Their staff members are incredibly friendly and will help you load your tree onto your car. But if you choose to do it yourself, they provide twine (though trust me, if you're loading it on top of your car, they certainly know what they're doing). Also the farm takes both cash and card, have their own website which clearly defines the prices, and have a small little food/Christmas market by where you pay for your tree. Some advice: You'll want to park in the lot that's directly behind the building you first see when turning into their property. You've the option of walking to the tree field (it's literally a 5 minutes walk) or hitching a ride on their vehicle. Once you find your tree, they'll tag it, give you the corresponding ticket, load it on an atv, then bag it for you. You meet them back by the market place, give them the ticket, they'll measure it, write the height on your ticket, you'll pay for it in the market place, they'll stamp your ticket, you take it back to the guys bagging the trees, they'll give you your tree and offer to help load it onto your car. Honestly, they've got the whole process covered well. FYI: I don't know how this farm operated back in 2011 but it is by far no longer what the first reviewer is saying. I purchased 4 individual Full Gas ($60) seeds, out of the 4, only one sprouted with a stalk about the size of a pine needle, the others did not even crack. I even used 2 methods, soak 24hrs then into dirt, and paper towel method. I'm not a newbie and have sprouted many seeds without any problems. I just think this is pretty shitty to do to a customer. I will not be going back and will spread the word about this. They did reply, they said that I was inexperienced, after 60 years I've cracked more beans than these 2 have seen! Funny how the seeds are'nt even listed on the distributors website, that tells me OLD SEEDS! Then they badger me on fb and send a jpeg of an order for seeds dated 12/2022, at least 1yr 3 months ago, and thats if they sent fresh seeds from the distributor, Bottom line they dont stand behind their products and treat local customers like shit. 1st of all buddy, your missing the point. If I buy something from a retailer (you), and bring it back because its faulty, the retailer takes it back and then THEY deal with the company they got it from, not the consumer! I was stoked they had seeds, as a breeder myself, they have a decent selection with some hitters (Twenty20 Mendo), and other less commercially available packs. I would say to the previous bad review, that just because you plant some beans doesn't mean you are replicating the natural conditions. If not, you may not get them all to sprout. Just saying, each cultivar has requirements, Sativa's can be very stringy, and can require more heat and different soil conditions if they are heritage lines( say Jack Herer ), and just because things worked in the past doesn't mean you have the same water, time of moon cycle, proper day / night temps and proper soil hydration. So many factors, and you got 1 to sprout. Why complain at the store, sounds like you maybe should buy a different pack that may work better and understand your abilities are not the same as nature, so regardless of how incredible you are, nature happens. Old seeds, I pop seeds 10-15 years later, especially sealed packs. They aren't bad after a year, 3 months unless they are really being mishandled. And I too bought seeds, and 100% germinated, because I do follow strict guidelines and KNOW what I am choosing to grow and how to grow it. Not all plants are the same, they in fact are all very different. Last note, old stored seeds for no longer available lines are highly sought after and can go for 10-20x the original pack price, some cost $1500 for 10 seeds that may not sprout. Good genetics cost money and are hard to come by. Some packs being 20-30 years old at ridiculous prices. Just keep that in mind when buying a few seeds, you may only get 1 healthy plant, so buy more and plant a few extra. If you get too many great plants, pass one to a friend.

Even if you already have your own artificial tree, stop by and hang out for some extra Christmas cheer. The barn stocked with antiques (not for sale) and decorated with fresh cut garland, fresh Christmas wreaths and kissing balls (the latter two ARE for sale), is worth the trip alone. Past years, they've had dog sleds to help pull your tree, live music and other fun events at the farm from Thanksgiving weekend through Christmas eve. While not as close as everything else in the village, Saltsmans Christmas tree farm is walkable from the shops and restaurants at the center of town.
