It is fast, reasonably priced, and has a good selection. I had tires installed here on two vehicles. They do a good job, tires are not cheaper anywhere else near here, and they have a great selection. Installation could be faster. Even with an appointment it takes nearly two hours. But I will still go back. In many ways the state of Georgia is filled with stupid people, nowhere more so than the state legislature. My specific complaint here is that in Georgia one may only own two liquor stores. So the Athens Costco cannot sell hard liquor. If you want Kirkland liquor (and you should) you need to go to Costco at Perimeter or Alpharetta. Do not blame Costco for this. If you want to eat lunch like a real CEO go to the foodcourt for the delicious $1.50 hot dog and coke. It's good. The other things at the foodcourt that have me addicted are the iced coffee and the ice cream sundae. Both are great depending on my mood, but I don't like the brownie bites because there are the soft kind which are not my style. Oh and every employee I have met here has been extremely awesome!

It is so good, you want to eat two sandwiches (overall with those prices), but I doubt you could. The personnel attending are very friendly and willing to answer any question you have, I am from the North East so it was not easy to understand "Southernish"... ha ha ha :) If you go between 6:30 am and 8:30 am, I am sure you will find a line; so go with enough time if you need to go to work after eating there. Gas is always about ten cents cheaper than in town real gasoline stations and it's only about a 2 or 3 minute drive farther away on Atlanta highway. When you walk inside you'll find all the necessities. There's a huge selection & good deals on drinks from coke's, to energy & juice, beer and wine. If lottery is your thing. They just recently remodeled the checkout desk. It's much more open, bright, and inviting with an enormous selection of lottery scratches. There's plenty tables to kick back and play/watch live Leno drawings. They have the best gambling for entertainment machine's in town. And they really do pay off too like large casino's elsewhere a million miles away from Athens ga. All there machine's have recently been replaced with the really large style machines found where gambling is fully legalized. If your a vaper or smoker they got awesome deals everyting you can buy at other stations, they always have it all in stock too. My favorite part of visiting Sam's #2 is the the staff. They're extremely personable and very friendly. Also, they always have plenty of staff on duty to keep the line's short and moving rite along that makes for a quick in and out if your in a hurry. I think it's the best station in town. So, check it. And, don't forget to try your luck on their big machine's for a shot at some gasoline or store merchandise. This is RaceTrac store #2329 and it's located on Jimmy Carter Blvd near Peachtree Industrial Blvd…read more This is one of RaceTrac's current generation "RT6K" stores that carry over 4,000 retail and grocery items in about 6,000 square feet of floor space (hence the model name). It opened in April 2014. It's part of a bigger, several-years-long construction plan, which includes the Zaxby's next door, to develop all the red, barren land in the immediate block. RaceTrac, which is headquartered in Atlanta, is the only convenience store and gas station chain that can really compete against QuikTrip, which, while headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, rules the metro Atlanta market. These RT6K stores are great. Like QT's current gen stores, they're big, bright, modern, and clean. They're open 24/7, offer a bevy of food, drink, and retail options, and are outfitted with a crew of uniformed employees. A few things that set RaceTrac apart from QT: (1) RaceTrac has both indoor and outdoor seating. QT only has outdoor seating. (2) RaceTrac has Swirl World, a self-serve frozen yogurt bar. QT does not. However, I have to caveat #2 -- the Swirl World machines were out of operation at this location during my visit. There was a sign posted that said they would be "swirling" again soon. (3) They offer fresh, hot, boiled peanuts in two flavors, original and Cajun, for $1.99 for 16 oz. and $2.99 for 32 oz. QT doesn't have fresh boiled peanuts. The gas station is spacious with easy in-and-out access from Jimmy Carter Blvd. There are 18 pumps. All have E-85 flex fuel and I believe all also have diesel. The gas prices are competitive. Like all businesses, RaceTrac isn't perfect. Two places where QT wins are: (1) Free air. QT offers free air for your tires. RaceTrac doesn't. You have to pay. (2) Top Tier detergent gasoline. QT uses Top Tier fuel. RaceTrac doesn't. Regardless, this is still a good gas station.
