What a beautiful space! Victoria Gardens is one of the most aesthetically pleasing nurseries I've ever been to, with a main house that invites you in to gaze with admiration upon everything from windchimes to outdoor rugs to plant stands to quaint furniture. Gifts galore. All the things to make your indoor/outdoor spaces gorgeous. When we arrived, a super friendly staff person greeted us and pointed us out to the annuals that were on sale. Although it was a pretty insanely hot and sunny day, we took as much time as possible to peruse the outdoor offerings. While there wasn't a ton of flowers and plants, and I noticed some not looking terribly vibrant (keep in mind, we came in the heart of summer, and I have a feeling there's a lot more in spring), everything is lovingly arranged. And there are good sales. I look forward to returning next spring or at the start of fall, even if just to admire the breath-taking environs and decor. read more

Just driving by and stopped in, always looking for another houseplant. Not a huge selection of plants, but what they had was well tended, healthy, and the prices didn't dent your wallet. Very friendly and helpful. Walked out with three new green companions. All are thriving. Would definitely stop back in should I be in the neighborhood again. read more

Large garden beds that my husband and I had put so much work into a few years ago were unfortunately being neglected the past few years. Figuring out how to clean out the beds was completely overwhelming, so we contacted Victoria, owner of Victoria Gardens. She came to the house and helped us to come up with a plan. We essentially set a budget and discussed priorities for the garden, and then in 1 day she had a 3-person crew come out and completely whip the space back into shape. When I left for work that morning, the garden was overgrown and crowded, and when I came home, it had been transformed. I honestly didn't think that our garden space could look so good, and was just behind pleased by the work that had been done. My husband and I agreed that it was money extremely well spent. Victoria and her crew are amazing. Our house has a cute pond area with a waterfall but it was all so overgrown when we bought the place. We knew it had the potential to be amazing but we didn't exactly know where to start. We know nothing about gardening so we called Victoria. She came was able to immediately give us a vision. She noticed a beautiful rock wall behind all of the brush and weeds and we started to brainstorm ways to turn that into a beautiful meditation garden. We set a budget and her crew immediately got to work transforming our overgrown little pond into a breathtaking oasis. We were blown away by the level of care her staff took in creating this space as if it were their own. Once the crew finished, Victoria scheduled a walkthrough so that she could teach us how to lovingly take care of every single plant. We learned so much! Went today for the first time (looking for some shade-tolerant perennials for an outdoor bed) and I found everything I could possibly want, and then some. Found Victoria's Gardens this year. If you love to garden this is the place to go. Her selection of perennial plants is beyond fantastic. There are old favorites and interesting new plants to be found. New plants arrive weekly. They are arranged by sunlight requirements and there is a large selection of deer resident plants. Plus don't forget to visit her inside shop. It's filled with house plants, garden essentials and interesting little gifts. read more

I understand you're primarily a garden store and landscapers, but I find it absurd that you have zero knowledge about lawns such that you can't even give me five minutes of your time to troubleshoot and make me feel like an idiot for even asking you. I had a $175 "consultation" with Victoria a few days before Thanksgiving (2020). I spent a couple of hours preparing and we spent a little over an hour reviewing the survey; a site plan with notes I had made over the past year about sun and shade, wind direction, where water pools, etc.; the architectural drawings for the house, and a selection of magazine tear-sheets that indicated the kinds of things I was thinking about for the property (just under half an acre). I said that I hoped to do some of the preparatory work in December before the ground froze and develop a landscaping plan over the winter. She said she would have something for me "next week." It soon began to seem that Hell would freeze over before I would hear from her. Now, two months later, having made allowances for the holidays and covid, I called and got no response. Called again and spoke to her assistant, and then today (1/24/2021) got a call from Herself. She's "so sorry" that I "fell off [her] radar." She thinks we need another 2 hours of consultation -- for an additional "about $300" because even though "I have your file here" she "doesn't know what we're doing." I had contacted Victoria originally in error, meaning to contact another local company led by a woman named Veronica with whom I had already had some conversation -- for free -- about refurbishing the property. Victoria alleged that Veronica is "not reliable." And while it's true that my experience with Veronica was disappointing, I allege that this is the pot calling the kettle black -- for 175 of my dollars. I don't know if I'm more distressed by the complete disrespect for my time, trust, and preparation or by the loss of the money. But if you are looking for someone who actually is a reliable landscaper, I urge you to look elsewhere, as I am. read more

I love Victoria Gardens especially for their not-so-common plant varieties. I've gotten some wonderful native plants there also. Victoria is VERY knowledgeable on all things garden related. I always look forward to my annual visit. It's well worth the trip. read more

Victoria Gardens did an AMAZING job on landscaping around a pond that Victoria's late husband built many years ago. The pond is set in among the trees and with her plantings it truly looks like an enchanted forest. The beautiful variety of plants is truly stunning. Victoria's Garden is one of our area's most unique nurseries. It's dramatic topography makes it an unfolding experience. As you walk in, you are greeted by a beautiful arrangement of featured shrubs, plants and trees along with some interesting garden art or containers. Enter the shop to find a space filled with indoor plants, planters, garden gifts, outdoor rugs, pots, tools, fertilizers, seeds, sculpture and even some jewelry! Victoria has a great eye and a wonderful aesthetic. So not only does she choose wonderful things, her display vignettes and arrangements are artful as well. Climb the steps up to the next level and enter Victoria's Garden! Instead of seeing plants in rows on wooden racks, you move through a garden, seeing pots of plants displayed as if they are planted. The plants are in the areas where they will do best, so there is little need to read the tags to find out what they need. If they are in the shade...that is what they need! There are always some truly different varieties as well as standard things and her plant material is always in excellent condition. The greatest part of the experience at Victoria's is the experienced staff. Always knowledgeable, ever present and as excited about your garden needs as they are about their own! And...of course...Victoria herself is there to help you solve any design issues by listening and suggesting solutions. In addition, she does consults, design and installation.
