STREET!

I recommend using their app on your phone which enables you to manage/refill your prescriptions and see the status/prices, etc. at any given time. It is very convenient and helpful when trying to keep up with your medication(s). I also recommend their CVS Caremark/ExtraCare Card. It is their store savings card that you can scan whenever you enter the store for coupons (using the scanner mounted on a pole close to the front entrance) and use each time you make a purchase of any kind - prescriptions or general merchandise. The card tracks what you buy and produces coupons accordingly. For instance, if you buy a 90-day supply of vitamins, the card notes this and you will get a coupon in about 80 days for vitamins. That sort of thing... Note* The CVS app and CVS Card are two separate things and you will need both to take advantage of the services I have described here. This CVS is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. I'm not sure why, but it is. If you don't already have a pharmacy, this CVS might be for you.

First of all when you order a medication from the automated on-line system, it does not tell you that the medication is out of stock at that pharmacy. Twice we've gotten there to pick up a medication that was running out that day to find they didn't fill the prescription. When we questioned the Pharmacy Manager during the first encounter, instead of answering our questions, she said "she was not going to argue with us because she had had a bad day". So it happened again where we called in a refill on the automated system and when went to pick it up, the manager told us they would not have it for 3 days. Again when we tried to clarify why this kept happening, she told us "she was not going to argue with us again and she suggested we take our prescriptions to Walgreens". Walgreens can thank CVS for the great free advertising because that is exactly what we are going to do. By the way, I called 1-800-SHOP-CVS and filed a complaint and asked for a call back from a district leader. That was 5 days ago and I have heard nothing.

Whether you're in the drive through or waiting inside, be prepared to waste an annoying amount of time. It's not unusual for me to wait 20 minutes in the drive through. Today's example: I called in a prescription on Friday and it was out of stock until Tuesday. I go to pick it up and sit in the drive through behind a car. After a few minutes, when that car in front of me pulls off (surprise, surprise: without their prescription) I pull up and the curtain has been pulled at the window. Closed for lunch. So me and the car waiting behind me were left to drive off and come back.

She was very nice and quick which I was thankful given how sick I felt. I was then seen less than 10 minutes later by the Nurse Practitioner, Brandi. She was phenomenal. She listened to my symptoms and concerns intently and was very kind and compassionate with how sick I was. She got me in and out and got me all the prescriptions I needed to start feeling better. I couldn't recommend this Minute Clinic more!
